September EsianMall Snack Box Review

EsianMall offers boxes to satisfy your inner geek! They offer gamers, geeks, and anime fans the best snack and beauty products from Asia.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review. Post contains affiliate links.

EsianMall has a beauty box and a snack box; this is a review for the snack box. The boxes feature different boxes each month with bonus geeky items like apparel, figurines, and accessories.

Boxes start t $14.95 per month with free shipping to the U.S. Boxes do ship worldwide, but the free shipping option is only for U.S. addresses. When you first sign up you'll fill out a survey where you can indicate your snack preferences. You can also skip this part if you have no preferences for what your box contains.

Here are the box sizes and pricing options:
  • Mini (5-6 items): $14.95 per month, $14.45 per month for three months, or $13.95 per month for six months
  • Medium (8-10 items): $29.95 per month, $28.95 per month for three months, or $28.45 per month for six months
  • Deluxe (12-14 items with 1-2 geek merch items): $40.95 per month, 39.95 per month for three months, or $39.45 per month for six months

I received the Deluxe Snack Box to review. There were lots of fun treats inside plus one geeky item.

There was no info card included in the box so I'll do my best to name the items inside.
  • Pretz - These were basically savory Pocky. I think they were pizza flavored. They were nice and crunchy and had a good flavor.
  • Shrimp Chips - I know these are very popular, especially in the Philippines, but I am not a fan of seafood so I'll pass these along to someone else.
  • Oreo Soft Cookie - I haven't tried this yet but I think the name is pretty self-explanatory.
  • Nongshim Chapagetti - I really like Nongshim's soups but this one didn't quite do it for me. It didn't have enough flavor. I added some seasonings to it but it still was a little bit flat.
The other three snacks do not have English labels so I'm not 100% sure what they are. The package on the bottom has crackers/cookies in it, and the red package is a small, hard biscuit. My best guess for the top right is that it's maybe a seaweed or seasoning packet?

  • Oreo Soft Cookie - I guess I forgot I took a picture of these in the first photo, but the box contained two of these.
  • Senbei - I'm pretty sure the crackers on the left are senbei, or rice crakers.
  • Shittori Cookie - The two packages in blue were soft little cookies with small chocolate chips.
  • Lotte - The small pink package is a chewy candy with fruit flavor.
  • Red package - Again, these were in the photo above and I'm not quite sure what they are called.
  • Harley Quinn Umbrella - The geeky item this month is a Harley Quinn umbrella. I'm not a huge fan of the character but I know she's really popular among the DC/Batman fandom, so I'm sure this will be a fun item for a lot of subscribers.

Here's a better look at the umbrella.
Bottom Line: The EsianMall snack box had a lot of fun snacks to try; I just wish they included an info card describing everything. The geek item was also nice and unique. I think combining snacks with geek/gamer items is an interesting theme for a subscription box.
