New Jewelry Subscription: Jewelreveal with Giveaway!

Jewelreveal is a brand new subscription that's launching tomorrow, June 1st! They sent me a box to review and I am so impressed. This box is looking to be a really good one; keep reading to find out what it's all about!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Jewelreveal sends premium jewelry that fits your style, and every subscriber has the chance to win a surprise piece worth up to $5,000! When you sign up you'll fill out a quick survey about your preferences, and you'll receive a box with 2-3 beautiful pieces and a reveal code. The reveal code can then be entered on the Jewelreveal website to see if you've won another piece of jewelry!

They have four subscription options and ship to U.S. and Canadian addresses. Shipping is free to the U.S. and $7 to Canada. Here are the price points:
  • One Month: $39.95/month
  • Three Months: $33.95/month
  • Six Months: $29.95/month
  • 12 Months: $24.95/month

The box arrived bubble wrapped inside of another box. At first I didn't realize what it was because the outer box was just a plain white standard box, but I loved the packaging once I removed the bubble wrap. I'm glad that they bubble wrap them, though, because it adds extra security and padding for the jewelry.

I received three pieces, each inside of a little bag, along with an informational card describing each item. I didn't win an extra piece of jewelry, but the retail value of my items was $128, as listed on the info card.

At first I thought I received four separate pieces, but the two necklaces are actually one layered necklace that clips together.

The first thing I noticed was that both necklaces were very tangled, as you can see in the photo above. I wanted to be sure to take a picture of them as they arrived so you could see what I meant. It took a while to untangle both of them and I had to use a safety pin to get them entirely untangled. I would have preferred if they were secured to and/or wrapped around some kind of backing to avoid them getting tangled.

Here's an overview of what I got:
  • Gold Tone Necklace ($60) - This is a cute and delicate little necklace and it's perfect for me.  There are actually two strands that clip together for a layered look. I love layered necklaces so these are a home run for me!
  • Gold Tone Bangle ($48) - I'm not really a bracelet wearer but I still really like this because it's simple and pretty. It has a matte-like finish and is nice and lightweight.
  • Cubic Zirconia Stud Earrings ($20) - I actually needed new studs for my brother's wedding in three weeks, so these came at the perfect time! This is my favorite type of earring to wear.
As you can see, I received all gold pieces. But that's a good thing! I will wear silver jewelry but gold is definitely my preference, which I noted when I filled out the survey before receiving a box.
Bottom Line: I am really impressed with Jewelreveal! I think it's a good value at $39.95 per month and the quality of the jewelry they sent is excellent. Every piece is one I would absolutely wear, so they matched up pieces to my preferences very well. My only minor complaint was that the necklaces were tangled, but aside from that everything in this box was lovely!

Jewelreveal has offered one box for one of my readers to win! Enter using the giveaway widget below.

April Freedom Japanese Market Review

If you love Japanese snacks then you have to try Freedom Japanese Market! They send snacks straight from Japan to your door every month. Not Japanese snacks sourced from Japan and shipped from an address in the U.S., these are curated and sent to you from Japan.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Freedom Japanese Market was founded by the husband and wife team of Ken and Sanae, and their kids Juliet and Kevin work as their official taste testers! The boxes are always packed with Japanese snacks as well as an Origami of the Month! This one is so cute--it's a daruma doll, which is a round, traditional Japanese toy that is often seen as a good luck talisman.

They have three pricing options:
  • Puchi Pack ($12.99/month) - This is a mini version of the original subscription box that contains five to eight snacks.
  • Original Subscription Pack ($24.99/month) - Each box contains 12 to 16 full-sized and sample snacks.
  • Family Pack ($45.99/month) - This has double the snacks of the original subscription.
Each subscription option has free worldwide shipping! You can also purchase one-time sample packs for $15, $27, and $50, respectively if you don't want to commit to a renewing subscription.

