Live Infinitely Forever Muscle Roller Review

I like going to the gym and working out on a regular basis, but I don't enjoy the sore muscles that can accompany my routine. I also like getting deep tissue massages, but those can get expensive! The Live Infinitely Forever Muscle Roller is an affordable way to work out those knots in between.

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

This massage stick/muscle roller is made with a professional-grade flex-resistant stainless steel core surrounded by seven ABS plastic rollers that contour to your body. The ergonomic handles are made with a soft rubber grip. The unit is 18 inches long and lifetime guaranteed to never break or bend.

This can be used pre- or post-work out to break down muscle knots, relieve pain, and reduce soreness. The only muscles I roll pre-work out are my thighs, and then I used this on everything post work out!

The massage stick is not fancy looking, but it's effective in its simplicity. The plastic rollers make it easy to roll this over any sore spots, and I especially liked using it on my lower back, calves, and neck. It felt really good on my neck and shoulders! You can apply as much or as little pressure as you want, so this is a great option for people who find foam rollers to be too harsh on their muscles.

I have enjoyed using this muscle roller in conjunction with my foam roller. I prefer to use this on my lower back and neck, since those areas are not as easy to work with a foam roller. It's also really great to use along my IT bands (muscles that run along your hips down your leg) because the plastic rollers glide smoothly over that entire area.
Bottom Line: I think the Live Infinitely Forever Muscle Roller is an excellent way to work out any soreness you may be feeling, whether it's related to working out or not. Since it's so lightweight and easy to use it's perfect for all ages.

March Beauty Box 5 Review

Beauty Box 5 has become one of my favorite subscription boxes because they're super affordable and always send great products! This month's box had items perfect for transitioning into spring.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Beauty Box 5 sends five deluxe samples and full-sized products to you for only $12 per month. Products range from color cosmetics to skincare to hair care, and more! Shipping is free to U.S. addresses and $3 to Canadian addresses.

I really liked this month's samples because there were a lot of colorful products. I find that sometimes beauty boxes send mostly skincare, but Beauty Box 5 has done a good job of sending a variety of different types of samples.
  • Personail Custom Floral Nail Polish Wraps ($12.99, full-sized) - These nail wraps are made in Australia and have pretty floral designs on them. The prints sent were assorted, so I'm curious what designs other subscribers received.
  • Mai Couture Blush & Highlighter Papers ($1.20 for four sheets) - I have been wanting to try these for a while. I've used blotting papers but never color papers. Each packet contains two papers.
  • Pur~Lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum ($31.20 for .24 oz) - A full-sized tube of this is .5 oz and retails for $65! It firms, brightens, hydrates, and decreases puffiness.
  • Glamour Dolls Eyeshadow ($3.99, full-sized) - Assorted Glamour Dolls products were sent out and I received an eyeshadow duo in "Secret Weapon." The shades are a red/brown and light gold shimmer. This is the perfect little travel-sized duo!
  • Colour Me Sky Blue Fragrance - I didn't calculate the approximate value here because I don't know how many ounces are in the vial, but a full-sized bottle costs $20. This has notes of jasmine and peppery freesia and is quite floral. I'm not a fan of florals, especially freesia, but I like the packaging.
  • Beauty Box 5 Custom Temporary Tattoo - This is a fun bonus sixth item. The info card has the value listed at $2.
Personail Nail Wraps
Glamour Dolls Eyeshadow
Bottom Line: I'm really excited to try the Mai Couture blush and highlighter papers and the Personail nail wraps! I think this box had a really good selection of samples.

March Birchbox Review - Ready For Anything

I decided to go with the curated Birchbox this month because none of the other sample choice options interested me and this had quite a few things I wanted to try.

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! Post contains referral links.

When I watched the sneak peek video for this box I actually liked every single item that they were featuring! I didn't end up loving everything, but it was fun to get a box of samples that I knew I wanted to try and would use.

  • Parlor by Jeff Chastain Smoothing Blowout Spray - I've gotten a few other Parlor products from Birchbox before and I don't love their scent but I do like the quality. I use this as a heat protectant before I blow dry my hair in the morning.
  • Wilma Schumann Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads - The packaging in the photo above is ripped because I used these before I realized that the first photos I took of my box were too dark, so I taped it up for the second shoot. I love using these types of eye pads because they feel so nice and cooling on my eyes.
  • Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio - I thought I was going to get the "Vignette" trio, which is made up of purples, because that was what was included in the promo video and photos but I got the "Filter" one. I actually prefer it, it has neutral matte browns. See photo below for the shades.
  • Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream - I've heard so many good things about Kiehl's products but I've never used any, so this sample was the one that really made me want this box. This is a really thick and hydrating cream so I only use it at night. It feels a bit too heavy on my skin for day wear.
  • Milk Makeup Lip Color in C.R.E.A.M. - I'm sure this is a great product but the sample it just too tiny for me to even bother using it. I posted it for swap in case it was something someone else wanted to try.

Bottom Line: I loved this box and I'm so glad I got to try everything, especially the Kiehl's. My favorite ended up being the Smashbox eyeshadow trio.

