June Succulents Box Review and Coupon

I do not have a green thumb but I always wish I did, which is why succulents are the perfect plant for me. Succulents Box has really affordable subscriptions (starting at $5!) for all of you plant lovers out there!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Succulents Box was founded in 2015 and offers five monthly subscription plans with more than 200 gorgeous succulent varieties. Their plants are organically grown in California. Satisfaction is guaranteed or you'll get a full refund!

I was most interested to see how the shipping would work, since succulents are pretty hearty but are still plants. Each individual succulent was well protected with bubble wrap and there was no damage once I opened them up.

There are several pricing options available for this box:
  • One succulent per month: $5 per month, $14.25 every three months, $28.50 every six months, or $57 every 12 months
  • Two succulents per month: $10 per month, $28.50 every three months, $57 every six months, or $114 every 12 months
  • Three succulents per month: $15 per month, $42.75 every three months, $85.50 every six months, or $171 every 12 months
  • Four succulents per month: $20 per month, $57 every three months, $114 every six months, or $228 every 12 months
  • One airplant every month: same prices as one succulent per month
Your order will ship within 3-5 days for the first month and future shipments will be charged on the 1st or second of the month. You can skip a month or cancel at any time.

I received the June box with four succulents. The succulents are hand-picked by Succulents Box staff, so you won't have to worry about receiving the same plant twice. Of course, if you want more of one or a different type of plant, you can also purchase them individually in the Succulents Box shop.

Here are the succulents in the June box:
  • Tiger Tooth Aloe Juvenna: This succulent is native to Kenya and has bright green leaves that turn red or brown in the sunlight. It also produces salmon pink or orange flowers.
  • Haworthia ymbiformis Var. Obtusal: This is an innumerable morphological form of the Haworthia cymbiformis plant and is characterized by denser rosettes up to six inches in diameter. It has white to very pale pink flowers with brownish-green veins.
  • Melaco Echeveria: This succulent is a brownish-red rosette with a green center that can grow up to six inches in height. The flowers are bell-shaped and orange in color.
  • Blue Atoll Echeveria: This one is my favorite! It's an evergreen succulent that forms a beautiful rosette packed with fleshy, blue-green leaves. It sends up to eight inch tall stems in the spring that bear small orange and yellow flowers.
The box also comes with a small informational card with care instructions, which I greatly appreciated because I am a plant novice. I transplanted these into a turtle succulent planter I had and wet the soil as instructed. The info card includes the optimal temperatures and watering instructions for the plants.
Bottom Line: Succulents Box sent four gorgeous succulents in the June box! I liked learning about each variety. They look great on my windowsill and I can't believe how affordable the box is.

June Shades Club Review and Coupon

Shades Club is a great way to grow your sunglasses collection! They have high quality shades for men and women in a variety of stylish designs.

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review.

Shades Club sends one pair of sunglasses each month with a microfiber carrying case that doubles as a cleaning cloth. Shipping is free and returns are also free within 30 days.

Here are the pricing options:
  • Monthly: $29 per month
  • Four Months: $112 every four months/$28 per month (one month free)
  • Six Months: $162 every six months/$27 per month (1.5 months free)
  • Yearly: $288 every 12 months/$24 per month (two months free)
You can also purchase past shades on the Shades Club website for $75 per pair.

The women's shades for June are plastic frames with a tortoiseshell pattern. The frames are a bit more on the square side, which I prefer for my face shape. Usually there's an insert with the name of the style, but this month my box did not have one.

These shades are also not branded with the usual Shades Club logo on the arms of the frames and on the lenses. I still really like this design, though. I think it would be pretty flattering on most face shapes.

Bottom Line: Shades Club has sent me some really great sunglasses and I love seeing what style they send each month! All of the shades have been great quality and I think this subscription is an excellent value.

June Daily Goodie Box Review

If you like trying new products, Daily Goodie Box is a great way to learn about new products and brands, entirely for free!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Daily Goodie Box is not a traditional subscription that you can pay for each month, but it is a box full of deluxe samples (and full-sized products sometimes, too). It really is entirely free -- you'll never be asked for any kind of payment information. All you have to do in return is leave a few sentences of feedback about the products after you've tried them.