This is a review of the Original Subscription Pack box.
  • Ramen Baba - This is an instant ramen that you can eat right out of the package, no water required. I've never seen this before; all the ramen I've had prior was dry and needed to be boiled.
  • Karappa - These are curry flavored corn puff snacks. The packaging is adorable!
  • Cheese Bit - I think I'm most excited to try these. They're crispy cheddar cheese flavored crackers.
  • Umaibo Premium - The informational print out says that this is a "delightful combination of mozzerella and camembert" cheeses, but I'm not sure if that means it's like a string cheese or something else with those flavors.
  • Train Chocolate (bonus item) - This is a cute little train-shaped box with chocolates inside.
  • Frog Egg - This isn't a real egg, but a little gummy candy.
  • Chocolate Coin - This one is pretty self-explanatory; it's a chocolate shaped like a 10 yen coin.
  • Lemon Cheesecake Pocky - Pocky is so good and I've never had this flavor before. If you've never had Pocky, they're these wafer sticks dipped in flavored cream.
  • Chocolate Pie - This has a crispy pie crust and sweet chocolate filling.
  • DIY Dodotto TsubuPyon - I always see DIY candy kits in boxes like these and I think they're so fun. This has flavored powders that you mix with water to create sweet and sour jellies.
  • Pachi-Pachi Panic! - These are similar to Pop Rocks and are a mix of sweet milk ramune and sour strawberry flavors.
  • Dracula Gum - I could see this being really popular with kids, especially around Halloween. It's a cola flavored gum that turns your mouth red, so definitely not for everyday chewing (unless you're okay with having a red mouth throughout your day, ha!).
  • Kit-Kat - Japan has tons of unique flavored Kit-Kats, and this one is green tea flavored. I've had these before and they're delicious.
  • Ume Mints - These are sour plum flavored mints, which I think is interesting. I guess they're basically like flavored Tic Tacs.
The April Freedom Japanese Market box was full of great snacks! I love that they send things that aren't readily available in the U.S. Although some of these snacks may seem familiar (especially Pocky), there are often foreign-made versions for sale in the States that are different than the kinds available directly in Japan.
Bottom Line: I think Freedom Japanese Market is a fun and affordable way to treat yourself to authentic Japanese snacks! They always have a great variety of things to try.

May The Bride Box Review

The Bride Box is a subscription that delivers exactly what you think it does: beautiful products for brides! It's definitely tailored towards a specific audience, but I still think that their box is a lot of fun.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

The Bride Box sends bridal gifts and goodies every month and has three payment options, with free shipping to the U.S.:

  • Monthly: $35 per month
  • Six months: $195 every six months (saves $15)
  • 12 months: $375 every 12 months (saves $45)
The Bride Box works closely with brands, artists, and designers who create various gifts curated just for the box!

The box is beautifully packaged and I love the blue color. My brother is getting married in three weeks and I'm in the wedding party and their colors are blue and white, too! Also, I thought the "You're Engaged!" writing on the top of the box was a cute detail.

My first impression of the items inside is that they are definitely crafty and I instantly thought of Etsy because of the handmade feel of everything. I also immediately thought that everything was super cute!

  • Bachette I Said Yes Tank - I love the glitter writing on this! I am not engaged, not even in a relationship, but some day if I ever am engaged I will definitely wear this around! It's adorable. It's a size large, but it's a smaller large and it fit me pretty well.
  • Moko & Company Cheers Tote - This tote fits a standard-sized wine bottle and the information card recommends using it to gift a bottle to your bridal party. I will definitely use this to gift wine to someone in the future.
  • Sizzle Cone Designs Wedding Vow-Libs - This is such a cute idea! One side has prompts for you to fill in (adjective, body part, etc), and then after you pick your random words the other side has the story to fill them in to.
  • Painted Confetti Love Never Fails Sign - This is my favorite item in the box. It could be placed out during the reception as a decoration and then hung up in your home. I currently have it on the little table I have in my entrance way (see photo below).
  • Thank You Card - This isn't listed on the informational card, but it's a pretty card that says "Thank you from the bride and groom" on the inside.
A photo posted by Danielle (@brutongaster) on

Bottom Line: I think The Bride Box would be a great gift for any bride or newly engaged woman! The items in May's box were a lot of fun and I think any bride would be excited to wear them around and use them.

Travalo Classic HD Review and Coupon

I never used to be much of a perfume fan, but ever since I started getting more and more samples in subscription boxes I got addicted. I have tons of perfumes now, more than any one person probably should, and I like to take them with me when I travel. Travalo makes this easy!

