November Sips By Review and Giveaway

Sips By is a new tea subscription that sends a customized box of delicious teas each month. They pair the selections to your flavor preferences and lifestyle for one great box!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Sips By sends four teas for 15+ cups or 45+ re-steeped cups for $15 per month with free shipping to the U.S. They're based in Austin, Texas and their goal is to make tea discovery fun and accessible for everyone.

You'll fill out a preferences survey when you first create an account, where you can tell Sips By why you drink tea, whether you want flavored or unflavored, and what flavors you like (berry, spicy, citrus, etc.). You can also change your survey whenever you want to get different types of teas.

I love the packaging of the teas! Sips By works with great brands, like CogniTea, EcoTeas, TeaPigs, and many more. My first box had two brands I knew and two I didn't, but all of the flavors were ones I hadn't tried before so I was excited to dig in. Here's what I got:
  • Chai Latte Black Tea by Pinky Up
  • Turmeric Mango by Rishi
  • Sakhira Estate Nepal Black Tea by Yatra Tea Company
  • Goji Berry by Harney & Sons

All of the teas I got were loose leaf; I'm not sure if every tea is this way, but in case you don't have your own infuser Sips By sends drawstring bags you can use.

The Chai Latte Black Tea by Pinky Up has a high caffeine content and is made with black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and peppercorn. I love chai and this is a great substitute for my usual morning coffee. You can add milk to make it more of a latte, but I like drinking it black. It has a lovely spicy aroma, too!

The Sakhira Estate Nepal Black Tea by Yatra Tea Company also has high caffeine, as most black teas do, and is made with loose leaf black tea from Nepal. It's named for the Sakhejung Hill Range where the Sakhira Garden was founded in 2000 by a group of small farmers. They focus on making the highest quality black Orthodox teas.

The Goji Berry by Harney & Sons is the first tea I tried from this box and I loved it! It's caffeine-free and smells delicious. It's made with rose hips, hibiscus, apple, orange peel. goji berries, blueberry, and raspberry. Goji berries have been used in Asia as an herbal medicine for centuries. This tea was a great fruity cup that was really well balanced -- sometimes fruit teas are too fruity for me, but this one wasn't overwhelmingly sweet or too strongly flavored.

I'm drinking a cup of the Turmeric Mango by Rishi as I type up this review and it's very good. Mango is my favorite flavor of anything, and this is perfectly balanced with mango and turmeric flavors. It contains mango, turmeric, pineapple, ginger, green tea, jasmine, yuzu peel, natural mango flavor, and essential Kaffir lime oil. All of the ingredients are organic and the tea has a low caffeine content. I love the fruity flavor of this and I know that turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Bottom Line: Sips By sent me a lovely assortment of teas! I enjoyed sampling every single one, and all of them were perfectly suited for my needs and flavor preferences. I love that they send high quality teas at such an affordable price.

  1. I like all sorts of teas, especially savoury and "dessert" teas. Classic teas, for me, always require lemon!
