February Shades Club Review and Coupon

Shades Club sends high quality shades of varying styles for men and women. I've gotten three boxes so far and I've been pleasantly impressed by their shades!

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review.

Shades Club manufactures their products in the same factories as the world's best brands, and each pair is valued at around $100. Many of the shades are polarized, and all are excellent quality. They have four subscription prices:
  • Monthly: $45
  • 4 Months: $112 ($28 per box)
  • 6 Months: $162 ($27 per box)
  • 12 Months: $288 ($24 per box)
All orders ship with free 2-3 day shipping to the U.S. and international shipping prices vary based on the destination.

The February box featured the Yacht Party shades. Each pair will come in a microfiber carrying case that also doubles as a cleaning cloth. I really appreciate the cloth, since I hate when I get smudges on my sunglasses while driving and have nothing adequate to wipe them off on (your shirt just never quite does the trick).

I love the color of the lenses -- they fade from a deep blue to a light gold, just like the gold on the frames. These are another pair of beautiful Shades from Shades Club!

As always, the Shades logo is branded on the arm of the lens. Boxes also come with extra items on occasion, like branded koozies or a sunglass hanging kit. Your first month will include the branded fold up case (see that here).
Bottom Line: I've gotten three pairs of Shades Club shades and all of them have been great. I like that they send all different shapes and sizes, especially since I wouldn't usually try a pair of this shape otherwise. $45 is a great price for such high quality shades!

LaClaire Skincare Review

LaClaire Skincare has been developing skincare solutions for over 20 years. They partner with board-certified dermatologists and pharmacists to formulate unique, science-based products. I tried two of their products and have seen great results!

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

I have oily skin, so the Ultra Clarifying Cleanser was a perfect fit for my skincare needs. The Eye Firming Serum is also a treat for any skin type!

All of LaClaire Skincare's products are made in small batches in Beverly Hills. They work diligently with dermatologists to create products with precise formulations to provide the most effective results.

The Ultra Clarifying Cleanser is made with extra strength salicylic acid and tea tree oil, both of which are excellent ingredients for combating excess oil and acne. I like to have a salicylic acid in my cleanser and I also use a toner with that ingredient and I've noticed a decrease in oiliness, especially along my T-zone, after using this cleanser for about a month. The salicylic acid also works to improve the appearance of blemished skin and can be used on the body as well as the face. The combination of AHA and BHA gives skin a clear complexion and keeps it looking healthy.

My favorite thing about this cleanser is that it's foaming. Just two small pumps are enough to wash my face with and it's really refreshing to use, especially in the morning. It's effective but still gentle on my skin.

The Eye Firming Serum is great for all skin types and ages. It's shown as a dropper bottle on the LaClaire Skincare website, but I received a rollerball tube. The serum contains caffeine and bio-peptides to decrease puffiness and increase collagen production. It also has vitamins C, E, A, and B3 to brighten and protect the under eye are, while Omega 3 oils help hydrate this tender skin.

The rollerball applicator was a little difficult to roll across the thin skin of the under eye area, so I actually popped the top off and just used my finger to apply the serum. A little bit of an inconvenience, but I didn't mind much because this product is wonderful. Just a little goes a long way, and it helped keep my skin looking smooth and less puffy in the mornings.
Bottom Line: I really enjoyed both of the LaClaire Skincare products that I tried and I can see why they've been an industry leader for over 20 years. Both the Ultra Clarifying Cleanser and Eye Firming Serum worked great with my skin, and I'm convinced that all of their products live up to their high quality standards.

Maple Holistics Silk18 Shampoo Review and Coupon

Maple Holistics is a natural and holistic brand that provides premium skincare and beauty products to enhance daily living. I've reviewed a few of their products in the past (read those reviews here) and am excited to share their Silk18 Shampoo with you today!

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

The Silk18 Shampoo is for men and women with all scalp types. It's free from parabens and sulfates and has a rejuvenating blend of 18 amino acids to help fortify hair follicles. It protects from dryness, breakage, damage, split ends, and hair fallout. The gentle formula also cleanses away dandruff, excess oil, and other impurities to leave your scalp feeling fresh but not stripped. This is especially great for those with oily scalps like me, because stripping away too many of the natural oils on the scalp can lead it to produce even more.

The Silk18 Shampoo is also enhanced with jojoba and argan oils to add supreme softness and shine to the hair. The full list of key ingredients is as follows: silk amino acids, botanical keratin, jojoba oil, argan oil, natural vanilla fragrance, and water.

Above is the full ingredients list. The shampoo is also cruelty-free and the bottle is made from recycled packaging. I appreciate that Maple Holistics not only makes excellent, high quality products, but they also are eco-conscious.