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Travalo makes stylish perfume atomizers that you can fill with any of your perfumes. They come in lots of different designs, and I am reviewing the Classic tube. It's made with an aluminum cover and a glass window so you can see how much perfume you have left. It retails for $15.99. It holds 50 sprays, and the best part is is that it's TSA-approved! I'm definitely taking this with me when I go to New York City next month,

I love the beautiful blue color! There are lots of colors to choose from, including (but not limited to) pink, silver, and purple. The design is really sleek and it's easy to fill up and spray. The nozzle dispenses a good amount of perfume and I didn't have any issues with it being hard to push down.

I used my Vince Camuto perfume to try this out. At first I wasn't quite sure how to fill it up and the instructions on the side of the packaging were kind of vague (just pictures, no written instructions), but after a few minutes I realized that the bottom of the unit has a connection that you place on top of your perfume. You'll have to remove the cap of your perfume like in the photo above, but you just press the bottom of the Travalo onto your perfume bottle and keep pumping until the bottle is full. You can watch your progress in the window on the side.

Here's another look at how to connect the Travalo to your perfume.
  • Visit the Travalo website to view the full line of products
    • Use coupon code MOM for 50% off any Travalo, expires May 31, 2016
Bottom Line: I absolutely love the Travalo Classic! I think it's such a great idea and I love that it's TSA-approved. I like having a perfume with me, and this is a really easy and stylish way to take one with you on-the-go.

May Beauty Box 5 Review

The theme for May's Beauty Box 5 was "Mer-May-d" (get it, mermaid?) and had products to get you ready for summer fun in the sun!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Beauty Box 5 costs $12 per month, with free shipping to the U.S. and $3 to Canada. Each month you'll receive five deluxe samples (and often full-sized products) ranging from color cosmetics to hair care to skincare, and more!

This month's box had a fun assortment of products and three full-sized items.

Swatches of the Appeal Cosmetics lipstick and Elizabeth Mott eyeliner
Bottom Line: This month's box had a total approximate retail value of $61.82! The three full-sized products were all high value, and I think this box had a great variety of items that fit well with the mermaid theme!

May Play! by Sephora Review

I finally got off of the wait list for Play! by Sephora last month and this is my first box! I was waiting for months to be able to subscribe, and it was so worth it. This box is fantastic!

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love!

Play! by Sephora costs $10 a month ($10.80 with tax if you live in NYS like me) and shipping is free. Subscriptions are closed, but you can sign up for the wait list here. I think Sephora said you'll get an email when it's your turn to sign up, but I actually saw on MySubscriptionAddiction.com that they were opening subs to some people on the wait list so I tried and got in. I then got an email three days later. So I guess you can wait for an email or just keep plugging your email into the site once in a while to see if you can sign up!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this box. There are two very similar boxes at the same price point (okay let's just say it, Birchbox and Ipsy), and one of them (Birchbox) I really love and the other I've never cared for (Ipsy). Luckily, this first month of Play! has been fantastic!

Not only do you get samples of products that are all available at Sephora, but you'll get a Play! pass that's good for an in-store tutorial on how to use the products and 50 extra Beauty Insider points with a purchase.

I also really liked the canvas bag that everything came in. I'm sure that they'll get old and I'll end up recycling future ones, but for now they're good for storing the myriad of other samples I have lying around.

This month's theme was "The Forces of Nature," which was a great one for me to start with because I love natural and organic products. I'm not really sure that any of these are what I would consider natural and organic, but there was still some good stuff inside.
  • Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Kimchi - This is high pigmented lipstick that delivers hydration using 12 edible oils. I haven't used it yet because the shade is bright pink (see photo at the end of this post) and I'm not sure it'll look good on me, but maybe I'll use the Play! pass and a Sephora associate can give me some tips on what other colors to wear it with! I also like that it's named Kimchi because I'm Korean and I love kimchi.
  • Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask - This is the second sample of this that I've gotten and I'm not sure if I'll use it. It sounds wonderful, it's made with naturally-derived ingredients, but I have a lot of deep conditioning masks to use up already. This may be swapped.
  • Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial - I love Korres products. This is an overnight mask that brights and moisturizers with wild rose oil. I've never used an overnight mask before but I'm excited to try this one.
  • Origins Maskimizer + Drink Up & Clear Improvement Masks - This is such an interesting product! The Maskimizer is a mist to use pre-mask to optimize the skin's condition. They also included a charcoal mask (Clear Improvement) and an overnight moisture mask (Drink Up).
  • Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine - Atelier Cologne makes my all-time favorite perfume, Vanille Insensee, and this one is also very nice. It's a great citrus scent for summer.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Kimchi

Korres Wild Rose Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial

Origins Maskimizer (in atomizer) and masks

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Kimchi
Bottom Line: Love, love, love(!!!) this box! It may be that my excitement is heightened by the fact that I waited so long to be able to subscribe, but overall I think there was a good mix of products here. I'm a Sephora VIB so I'm always looking for new products to try and buy from there.

