It's a pretty well-known fact that drinking tea can have a bunch of health benefits. Kiss Me Organics's Dandelion Root Tea is made with cinnamon and hibiscus and it specifically helps with digestion and liver and kidney detoxification. It's also USDA-certified organic.
This raw, organic tea is rich in nutrients and provides more vital minerals and vitamins to your body than roasted dandelion root. Dandelion root itself is rich in vitamins A, C, D, and B-complex, as well as iron, potassium, and zinc. All of these vitamins and minerals can aid with mood and liver disorders, as well as strengthen your immune system.
The hibiscus and cinnamon enhance the tea's earthy flavor, but they have their own health benefits as well. Hibiscus has been shown to help regulate blood pressure and cinnamon has been shown to do the same and reduce bad cholesterol.
One box of tea comes with 20 individually-wrapped teabags, and each bag contains two grams of naturally caffeine-free organic dandelion root tea. There are no instructions on the packaging that state how long to steep this, but I usually let herbal teas steep for at least five minutes.
The first thing I noticed when I opened up a bag of this tea was the delicious cinnamon scent! I love cinnamon and was glad that it was an ingredient in they included. I can't really smell the hibiscus, but then again I don't really know what hibiscus smells like, so my nose naturally picked up on the cinnamon notes.
I found that five minutes was a good amount of time to steep the tea. The flavor is certainly earthy, so it might take a little time to get used to if you usually drink sweeter teas. I liked the balance of the cinnamon and hibiscus flavors; they kept it from tasting overwhelmingly earthy. I can definitely see myself adding this tea to my nightly routine! It's aromatic and soothing, and I love all of the benefits that the dandelion root has.
