February 2021 Gramma in a Box Review

My February Gramma in a Box was a bit delayed by USPS, not surprising given the storms and other shipping issues going on, so I apologize for this late review!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Gramma in a Box sends all the ingredients you need to complete three cookie and candy crafts. There are enough supplies for 15 to 20 individual treats for the three projects.

Here are their pricing options, where you can save 10 percent with the auto debit option:

  • Monthly: $22.50 per month
  • Three Months: $67.50 every three months
  • Six Months: $135 every six months
  • 12 Months: $270 every 12 months

You can also purchase a single box for $25 with no subscription.

Shipping is included in all price options. Boxes ship on the first of the month and cancellations must be submitted by the 25th of the month to avoid the next month's charges.

The box comes with all of the ingredients individually packaged in shrink wrap or plastic cups. The info card has a list of all the ingredients inside plus anything you need to supply from home (always basic items, as you can see above). The opposite side lists any allergens, too.

The first project was Cupid's Arrows. The projects are always so creative, and these are a perfect example! They involved using melted chocolate to "glue" candy hearts onto pretzel rods so that they looked like little arrows.

The second project was Valentine Candy Cane Hearts. I used the leftover melted chocolate and mixed it with crisped rice cereal, then placed it in the middle of the two candy canes to make a heart shape. These are so cute!

The last craft is always cookies, and the February theme was Valentine Cookies. The cookies are pre-baked and should be decorated within a week of receiving the box so they're at their freshest. The Valentine's shapes were Xs and Os with lips and hearts and pink, white, and red frosting and sprinkles.

Bottom Line: The February Gramma in a Box was cute! I really liked the Cupid's Arrows, and the cookies are always delicious. This box is so fun to share with your loved ones, or to keep all the treats for yourself!

Find Your Happy Place Collection Review

Find Your Happy Place is a new line of affordable bath and body products created to help you find a little peace amidst everyday stress. Their newest line, Wrapped In Your Arms, is what I'm reviewing today.

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

The Find Your Happy Place line is available exclusively at Walmart and available in four scent lines. The others are Lazy Weekends (sweet almond and vanilla), Catching the Sunrise (mango and sparkling citrus), and Under the Starlit Sky (chamomile and sandalwood).

The inspiration from the lines comes from real customers, and Wrapped in Your Arms was inspired by Sally from Vermont, who said her happy place is "My best friend, my rock. Wherever we are, whatever we're doing, the moment is always special because we are together."

All of the products are paraben- and sulfate-free and have a blend of shea butter, cocoa butter, and vitamin E.

The Bath and Shower Gel comes in a 12 fl oz bottle and lathers well and can also be used as bubble bath. The blush rose and magnolia scent is gentle and a good blend of sweet and floral. Usually rose scents are too strong for me and cause my to sneeze, but this one is delicate enough that it's soothing and not overwhelming.

The Hand Cream is the perfect size for on-the-go, with 1 fl oz. The formula is a bit thicker and great for dry hands.

The Fizzing Bath Bomb has a pretty rose design. As the name says, it's a fizzing bomb, so it dissolved pretty quickly. It has a blend of bath salts mixed in, so you're left with soothing and pleasantly scented bath water once this is done dissolving.

I like that the Find Your Happy Place line makes bath and body affordable for everyone. There are also body lotions, scented candles, whipped scrubs, and hand washes in each scent family.

  • Visit Walmart in stores and online to purchase

Bottom Line: The Find Your Happy Place products are an easy way to take some time for yourself during these stressful times. The Wrapped in Your Arms line is great for anytime you need to treat yourself to a bouquet of warmth.

The Wine Party Co. Winter 2021 Review

The Wine Party Co. is a curated subscription that sends the best organic wines to your door every month!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

The Wine Party Co. hand-picks organic wines from small producers and teaches customers about the every day enjoyment of wine. They want to make wine approachable to all. They offer the monthly wine club, sommelier consultations, wine classes, and curated tasting packs!

The Wine Party Co. subscription currently ships to 38 states, excluding AK, AL, HI, IL, KY, MS, ND, NH, SD, UT, VT, and WA.