This shampoo worked great with my hair! My favorite thing about it is the scent: the natural vanilla is wonderful and it smells just like a piece of vanilla cake to me. Even though it doesn't have sulfates, it lathered up really well and was easy to work through my hair and scalp. After, my hair felt so soft and smooth!
  • Visit Maple Holistics to purchase the Silk18 Shampoo
    • Get 15% off any purchase with coupon code MAPLEFUN
Bottom Line: The Silk18 Shampoo from Maple Holistics is an excellent shampoo for all hair needs! I love the delicious scent and how soft it made my hair feel. It also works to balance the scalp and keep your hair looking its healthiest!

February Gramma in a Box Review and Coupon

Love is in the air for Valentine's Day and inside the February Gramma in a Box! This month's treats included cookies and candies perfect for sharing with your loved ones.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Gramma in a Box was created by Terry after her grandkids moved away. She wanted a way to share baked goodies with them and decided to launch a subscription service so that everyone could do the same!

Each month you'll get supplies and ingredients for thee cookie and candy crafts, with enough to make up to 20 or so treats. There are some basics you'll have to supply yourself, but they're simple items like a spoon or a bowl to mix things in.

Here are the pricing options:
  • Monthly: $20 per month
  • Three Months: $55 every three months (save $5)
  • Six Months: $110 every six months (save $10)
  • 12 Months: $220 every 12 months (save $20)
Shipping is free to the U.S. and taxes are included. If you want to cancel, do so by the 25th of the month.

The February box was appropriately themed for Valentine's Day and had lots of pinks and reds inside. I love how festive the boxes are!

The first craft was Valentine Candy Cane Hearts. I love how creative these crafts are! To make, I melted the included chocolate and then spread it in between two mini candy canes and a stick to make it into a lollypop. There were also lots of sprinkles and conversation hearts to decorate the hearts with.

The second craft was Crispy Valentine Bites and it included the leftover melting chocolate from the first craft. There was a crispy rice cereal included, and I mixed it right in with the chocolate then scooped it into the little candy cups and decorated with more sprinkles and candy hearts. The simple combo of the chocolate and cereal was so good.

The third craft is always cookies. They're pre-baked and shrink wrapped in plastic, but as with all cookies they should be made within a week of receiving your box so they're at their freshest.

There were hearts and circle designs this month with pink, red, and white frosting with related sprinkles. The cookies are always my favorite craft because they're absolutely delicious!
Bottom Line: The February Gramma in a Box was another tasty treat! This box is so fun and is a great way to share some love with your friends and family, whether they live near or far.

February Degusta Box Review and Coupon

February's Degusta Box was perfectly themed for a Super Bowl party. As always, the box was packed with full-sized snacks from a bunch of fun brands!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review. Post contains affiliate links.

Degusta Box sends a box of full-sized foods and pantry items, including things like chips, cookies, dips, sauces, and more. It costs $19.99 per month with free shipping the U.S.

The February box had a great variety of items, but they were definitely geared more towards a party (not complaining!). Here's what was inside:
  • PopCorners Spicy Queso ($3.29) - I love PopCorners! They're light and airy but have lots of flavor. The Spicy Queso was delicious, with a mix of red and black peppercorns.
  • Sourdough Craft Beer Pretzel Rings ($3.29) - I served these along with buffalo chicken dip and they were a hit! They're made with real malted barley and a dash of hops.
  • Just Add Classic Guacamole ($1.19 each) - These packets make it easy to make guacamole in minutes. Just mix with two avocados!
  •  Raindrops Candy Taco ($4.99) - This is so cute and unique! It's filled with Raindrops chewy/gummy candies in taco seasoning shapes.
  • Manitou Trading Company Truffle, Parmesan, and Black Garlic Seasoning ($4.49) - This seasoning is delicious! I love truffle parm flavored things, and this an be put on popcorn, potatoes, meats, or anything else you'd like.
  • Manitou Trading Company Piri Piri Sauce Starter ($2.99) - This sauce has African roots and is popular in Portuguese cooking. The sauce starter can be used as a marinade or in soups, aiolis, or more.
  • Emmy's Organics Coconut Cookies Vanilla Bean ($2.49) - These cookies are vegan, gluten-free, and USDA organic and are made with a combo of smooth vanilla and freshly ground almonds.
  •  PBfit Peanut Butter Powder ($5.99 for 8 oz) - This powder has whole-roasted peanuts that are pressed to perfection and has 90 percent less fat than traditional peanut butter and 1/3 the calories.
  • BeanSmash! ($1.49 each) - These on-the-go dips are packed with protein (at least 10 grams) and are also gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO. Just add water, heat, and you'll have a delicious dip!

Bottom Line: The total approximate retail value for the February Degusta Box is $34.08. Degusta Box always is a great value, since you're getting full-sized foods for much less than what you'd pay for each item individually at the store. My favorites this month were the Manitou Trading Company seasoning and PopCorners chips!