Boxes aren't guaranteed and are sent based on availability, but you can sign up for an account on the Daily Goodie Box website and interact with them on social media to increase your chances of receiving a box (links at the end of this post). The boxes always have a good variety of products, from snacks to beauty to home goods, and more.

Here's what was inside the June box:
  • 7th Heaven Black Seaweed Peel-Off Mask: 7th Heaven makes great quality masks that are really affordable. This peel-off was great for my oily skin, as it's made for pore detox. I used it on my T-zone and it peeled off easily without a lot of residue and left my skin feeling nice and clean.
  • Treeline Coffee Roasters The GEO: This is a pour-over coffee single made from hand-picked, carefully sourced coffee. It has paper arms on the side of the filter that you place around your cup, and then just pour hot water over and let it brew. These would be great for travel and I'll definitely be picking up more! It had a nice strong flavor.
  • Protini Smart Pressed Juice Vegan Vanilla Proteini: I'm usually not a fan of plant-based proteins, but this one had a really good taste. It's made with USDA organic ingredients and is vegan with 16 grams of protein.
  •  CURAD Soothe and Cool Bandages: I luckily haven't had any cuts or scrapes so I haven't tried these yet, but I like that it cools on contact. Seems like they'd be great to cover up mosquito bites, too.
  • The Grandpa Soap Co Apple Cider Vinegar Body Wash: This is made with organic apple cider vinegar and organic apple juice. It has a great apple scent that isn't vinegar-y.
  • Auromere Ayurvedis Herbal Toothpaste: I've used some Auromere products in the past and they're great. This toothpaste is made with organic neem and is non-foaming with a mint flavor. It's also vegan, cruelty-free, and made with 20 additional ayurvedic herbs.
  •  Prince & Spring Fruitmojis: These fruit snacks are made without artificial colors, flavors, or high fructose corn syrup. The shapes are different emojis and they had nice juicy flavor.
  • Snackless Date and Hazelnut Bar: These bars are non-GMO, vegan, low sodium, and have no added sugar. I have to say it wasn't my favorite, mostly because I don't love dates, but it's a great option if you're looking for a clean eating snack.
Bottom Line: The June Daily Goodie Box had a great assortment of products. I always have fun discovering the new items, and my favorites this month were the Treeline GEO coffee and the 7th Heaven mask.

June Adrian's VIP Gift Box Review

The Adrian's VIP Gift Box is a fairly new subscription, but it comes from a brick-and-mortar boutique that has been in business for 36 years! I received their June box to review and am excited to share it, and all of their other box options, with you.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Adrian's VIP Gift Box is from Adrian's Boutique, which has shops in Buhler and Wichita, Kansas. They're an award-winning midwest shop that features clothing, jewelry, gifts, gourmet, and holiday items. They've been recognized for outstanding customer service and voted Best Boutique and Favorite Gift Shop several times over the years. They were also the Reno County Small Business of the Year in 2016!

The Adrian's VIP Gift Box is available as a one-time purchase for $42 per box or as a subscription for $35 per month (three month minimum required). The one-time purchase has the same items as the subscription. Adrian's VIP Gift Box also designs custom boxes for your clients, whether you need 10 or 100 of them!

Each box is filled with $50 to $60+ in hand chosen themed products. Boxes ship between the 5th and 10th of each month and they also have in-store pick up available if you're in the Buhler or Wichita area.

The June box had a "Stand Tall, Be Sweet" pineapple theme and had lots of fun items inside. There was no card with a list of all of the items, so I'll do my best to describe them.
  • It's Summer Time Tote: This tote is adorable and has a great pineapple design. It's made of canvas and is eco-friendly. I have tons of totes and I will always take more, because I'm trying to go completely plastic bag-free.
  • Pineapple Love Pearl Necklace: This has a real pearl inside and the charm is a cute little silver pineapple.
  • Pineapple Quick Smoothie Mix: This mix has pineapple and dried milk inside and called for added pineapple and water. I make fruit smoothies for breakfast every morning so I gave this one a try; it was a bit too sweet for me but still tasted really good. I think it'd be great as a mixer for a daiquiri or margarita, maybe!