This review includes one bottle from the Winter 2021 selections; however, you'll receive four bottles each month when you subscribe. The box also includes an experience guide with stories from the winemakers, pairing and serving suggestions, tasting notes, and more.

Subscriptions cost $129 per month for four bottles, or about $7 per glass each month. You can also purchase individual wine packs as a one-time purchase (not a renewing subscription) from $150 to $180.

The Wine Party Co. also offers a Wine Connoisseur Course for $99 where you'll learn how to more confidently choose and enjoy wine through six chapters of video lessons that you can view at your own pace (3.1 hours of content), worksheets, and tasting challenges. They also offer a Conversation With Your Sommelier for $20 where you can spend 30 minutes one-on-one with Founder and Sommellier, Ronda Fraley and ask any questions you have about wine!

I received a bottle of Les Hérétiques from winery Pays d'Hérault. It's described as "jammy and bold" and is from the greater Langeudoc region of Southern France.

I know almost nothing about wine and I rarely drink it, so the experience guide was very helpful. I liked learning more about the wines and the food pairings, and the back of the booklet also included space for you to add your own notes about each selection.

This wine has aromas of cooked blackberries, plums, and cherries complemented by notes of black pepper, chocolate, vanilla, and a hint of Earth. I think that description sounds delicious!

Please forgive my completely inexperienced description, but I think this wine has a tart, crisp blueberry and plum taste up front that melts into a sweeter, warmer note at the end (the chocolate and vanilla). I think it's very good!

Bottom Line: The Wine Party Co.'s Wine Club is a great way to keep your wine collection stocked with high quality organic wines. It's easy to try wines from all over from the comfort of your home, and the company provides several other services to help you learn how to appreciate wine.

Miami Beach Bum Signature Bum + Body Cream Review and Coupon

If you're searching for a little bit of an escape during these winter months, Miami Beach Bum has vegan skincare that can whisk you away to someplace tropical, at least in your imagination!

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review. Post contains affiliate links.

Miami Beach Bum was created by Ayssa, a marine scientist who created plant-based products after developing folliculitis from wet bathing suits. The first product was the signature Bum + Body Cream.

Miami Beach Bum is a women-owned and operated business that uses quality plant ingredients in their vegan and cruelty-free skincare. They use circular supply chains to minimize environmental impact and all of their products are made in the USA using fair labor practices. They also give back to 501(c)(3) charity Operation Liberation!

I received the Bum + Body Cream in the Lemongrass scent. It's a daily moisturizer with a base of aloe and jojoba combined with oregano to balance skin's microbiome. It provides your skin with a full reset and alleviates skin irritations. It works great for dryness and dullness, folliculitis, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and Keratosis pilaris, and more.

I have mild eczema on the back of my hands that worsens in the dry winter months and this thick cream felt so soothing on those trouble spots! The lemongrass scent is very strong and herbal. The cream is also available in Mint and Orange.

A little goes a along way here and the formula is thick but absorbed quickly into my skin. I used it all over after showering and it made my skin feel soft and left it smelling great! Normally I would gravitate towards something warmer smelling (vanilla, cinnamon, etc) for the winter, but the bright lemongrass scent was a nice change of pace and reminded me of warmer weather.

Bottom Line: Miami Beach Bum has a great line of products and their Bum + Body Cream is a great daily moisturizer for all over. I really enjoyed using this and am happy with the results it provided for my eczema.

Valentine's Gift Guide: Ida Body Care

Ida Body Care was created by a mother and daughter team in honor of their mother and grandmother. Their products are cruelty-free and vegan and from an all-woman team.

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Owners Vicki and Nicole created Ida Body Care in honor of Ida, who did everything from repair airplanes during WWII to traveling the world solo multiple times. They use her own formula of natural ingredients and essential oils to create products for fatigued skin.

The Four Steps treatment is the basis of the Ida Body Care line. Ida created this treatment to help revitalize your skin. While all will work well on their own, combining them provides the best results.

