Perfectly Posh Giveaway!

Back in January I became a Perfectly Posh consultant. My sister-in-law started selling it the month prior and when I tried some of the products I was instantly hooked! Posh is a pampering company with a huge line of products that are all affordable and that really work.

To me, Posh is fun. I was already obsessed with hand cremes, lotions, body scrubs, face masks, and all that Posh has to offer before I found out about them, but the fact that everything is so colorful didn't hurt, either!

First, a little intro to the company: everything is cruelty-free, made in the U.S.A., and every product is $25 or under! The line includes a huge array of products for all skin types and needs. I've been using the skincare for about two months now and my skin is already in better shape. I've gotten tons of compliments since I started using Posh about how good my skin looks, no lie!

I have a bunch of favorite products and I wanted to share some of them with you. The photo above is only some of the inventory I've purchased. As a consultant I do buy a little bit more than I normally would in order to make samples for people and to host parties, but the fact that everything is so affordable makes it easy to treat myself to a lot of what I want.

The product that got me hooked on Posh is the Big Fat Yummy Hand Creme (BFYHC). My hands are always super dry, especially in the winter, and I loved that this didn't feel greasy and absorbed into my skin for long-lasting relief. Plus, the scents and their names are really fun, too! Pictured above is one of my favorite scents, Lil Snarky. It's "exotic flowers and sandalwood," which honestly is not something I would have chosen based on the name alone, but when I smelled it I loved it instantly. To me it doesn't smell overly floral at all, but more like a slightly sweet and spicy combo.

All of the BFYHCs are made with apricot kernel oil, coconut oil, vitamin E, and aloe to renew tired, dry hands. There are 14 different scents available right now, ranging from $5-$9 for 3 oz.

Up next is my favorite mask: Cackle Spackle! When people ask me what they should try first I always recommend this. It's a detoxifying mask with charcoal powder, kaolin clay, volcanic ash, and spearmint that draws impurities out of your skin. It's perfect for oily/acne prone skin but is appropriate for all skin types, except for those that are extremely sensitive. I have oily skin and this has been a new Holy Grail product for me! As it dries you can truly see the oil and impurities being drawn out of your skin because it leaves darker patches on your pores where it's drawing that stuff out. Then all you have to do is rinse it away! My skin feels so soft and fresh after using it.

This costs $19 for 2 oz. In comparison, the GlamGlow SUPERMUD mask costs $69 for the same amount of product. I've used both and I can confidently say that Cackle Spackle works just as well, if not better!

Next up we have the Perk! Skin Stick. Skin Sticks, as you can see, look like giant lip balms. We have 10 different ones available in this size, plus two giant ones and one for men (view them all here). Perk! is one I always have on hand because it's great for headaches. It's a shea butter base loaded with peppermint oil that helps relieve tension. When I feel a headache coming on I love to apply this to my temples. It immediately gives me a cooling sensation that really does help keep headaches at bay. It's obviously not medicine so we're not claiming it cures anything, but I find it to be helpful at soothing my headaches.

The Impish Eyes De-Puffing Eye Serum is a customer favorite and it's recently back in stock after being sold out for a few months. It has caffeine, cucumber, white tea, and CoQ10 (a naturally-occurring enzyme with antioxidant properties) to help reduce undereye puffiness. Everyone I know who has tried this has raved about it! I don't have problems with puffiness but I do love using this as an eye serum regardless. The metal ball applicator is cooling to the skin and provides a nice little massage on your delicate undereye skin during application.

Check out this testimonial image that shows how well Impish Eyes worked for a fellow consultant!

Posh has a few face washes and moisturizers but my favorites are Complexion Perfection and Moisturize 911 (both $19 for 4 fl oz). Complexion Perfection is an exfoliating face wash with walnut shells, peppermint oil, and aloe. It's a very gentle exfoliation that is fine for me for daily use. It's sulfate free and appropriate for all skin types. I love how invigorated my skin feels after using this, which I believe is due to the peppermint oil.

Moisturize 911 has glycerin and caffeine in it to tighten and brighten skin. I love how lightweight and smooth this is. The texture is nice and silky and it absorbs into my skin quickly. This is great for all skin types, especially those looking for a little extra tightening boost.

We also have bar soaps! I love bar soaps and I hoard them like crazy, so joining Posh was both a curse and blessing because they have so many delicious smelling soaps. Our soaps are called Chunks ($5-$9 each)and they're huge -- 4" length, 2.5" width, and 1.5" thick (7 oz in weight). There are a bunch of different scents to choose from and bars with different uses. Pictured above is one of the newest scents, Rico Guave. It's made with mango butter and guava extract to hydrate and white ginger and palm oil to wash away dirt and oil. It smells deliciously of guava and white ginger!