Here's a look at the Pineapple Love Pearl Necklace instructions.

  • Mani/Pedi Set: This is a cute little tool set in a flip flop design package. It has nail clippers, scissors, a nail file, and a cuticle tool.
  • Pineapple Pecan Cheesespread Mix: I haven't made this mix yet but it sounds so good! It's combined with sour cream, cream cheese, and crushed pineapple. Sounds like the perfect mix of savory and sweet.
  • BR Lip Glow Kissing Fruit Gloss: This is, naturally, pineapple scented and is a super glossy lip shine. It reminds me of the products I used as a pre-teen and I think would be best suited for that age range, but it's still a fun item to play around with (and smells great!).
  • Numb Skull Ice Towel: I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of the summer heat and humidity, so this towel will come in handy. It has a fun beachy themed design and is water-activated for cooling. Just place it around your neck to help cool off during the heat.
  • Touch of Summer Shimmer Makeup Palette: I am obsessed with this palette! All of the colors are gorgeous and the color payoff is excellent (swatches below).

These aren't all of the shades obviously, but it gives you a good idea of the color payoff. So gorgeous, especially the shimmers! These colors are perfect for summer looks.

  • Pineapple Tray: I like to keep a little dish like this out near my front door for keys, etc. and this one is a great choice for summer.
  • Armored Wallet: I love this wallet. I'm very minimalist when it comes to carrying things, so a small wallet like this is perfect. It's RFID protected, meaning your cards won't be susceptible to people trying to scan them for your information. I'll use this every day, but it's also great for travel.
  • bspa by bon vital Sugar Scrub in Pink Grapefruit: Summer time means extra exfoliating! This body scrub smells delicious, bright and citrus-y, and has decently sized scrubbing grains.

A look at the interior of the Armored Wallet.
Bottom Line: The June Adrian's VIP Gift Box was a lot of fun to unbox! There is no listed retail value for each of the items, but honestly I feel like everything was definitely worth the $35 box price. The variety was great and I think this box would be a fun gift for yourself or someone you love!

June Book of the Month Review

I re-activated by subscription to Book of the Month back in May but just received my first box in June. I'm excited to get back into the swing of receiving a new book every month!

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! Post contains referral links.

Book of the Month costs $14.99 per month for one book and extra books are only $9.99 each. Shipping is free to U.S. addresses (currently this subscription is only available in the U.S.).

The team at Book of the Month selects five new releases to feature and you'll be able to choose the book you'd like to receive. If you don't like any of the selections you can skip that month. I didn't care for any of the May books, so I decided to skip and save my credits for June.

I had two credits available for June and was incredibly pleased to see repeat author Blake Crouch featured. His book Dark Matter is my favorite book I've read in a while and was also a selection I received from Book of the Month (read that review here).

My selection for June was Recursion by Blake Crouch. The BoTM "Quick Take" reads "the tech bro villain we probably deserve." The synopsis is as follows:
Memory makes reality.

That’s what NYC cop Barry Sutton is learning, as he investigates the devastating phenomenon the media has dubbed False Memory Syndrome—a mysterious affliction that drives its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived.

That’s what neuroscientist Helena Smith believes. It’s why she’s dedicated her life to creating a technology that will let us preserve our most precious memories. If she succeeds, anyone will be able to re-experience a first kiss, the birth of a child, the final moment with a dying parent.

As Barry searches for the truth, he comes face to face with an opponent more terrifying than any disease—a force that attacks not just our minds, but the very fabric of the past. And as its effects begin to unmake the world as we know it, only he and Helena, working together, will stand a chance at defeating it.

But how can they make a stand when reality itself is shifting and crumbling all around them?
I'm so excited to get started on this one, I just have a few pages left on my current book before I dig in!