The set is available in four ounce and eight ounce options and comes with a Dry Brush, Body Wash, Sugar Scrub, and Body Lotion. The products are scented with Verbena Citrus, which has a zesty lemon and herbal profile. The scent is bright and energizing and smells great in the shower, but the essential oils will dissipate so that you can still wear your favorite fragrance after using the products.

The Dry Brush is the first step in the routine and it helps tighten and tone your skin. The name is self-explanatory: the brush should never be wet. The bristles gently exfoliate the skin, deep clean the pores, and stimulate capillaries to improve circulation. It's best to shower or bathe after using.

The brush felt a little strange at first since I had never dry brushed before but I've heard great things about the benefits. Exfoliation is especially important during the dry winter months. The brush felt like a mini-massage.

The Body Wash comes next. It's a creamy formula made with 13 natural and essential oils, including jojoba oil, argan kernel oil, and sweet almond oil. It lathered up well with my loofah sponge and the verbena citrus scent was so invigorating!

The Body Lotion is actually the last step in the routine, but I included it in the photo with the body wash for aesthetic purposes. This has 18 natural and essential oils, including coconut oil, Shea butter, and sunflower seed oil. The formula is smooth and silky and absorbed quickly into my skin.

The Sugar Scrub is meant to be used third in the routine, after the body wash. It was Ida's secret step to maximize hydration and is made with natural sugar and 12 essential oils, including anti-aging avocado oil, Evening Primrose oil, and apricot kernel oil. Apply it in gentle circular motions and rinse.

I love this scrub! I've used body scrubs with larger exfoliants that were too harsh but this one has a great balance of nourishing oils and sugar crystals. After rinsing, my skin still felt hydrated from all of the essential oils.

Bottom Line: The Ida Body Care Four Step set would make an excellent Valentine's Day gift for your partner or for yourself! All four products made me feel like I had a spa day at home, and I loved the refreshing citrus scent during the doldrums of winter.

Heat Holders Outerwear Review

I live in Western New York and it gets cold! We currently have about a foot of snow on the ground and the wind chill often makes the temperatures dip into the single digits (Fahrenheit). Luckily, Heat Holders makes excellent winter wear to keep me cozy in these harsh months.

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Heat Holders has a huge range of products, from socks and gloves to loungewear and blankets. I received three pairs of socks, a pair of gloves, and a hat to try.

The company was founded in 1947 in England. They've since expanded to North America and are based out of Oakville, Ontario, Canada. The current Heat Holders product was created in 2008.

Heat Holders uses Japanese designed acrylic yarn for high performance insulation with advanced moisture management. The innovative looped cushion pile knitting technology boosts the TOG rating, which stands for Thermal Overall Grade (aka, they're really warm!). They original Heat Holders thermal socks are seven times warmer than cotton socks and almost three times warmer than other thermal socks.

The Woman's Hat comes in four colors: black, purple, navy, and light grey. It has a chunky cable-knit design with soft yarn and a ribbed hem. It has HeatWaver thermal lining with fur-like insulation lining. It is so soft and feels amazing!

The Women's Gloves are a matching design to the hat and available in nine different colors. I absolutely love these gloves. They're thick and keep the snow from soaking through my fingers while brushing the snow off of my car. The insulation is the same softness as the hat and feels amazing.

I have poor circulation and my feet are always cold, so I'm always on the lookout for warm socks. I've tried several brands of thermal and insulated socks, but they either made my feet sweat too much or didn't keep them warm enough.

These Heat Holders socks are perfect! They're available for men and women and come in a variety of patterns, lengths, and styles. I received a pair of the ULTRA LITE (black), Fairisle LITE (pink), and Women's Original (purple).

I'm obsessed with these socks! All three have soft interior lining, and the ULTRA LITE have a thinner but just as effective thickness for use with heavy winter boots. I wear these socks during the day while at my desk and they really do keep my feet warm for the full eight hours of my shift.

Bottom Line: Anyone looking for a way to stay warm and cozy during winter should check out Heat Holders! They have a great range of products and something for everyone. I want to get one of their blankets next.