May Birchbox Review

I changed up my Birchbox profile a little bit this month and I was glad I did, because I immediately got some samples that were perfect for me!

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love!

Overall, this was a pretty good box. It still didn't 100% blow me away, but I liked pretty much everything. The theme was centered around outdoor activities, so everyone got an SPF product, which is the only product I didn't really care for (but more on that later).

The boxes were really cute this month. I know I've said it before, but I'm so glad they do these fun designs now instead of the old brown boxes they used to have every month.

  • Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel for Body - I chose this as my sample choice because I've used the Real Chemistry face peel before and I really like it. It's specially formulated to work on troubled skin, and I've had an outbreak of eczema on both of my arms that I can't get rid of. The sample package itself is pretty large but it wasn't really full, but there's enough in there for me to use this three or four times on my arms. I've used it once so far and it did work really well to remove the rough patches of skin!
  • K-los Skincare Triple Threat Detox Masque - This is made with glycolic and hyaluronic acids and it cleanses, nourishes, and exfoliates. It also has cayenne pepper, which is something I've never seen in a mask before. I love using masks and detox ones are great for my needs.
  • Cargo Blush and Bronzer Duo - This is a Birchbox exclusive and has the blush "Catalina" (a matte pink) and bronzer in "Medium" inside. I haven't opened this yet because originally I thought I was going to swap it, but now I think I might keep it since it's convenient for travel.
  • Davroe Colour Repair Shampoo and Conditioner - I was so happy to get these two samples! I got professional highlights a month or two ago and only use color-safe shampoos now because I want to protect the color for as long as I can. I wish the conditioner wasn't in a foil packet, but technically it's a bonus sample, so I guess I can't complain too much. I'm going to save these for my NYC trip next month.
  • Supergoop! Sun Defying Sunscreen Oil with Meadowfoam SPF 50 - I'm not so sure about this. I've never liked any of the Supergoop! products I've gotten from Birchbox because they've always been too heavy on my skin. I like using facial oils, and this odes have a high SPF, but I think I'd rather stick to using moisturizers from other brands that have SPF in them.
Bottom Line: I was happy with my samples this month, especially the Davroe shampoo and conditioner. The Real Chemistry has given me positive results so far, and I'm excited to try the K-los mask, too. This was a pretty decent box for May!

Stitch Fix Review - Fix #3

I ordered my third Stitch Fix after winning a $100 gift card, with the sole purpose of getting an anorak jacket. Plus, Stitch Fix is just fun overall and I love seeing what my stylist picks out for me. This fix was pretty good, and I did end up getting the jacket I wanted, but not without a slight hiccup...

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love (kind of). Post contains referral links.

Oops, I just realized I didn't take a picture of the actual box or anything, but you all probably know what Stitch Fix shipments look like by now. If you don't, check out my first two reviews, I'll link to them at the end of this post.

Stitch Fix costs $20 up front for a styling fee, and you can then use that $20 towards any item you choose to keep. If you don't keep anything, you don't get a refund for the $20. I think this is a pretty fair price for a styling fee, though, and I usually end up keeping at least one item. Shipping is free both ways, too.

But onto my first item! The Yosi Samra Samara Leather Toe Stud Flats ($88 to keep). When you request a Fix you can include notes to your stylist and I requested a pair of strappy black heels and the anorak jacket. Stitch Fix just recently started sending shoes so their inventory is growing, and unfortunately they didn't have anything similar to what I requested. These flats are still really cute and totally my style, and they were very comfortable as well. I ended up sending them back because I already have a lot of black flats and I couldn't justify the price.

You can also link to a Pinterest board for your stylist to peruse, which I highly recommend doing. The more detailed, the better--I always include captions on what I specifically like about each item I pin. I have a ton of pins from Wendy's Look Book, and my stylist, Erika, sent the Kut From The Kloth Connie Distressed Frayed Hem Skinny Jean ($88) because they reminded her of one Wendy's looks. I don't own any ripped jeans and I really liked the wash and design of these, but I didn't love the frayed hem. If they were a regular hem I probably would have kept them. They were super comfortable, too!