Posh also has Snarky Bars ($11-$16) which are even bigger and have exfoliating sugar beads in them to slough away dead skin. My favorite is the Classic Pink Snarky Bar!

Like I said, these are only some of the products Posh has to offer. There are also lip balms, body scrubs, foot care, hair care, body washes, body masks--so much! I've been having so much fun trying everything and I want to share Perfectly Posh with my readers.

I'm giving away three deluxe sample packs and a Happy Dance BFYHC (pictured above)! These are two separate giveaways. The deluxe sample packs are open to all U.S. residents and the BFYHC is for anyone who makes a purchase on my site during the giveaway period. This sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents aged 18+ only, as Posh does not allow for sale outside of the U.S. (sorry, international readers).

FabFitFun Editor's Box Review and $10 Off Coupon!

I've been wanting to try FabFitFun for a while but never really got around to it, mostly because it's a bit pricier than some of the other lifestyle boxes out there. But I decided to finally get the Editor's Box mainly for one item, but everything else in it was wonderful, too!

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! Post contains affiliate links.

FabFitFun is a quarterly box that costs $49.99 per box with free shipping to the contiguous U.S.; shipping is $8 to Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii. You can also sign up for a yearly subscription for $179.99. Each box will contain full-sized items with at least $200 in retail value.

I already knew what was going to be in the box thanks to plenty of reviews and spoiler posts, but I actually prefer to know what's in a box before I buy it. I really loved everything and I feel this was well worth the price! The box contained seven items, along with two bonuses. There were a few different bonus options possible, and I received the Zoya and Anderson Lilley body cream.

I really wanted this box because of the O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face, which retails for $44 by itself. So for only a few dollars more I got that plus eight other great products! Here's what's inside:
  • Modcloth Loch and Key Scarf ($34.99) - This is a huge scarf that's super warm for the winter. February can still be pretty cold here in Rochester so I was happy to get this. I actually prefer to use it as a blanket, it's big enough for it and very warm!
  • The Created Co. To-Go Coffee Mug ($19.00) - I love the simple design on the mug and the black background. It's really well made and the top twists on instead of snapping on which I like much better because I feel like it closes much more securely.
  • FabFitFun Coloring Book and Colored Pencils ($14.00) - There were two options, the Nature and Things book, and I got the Things version. It's a nice adult coloring book with lots of different designs from various artists. I love coloring and I'm so glad that adult coloring books have become so popular!
  • Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain ($24.00) - I've had really good experiences with Manna Kadar products. This gloss is a 3-in-1 primer, lip gloss, and stain. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds pretty nice.
  • Marrakesh Argan & Hemp Hair Oil ($22.99) - I hoard hair oils because my hair gets so dry from heat styling. This one left my hair feeling super soft and smooth and it also smells great.
  • O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face ($44.00) - I first received this in a Box of Style box and I instantly fell in love! I use it on my face and body and nothing works better to remove dead skin. I feel like when I use a scrub it never actually removes dead skin, but this whisks it away with being abrasive the way a scrub can be. I really cannot endorse this product enough!
  • Jook & Nona Tag Necklace ($65.00) - This is such a cute little necklace! I like dainty jewelry; I received the "Love" one. It's simple and appropriate for the office or out-and-about.
  • Anderson Lilley Beach Butter Body Cream ($24.00) - I got the Sicilian Tangerine scent and it smells divine! It's a nice rich body butter that's great for dry winter skin.
  • Zoya Nail Polish ($10.00) - Zoya is my all-time favorite nail polish brand so I'm always happy to get a new bottle in a subscription box! The shade is a nice neutral creme.

Unfortunately this box is no longer available, but if you sign up now you'll get the Spring box. I'm sure that it'll have great items in it, though!

  • Visit FabFitFun to subscribe
    • Use coupon code WOW10 for $10 off your first box

Bottom Line: I loved everything in the FabFitFun Editor's Box! The scarf/blanket is so warm and cozy and the O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face is a huge favorite. This is probably one of the best lifestyle boxes I've every gotten!

February Beauty Box 5 Review

February's Beauty Box 5 was perfectly themed for Valentine's Day. Normally I love the variety of products in each month's box, but this one was a little different--but still great!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Beauty Box 5 sends five deluxe samples and full-sized products for only $12. Each box will have at least $35 worth of products, ranging from skincare to hair care to color cosmetics, and more! Shipping is free to the U.S. and $3 to Canada.