Peter Thomas Roth Green Releaf Therapeutic Sleep Cream Review

I've been looking for a new night cream, and the new Green Releaf Therapeutic Sleep Cream from Peter Thomas Roth turned out to be a great choice!

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review via BrandBacker.

The Green Releaf Therapeutic Sleep Cream is made with hemp-derived cannabis sativa seed oil and powerful green botanicals to create a calming, smoothing moisturizer. It's also great for combating redness and irritation.

This cream is exclusively available at Sephora, both in stores and on their website.

The cream also contains a retinoid complex with two percent retinoid to help smooth the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone while minimizing irritation. If you've never used retinoids before, they're pretty powerful. I made the mistake of not taking my salicylic acid cleanser out of my rotation while using a retinoid for the first time and my skin got really irritated, so make sure to set aside any products with that ingredient when you use this cream.

Other great ingredients in the Green Releaf cream include two percent topical melatonin to help revitalize skin's appearance while you sleep and five percent colloidal oatmeal, which is a skin protectant that helps relieve minor irritation and itching due to rashes, eczema, and other skin conditions.

Taladvance™, Phytessence™ Margosa and Phytessence™ Plantago, green plant extracts that help calm skin's appearance and the look of inflammation and a non-comedogenic Vitamin E blend with shea butter and sunflower, hazelnut, grape seed, and baobab seed oils help nourish skin with antioxidant benefits.

So there's a lot going on with this cream, but does it work? I've been using it for about two weeks and I have noticed a slight change in the redness in my cheeks area. The cream itself is a gel-like texture that's very smooth and glides onto the skin smoothly and absorbs quickly. My only complaint is that it smells a bit funky -- kind of like seaweed. The fragrance only lasts for a few seconds though, so if you can tolerate it for a short time it's well worth the benefits.
  • Visit Sephora to purchase the Peter Thomas Roth Green Releaf Therapeutic Sleep Cream
Bottom Line: The Peter Thomas Roth Green Releaf Therapeutic Sleep Cream is a great option for calming and soothing skin while you sleep! I like that it's packed with ingredients like topical melatonin and colloidal oatmeal to soothe redness and irritation. It also has retinoids to smooth skin and keep it looking young. If you're looking for a powerful but gentle night cream, definitely check this one out!

Winter Walmart Beauty Box Review

I decided to sign up for the Walmart Beauty Box because it's only $5 and it's fun to get a little box of samples once in a while. Their Winter Box is themed "Hydration Heroes."

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love!

The Walmart Beauty Box is sent out quarterly and the way they market it is that it's a free box but you pay $5 for shipping. So basically, the box costs $5. But I think that's a pretty reasonable price for a box of samples once every three months.

The box contains samples of products that can be bought at Walmart, and each season will have a different theme. Winter's box is aptly themed for cold, dry weather.

The box contained four foil packet samples, a full-sized sheet mask, a tube of moisturizer, and a ouch to carry everything in. These boxes often contain foil packets, so if you're not into receiving those types of samples, this box may not be for you. But again, it's only $5 every three months, so I still think that's fair. Here's everything that was inside:
  • Olay Daily Facials Hydrating Cleansing Cloths - This is a dry cloth that foams up with cleanser when you add water. It's perfect for on-the-go and removed all of my makeup easily.
  • Garnier SkinActive Soothing Moisturizing Mask - I couldn't find this Rose Water version of the mask on the Walmart website (so I linked to a similar one), but it's a super hydrating cream that can be used as a daily moisturizer, night cream, or a wash-off mask.
  • Garnier Damage Repairing Treat 1 Minute Hair Mask - This hair mask has 98% naturally-derived ingredients and hydrates and repairs hair damage in just one minute. This was included in a previous Beauty Box, but I don't mind receiving another because it's a good product.
  • Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer - This lotion is meant to be used in the shower on damp skin. I've never used something like this before, but it was pretty effective. Just apply while skin is still damp and then pat dry with a towel as usual.
  • Cetaphil Hydrating Gel Eye Cream - I wasn't aware that Cetaphil made eye creams, but this one is great! I love the gel formula; it's cooling to the touch and applies smoothly. It also has hyaluronic acid for extra moisture.
  • SooAe Unicorn Glow Hologram Mask - SooAe masks are great, and this was the first hologram one I've tried. I wasn't sure what "hologram" meant, but basically it's just a shiny mask and the hologram part doesn't really add any benefits to your skin, it just looks cool. That being said, the serum was very moisturizing and this is a great mask for the price.
Bottom Line: I really enjoy the Walmart Beauty Box! I think it's a fun box and affordable at only $5 for shipping. The Winter theme was perfect, and I liked trying the Cetaphil and SooAe mask the most.