I had a bonus credit so I also chose Miracle Creek by Angie Kim, which was a selection from April. It's about a thriller about a Korean family and a young, single mother accused of murdering her autistic son. I love thrillers/mysteries, and the added depth of being about a Korean family (I was born in South Korea) made this a must-read for me.
Bottom Line: Book of the Month is a book lovers' dream! In my experience, they do an amazing job of selecting books that appeal to a wide range of interests. Plus, you can't beat the price of $14.99 (plus the ability to skip a month)!

June Gramma in a Box Review and Coupon

The June Gramma in a Box featured Emojis and Minions for a fun summer theme! Keep reading to see what cookie and candy crafts I made this month.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Gramma in a Box sends three cookie and candy projects to share with your loved ones each month. All of the crafts are pretty simple and are great for kids of all ages (and adults, too!).

Here are the pricing options:
  • Monthly: $20 per month
  • Three Months: $55 every three months (save $5)
  • Six Months: $110 every six months (save $10)
  • 12 Months: $220 every 12 months (save $20)
Shipping is free to the U.S. and taxes are included. If you want to cancel, do so by the 25th of the month.

The box includes everything you'll need to do each craft, all packaged neatly in separate containers and shrink wrap. The only supplies you may need to have in your home are a bowl and spoon for mixing.

Each month you'll receive enough supplies to create around 10-15 total snacks.

The first project was Emoji Pops and it involved rolling jumbo marshmallows in melted chocolate and adding cute decorations to create emoji faces.

I really love the combo of the melted chocolate on top of the marshmallows, and the chocolate sprinkles make it even more fun! I love the slight crunch of the chocolate with the gooey marshmallow.

Project two was Minion Bites and it involved using the rest of the melted chocolate to stir in with a rice krispie mix. I love these types of snacks because anything coated in chocolate is going to be good! There were blue sprinkles to top them with, too.

The third project is always pre-baked cookies to decorate. The cookies come shrink-wrapped to protect them, but it's recommended that you complete all crafts within a week of receiving the box in order to maintain freshness. I used some of the eyeball candies to decorate more emojis and Minions.
Bottom Line: The Emojis and Minions theme was unexpected for June but was really cute and creative! As always, I had a lot of fun creating these candy crafts and sharing them with my family.

Suave Hair Care Review

I used to use Suave products all the time in high school but hadn't much thought about them recently. I got to try some of their newer products and am glad I did, because they're really great quality!

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Suave has styling and cleansing products for men and women. I requested products to help add volume and moisture for thick hair and got to try the Control Finishing Hairspray, Sleek Anti-Frizz Smooth and Shine Cream, Volume + Fullness Dry Shampoo, and Rose Oil Infusion Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner.

The Rose Oil Infusion Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner is made with pure rose oil and has a long lasting rose fragrance. It's great for adding weightless, natural body and volume to normal to flat hair. It's also safe for color-treated hair. I have pretty thick hair, but this still provided a decent amount of volume after blowdrying.

The Flexible Control Finishing Hairspray smooths frizz and flyaways and has a humidity-defense complex for a 24 hour crunch-free hold. I don't usually use hairsprays, but I tried this one out to tame down flyaways that I have when I put my hair up. It has a great hold and is nice and lightweight. It also has an amazing scent! It's kind of sweet but woody at the same time, if that makes sense.

The Volume and Fullness Dry Shampoo is my favorite product of the bunch. It has the same great scent as the hairspray and is one of the best dry shampoos I've ever used. It has a very fine mist and doesn't have that chalky texture that some dry shampoos have, which I really like. It did a great job of absorbing oil and adding some volume without weighing down my hair.

The Sleek Anti-Frizz Smooth & Shine Cream has a smooth, lightweight formula that tames flyaways and gives all-day control and shine. It works best when used with the Sleek Shampoo and Sleek Conditioner. I used a dime sized amount, as instructed, before blow drying and it left my hair feeling nice and soft.
  •  Visit Suave to learn more and purchase
Bottom Line: I'm glad I was able to take another look at Suave's styling products, because I was very impressed by how well all of them worked. They're incredibly affordable and available at almost every store you could think of, so be sure to check them out for your haircare needs!