When I opened the box I was eager to see what was inside, and I quickly realized that everything was a lip product. I thought that was weird, especially since BB5 usually sends a good amount of different products. But then I read the info card and realized it was on purpose to fit the "The Kiss Kit" theme.

  • Jean Pierre Cosmetics Pink Moisturizing Lip Mask ($1.00 for one mask) - This lip mask has collagen, vitamins, and minerals to repair dry lips. I've used lip masks like this before and they feel nice and soothing.
  • Tint Beauty Unicorn Lippie ($9.00 for .18 oz, full-sized) - I love the name of this! I received the shade "Make Believe," which is a light pink creme (see photos below). This is a brand new product from Tint and is an ultra-pigmented matte liquid lipstick.
  • Tint Beauty Unicorn Liner ($7.00, full-sized) - I also received this in "Make Believe," which I'm not sure was on purpose or coincidence, but I'm glad I got the shade to match the Unicorn Lippie.
  • So Susan Color Hybrid ($17.50 for .34 fl oz, full-sized) - This is a beautiful red shade named Marsala with a velvety smooth texture. It's a cream-mousse formula that's great for all skin tones. It's also cruelty-free and made with organic Sacha Inchi oil to soothe lips.
  • Style Essentials Lip Glow ($4.00 for .09 oz, full-sized) - I got the shade "Rose," which is a very light pink shimmer. It also smells really great, sweet and slightly floral. It's a balm lip crayon with a moisturizing finish.
Style Essentials Lip Glow

Tint Beauty Unicorn Lippie and Liner
Bottom Line: Even though all of the products were lip products this month I'm excited to try everything out. There's a good representation of different shades and types of lip products. I especially like the Unicorn Lippie and Liner!

True Natural Benecos Cosmetics Review

Benecos is Germany's best-selling natural makeup line and they've teamed up with True Natural to be their official North American representative. I've received Benecos products from natural beauty boxes in the past and I've always been a fan of their makeup, and I'm excited to share more of it with you today!

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Benecos is a pure and plant-based cosmetics line that's PETA-certified as cruelty-free and offers many vegan products. They've won awards from OekoTest, Natural Solutions Beauty with a Conscience, and Yoga Journal for their mineral-based products.

I find that sometimes people are hesitant to switch to natural makeup because they don't feel the products will be effective. I can confidently say that you won't have that problem with Benecos, at least with the products I've tried, because all of them were highly pigmented and had great staying power! I received the Natural Eyeshadow, Natural Lipstick, and Natural Light Fluid Foundation to try.

The Natural Lipstick in First Love is a pretty light mauve/pink creme. It's made with vitamin E, organic castor seed, and organic avocado oil for deep moisture and organic babassu oil to help protect the delicate skin on your lips. Vitamin C also provides antioxidant protection.

I found the formula to be nice and creamy and it easily glided onto my lips. Unfortunately the shade was a bit too light for my complexion (see swatches below), but I would definitely purchase another tube of this lipstick in a different shade!

The Natural Eyeshadow in So What? is the perfect shade for me; I love browns and golds! This is a a nice gold/brown (copper?) shimmer that worked great as a base shade for me. It has just enough shimmer in it to add a nice highlight, but it isn't overly-glittery or distracting. It's made with organic macadamia nut oil and organic castor oil to create a soft, velvety texture and the pigments are made from natural minerals.

I used this with my regular eyeshadow primer and it lasted a full eight-hour work day. I like that the shade is appropriate for the office but can be easily transitioned to night by adding a few complimentary shades for a more daring look! It applied nicely with my eyeshadow brushes but did require two coats to achieve the level of pigmentation I wanted.

Natural Lipstick in First Love, Natural Eyeshadow in So What?, and Natural Light Fluid Foundation in Nude

I also received the Natural Light Fluid Foundation in Nude, but it's not listed on the website. The shades available on the site are Dune, Mocca, and Sahara. Nude, as you can see, was too light for my skin but I still wore it for a day to try it out. Once I applied my setting powder over it my face didn't look too washed out.

The foundation is vegan and has certified organic jojoba, shea butter, and plant extracts to add nourishing moisture without clogging pores. The pigments are made from natural minerals. It's appropriate for all skin types. I have oily skin and this stayed on (with primer) for a full 8 hour work day. It's a very lightweight formula and I only needed one coat, applied with a sponge, for full coverage.
  • Visit Benecos on True Natural to browse their full line of products!
Bottom Line: I really enjoyed all three Benecos products, even though the lipstick and foundation weren't quite the right shades for me. I was impressed by all of their formulas and I think they're an affordable and high quality natural brand that everyone should add to their routine!