Next up is the Papermoon Lauderhill Lace Panel Knit Top ($48). Black is my favorite color to wear and I also love lace, so this was another great pick for me! It fit well and was super soft, but I sent it back because I already have a very similar top.

The Loveappella Zola Asymmetrical Striped Dress ($58) was the only miss for me. When I first took it out of the box I wasn't sure about it, but I figured that I should at least try it on, because you never know. Unfortunately this was just not flattering on me. The asymmetrical design is really fun, but I think this would look better on someone taller (I'm 5'3"). I just looked kind of stumpy in it, so I sent it back.

And, saving the best for last, the Market & Spruce Chaplin Hooded Anorak Cargo Jacket ($88)! I absolutely love this jacket and it is exactly what I wanted. I wrote in my note that I preferred Earth tones, so I was open to receiving tans, greens, or something like that, but I was really hoping for an army green and that's exactly what I got! I didn't even have to pay anything out of pocket for this, since with the $20 styling fee it actually cost $68 to keep, and my gift card was for $100.

I love this jacket so much. Sorry for the crappy quality of the photo above, but I live alone and it's hard for me to take pictures of myself in clothes with my DSLR. This still gives you a good idea of what it looks like and how it fits. I love all the pockets, and the material is warm enough for chillier spring days, but it isn't too thick, either. The hood is also nice and actually stays on my head (I hate when it's windy out and the hood just blows right off).

Now, the only problem I ran into with this jacket was that the front right pocket started to tear only a week or two after I got it. The only thing I used it for was putting my phone in and out of, I didn't even use the button to close it. I was kind of bummed that, for a jacket that retails for $88, it was already ripping. I contacted Stitch Fix and asked if I could exchange it, but I said I understood if I couldn't since I had already worn it out and about. Their customer service was awesome and offered to either give me a full refund for the price of the jacket if I returned it, or a 15% refund to cover the cost of repairs if I felt I could repair it on my own. Unfortunately they didn't have any more in stock, so they couldn't send me a replacement, but I think they would have it if they could have. Anyway, I chose to take the 15% refund and repair it myself. I was surprised that that was even an option, and I was so happy that they went above and beyond to offer it to me!
  • Visit Stitch Fix to fill out your style profile and get your first Fix!
  • Read my reviews for Fix #1 and Fix #2
Bottom Line: This third Stitch Fix was pretty successful, and if I had more money to spend I probably would have kept the flats and the lace t-shirt. I really loved the jeans, I just wish they had a different hem. I'll definitely be ordering another Fix soon!

May Disney Tsum Tsum Review

I love Tsum Tsums! When I heard that Disney was launching a Tsum Tsum subscription I was immediately excited, but I actually didn't subscribe right away because, well, budget. Lame. But I finally caved and decided to try it, at least for a few months, and I figured I could go without some coffee and Chipotle here and there to make up the difference.

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love!

Not familiar with Tsum Tsum? They're stuffed toys from Japan that literally mean "stack stack." At least, that's what the Disney store associate at the Times Square store told me! Anyway, they're super cute and they really do stack on top of each other.

This box costs $24.95 per month, including shipping. I had to pay tax because I live in New York. For those of you who may be thinking, wow, she doesn't have an extra $25 in her budget? It's not that I don't, it's just that I try to limit non-essential purchases. But after a few months I still really wanted to try this subscription so I gave in!

Each box comes with a surprise Small plush and Mini plush. The small size is not that small at all, in my opinion, and is special just for this subscription. The Small is 7.5" in length and the Mini is  3.5" long. I actually prefer this small size over the Medium you can find in stores, which is 11" long.

As you can see, this month featured Alice and her cat, Dinah! I was really hoping for a Zootopia Tsum Tsum, but I don't even know if those exist. Plus, I know the movie came out a while ago so it wouldn't really be timely. Regardless, I just wanted at least one cute animal and I got that with the Dinah Mini.

I'm not a huge fan of the human character Tsum Tsums because they aren't as cute to me. I mean, the face is obviously "cute" in that it has big eyes and kawaii features, but overall I just prefer animal stuffed animals.