Try The World Portugal Box Review and Coupon

Whenever I visit a new place the first thing I want to do is find a good place to eat! I love traveling and I love food, and Try The World is a fantastic subscription box that allows me to indulge both of those interests right from home!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Their newest box is the Portugal box, which I am reviewing here. As previously stated, Try The World lets you explore the world through food. Their in-house food experts collaborate with chefs who are experts in regional cuisines to curate each month's box. Previous chefs have included Jamie Bissonnette (Spain box), Chris Jaeckle (Japan box), and David Rosengarten (Paris box).

What I like best about Try The World is they don't just send a random assortment of products. Each item is sourced directly from the country of origin from small, family-owned companies and can be used together to create a complete experience. For example, past boxes have included items for a Spanish tapas party, a Japanese tea ceremony, and a Moroccan dinner date!

Try The World ships every other month, and when you subscribe your first box will ship within two weeks of your order. Here are their pricing options:
  • Bi-monthly: $39 per box
  • Every 6 months: $105 for three boxes
  • Every 12 months: $198 for six boxes
Shipping is free and you can also pause or cancel your subscription at any time.

Each box contains a foldout Culture Guide that has a ton of information about the featured destination and the items inside the box. It also contains suggestions on how to use your box. This month's card had two experiences, one for Portuguese Bacalhau and one for After-Dinner Treats! The card is much bigger than the photos above (it folds out to five sections and is double-sided), but I wanted to show close-ups so you could get a glimpse of what information is on it.

  • Briosa Gourmet Codfish in Olive Oil - Codfish, or bacalhau when in its typical salted form, is an iconic Portuguese food. Briosa Gourmet wraps their codfish in packaging reminiscent of hydraulic tiles, which is an art form where pigments are pressed into cement. The info card suggests cooking this into fried rice or blending it into a pesto.
  • RARE by Quinta de Jugais Pumpkin and Hazelnut Jam - This premium spread is one of the most popular fruit spreads in Portugal! I love pumpkin so I'm excited to try this out. I think it will go great on toast for breakfast.
  • Olivais do Sul Extra-Virgin Olive Oil - The info card says that this is bitter and slightly spicy and I think it sounds delicious. I love anything spicy, and I don't usually think of olive oil as being so. The olives used to make it are grown in central Portugal and cold-pressed to preserve their flavor.
  • Casa de Prisca Caramelized Onions with Port Wine - Port wine is one of Portugal's most iconic spirits, which is something I didn't know before I got this box. I had heard of Port wine before, but I didn't know it was from Portugal (although, looking at the name now, it makes sense). This sounds like it will be great with cheese and crackers.
  • Casa Lucena Cookies - These lemon cookies are crispy and buttery and are made with an old Portuguese recipe. I like eating them with my coffee as a morning treat!
  • Hands on Earth Sea Salt and Lemon - Hands on Earth is committed to sustainability and healthful living, which is reflected in this product. It's made without any pesticides or chemicals.
  • IT Apple and Cinnamon Black Tea - I love tea and the apple and cinnamon flavor sounds delicious! This blend is made with leaves, flowers, and fruit grown in the mountains of Serra de Estrela in eastern Portugal.
  • Paladin Piri Piri Hot Sauce - I have a recipe for Piri Piri chicken that I've been dying to try, and now I have the sauce to do so! This is a quintessentially Portuguese condiment that was first introduced to Europe in the 15th century when Christopher Columbus brought piri piri peppers back home.
I'm excited to try all of these Portuguese foods! I am not a huge fan of seafood so I think I will opt to try Experience Two on the info card, which is after-dinner treats. I'll pass off the bacalhau to my more pescatarian friends.

Bottom Line: I think Try The World is a well-curated box and I love that it allows me to try foods from other cultures that I wouldn't normally have access to! They include a ton of information about the featured destination and the products inside, and I especially like that they offer suggestions on how to use all of the items together. This is a great box for all food lovers!

Soap.Club Handcrafted Natural Soap Review

I love a great smelling bath and body product, and there's nothing I love more than a beautiful, wonderfully scented bar soap! Soap.Club makes affordable, handmade soaps in a variety of fantastic scents. I tried their Black Forest Timber soap and am in love with it!

*Disclaimer: I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Soap.Club makes premium soaps that are aged up to six weeks. Each bar is made with natural and organic ingredients using the cold process method. They're made by hand and use aromatherapy scents. All bars are also made with non-GMO oils and natural colors. The ingredients are the same for each soap, save for the specific fragrance oils:

Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Soybean Oil, Hemp Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, and Essentials Oil/Fragrance

The bars are 5.3 oz and about 2.5" squares in height and length, and one inch thick. The Black Forest Timber scent is perfect for me; it smells perfectly woodsy with hints of pine. It lathers up nicely and doesn't leave my skin feeling overly dry afterwards. As you can see from the ingredients list, the olive oil, coconut oil, ans organic shea butter surely have something to do with that!
  • You can purchase Soap.Club soaps on Amazon
Bottom Line: I love the Soap.Club Black Forest Timber soap and I highly recommend these bars to anyone who likes to indulge in affordable luxury! The bars are made with high quality ingredients and come in a variety of scents, so there's sure to be one you'll enjoy!