Here's Dinah up-close. She actually doesn't quite look like a cat to me, but is still super adorable! I keep one of these Minis at my desk at work to clean off my smart phone. The soft bottom (the stomach area, I guess) is perfect for wiping my screen clean. Right now I have Dumbo at work, but maybe I'll replace him with Dinah.

Subscriptions are currently sold out, but I'll post an update when they go back on sale (usually once a month).

Bottom Line: I'm glad I got to try the Disney Tsum Tsum subscription this month! I'm really excited to see what they send next month. I was planning on only trying one month then cancelling, but I just can't. I'm hooked now!

Birchbox Beauty In Bloom Limited Edition Review

Birchbox always has great limited edition boxes, and I like to let my Birchbox points add up for a few months in anticipation of a box being released that I really want. This year's Beauty in Bloom limited edition box ended up being the one!

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love!

I can't remember exactly when this was released, but it was fairly recently and just in time for Mother's Day. It costs $64 and has a total retail value of $188, per the Birchbox website. It has 11 products inside, but they're not all full-sized.

This only cost me $18.32, thanks to my $40 in Birchbox points and a 25% off coupon (I think it was 25% off, anyway, the point is I got a great discount on this box). The box itself is beautiful and the products are great, but no, I wouldn't spend $64 for this.

When I purchase a limited edition box I make sure that I really am in love with a majority of the products. I saw a few reviews for this one around and I really liked what I saw, so I didn't hesitate too much to order it!

  • Umbra Prisma Tray - This beautiful tray is the main reason I wanted this box! It retails for $15, so it's not like I was getting some unattainable item at a great price in this box, but it's a beautiful tray and I love the design! I like that the bottom has a canvas-like bottom so all of the items you place on it stay in place. I'm using this to display my perfumes, which you can see on my Instagram.
  • Lollia Relax Shea Butter Handcreme - I love hand creams and always like to have one accessible at all times--one in my car, one at my desk at work, one in my bag...you get the idea. I haven't broken the seal on this one so I can't say exactly how it smells, but the info card says it has notes of lavender, Indian amber, and Tahitian vanilla. It sounds wonderful!
  • Smith & Cult The Shining Lip Lacquer in Hi-Speed Sonnet - How gorgeous is the packaging on this?! The color is a pretty pink that would be flattering on all skin tones, I think. The formula is kind of thick, so if you don't like sticky lip glosses this might not be for you, but I like it a lot and I think it feels pretty hydrating.
  • Darphin Intral Toner - This is a gentle, complexion-soothing formula that leaves skin calm and refreshed. Or so the info card says. I'm not quite sure about this one yet; I used it for a week and it seemed to make my skin break out more than usual. I'm not entirely sure if it was the toner's fault, but for now I switched back to using what I'd been using before.
  • Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist - I already had one of these when I got this box, but this spray is wonderful so I'll be saving it for when I run out of my current bottle. It's rose-scented and balances pH levels and refreshes skin. I like having this on hand in the summer to spray on when I start feeling sweaty (yeah, gross, but it happens!).
  • Davines Oi/Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion - I was hoping that this hair oil had heat protection but I don't think that it does. Regardless, it leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth. I've been using this after I style my hair to tame flyaways and any residual frizz.
  • NEST Fragrances Grapefruit Classic Candle - This candle smells so good! It's a small votive and the scent throw isn't very far, but I still love it.
  • Laura Geller Beauty Baked Color True Blush - This is a nice pink tone that I think will work well with my skin. I haven't used it since I already have a ton of blushes to use up, but this one will be put to good use someday.
  • stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara - I wish I hadn't opened and used this because I hate it. It's basically stila's version of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, which I also hate. Both of them are way too clumpy and sticky. I know people swear by formulas like these, but I just have never enjoyed them.
  • Mally Eye-Amplifying Shadow Liner - I'm not sure if every box has the same shade, but mine is a metallic brown. It's more cool-toned so it doesn't look great against my skin tone. Another product I wish I hadn't opened and used, because I could have potentially swapped it.
  • NEST Fragrances Indigo Eau de Parfum - I looooooove this perfume! It's perfect for me. It has Moroccan tea and wild fig and is the perfect balance of sweet and warmth. I want to get a full-sized bottle!
Bottom Line: The mascara and eyeshadow pencil were a bust, but I enjoyed everything else in this box! I think it was an amazing value for $18, but maybe not so much for the full price of $64. But that's why I let my Birchbox points add up, so I can use it on boxes like this one!
