May Scentbird Review and Coupon - Bvlgari Omnia Coral

If you're a perfume lover, subscribing to Scentbird is a great way to grow your collection of scents. It's especially great for people like me who don't feel any type of loyalty to any one perfume and like to try all different kinds.

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! Post contains affiliate links.

Scentbird costs $14.95 per month, and for that price you'll receive a .27 fl oz perfume (about the size of a rollerball) of your choice. Your first shipment will also include a Scentbird purse spray and felt bag; see my first review to see what those look like. They have so many perfumes to choose from, from brands like Gucci to Givenchy and Versace, and all different scent types, too.

This month I chose Omnia Coral by Bvlgari. I had gotten a sample of Omnia Crystalline and I really liked it and I wanted to add it to my queue, but then I was reading the descriptions of all of the perfumes in the Omnia line the Coral one stood out the most.

The Scentbird website describes Omnia Coral as a "radiant, floral-fruity eau de toilette" and I think that's the perfect definition, I'm glad I picked this because it's perfect for spring/summer and is nice and sweet. The only downside is that it doesn't last very long because it's an EDT. I couldn't really smell it on me after about three hours.

Bottom Line: I really like Omnia Coral and I'm glad I got it. I'm also glad I didn't spend a lot more on a full-sized bottle! It truly does smell wonderful, but because it isn't very long-lasting I probably wouldn't purchase a full-sized bottle in the future.

For a limited time you can add a pink purse spray case to your order for only $12.95!

May Love With Food Deluxe Box Review & 50% Off Tasting Box

I was about to put my Love With Food subscription on hold, but then they had a deal for a three-month subscription to the Deluxe Box that I had to snatch up. I really do enjoy this box and I figured twice the snacks for half the price wasn't something I could pass up!

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! Post contains affiliate links.

Love With Food sends only natural and organic snacks and they always include a good variety of salty, sweet, and savory foods. They also donate a meal to a child in need for each Tasting Box purchase and two meals per box for the Deluxe and Gluten-Free options.

The pricing options are as follows and all include free shipping to U.S. addresses:
  • Tasting Box: $10/month, 8+ snacks per month
  • Deluxe Box: $17/month, 16-20 snacks per month
  • Gluten Free Box: $24.50/month, 8-12 snacks per month
May's theme was "Fiesta! Fiesta!" for Cinco de Mayo, and the box was packed with "South of the Border" snacks.

  • goVida Dragon Fruit & Dulce de Leche - These are freeze dried fruits and they were delicious! I ate them on their own, but the info card suggests mixing them in with yogurt. I love dulce de leche and I thought it was a great addition to the dragon fruits.
  • Dick & Jane Baking Company Educational Snacks - I think these were included in a previous box (or maybe it was a different subscription) because I've definitely had them before and I remember not caring for them. These were better than I remembered, though. They're kind of plain but if you're craving a simple cookie they hit the spot. These particular ones had English and Spanish phrases on them.
  • HomeFree Lemon Burst Cookies - I love HomeFree cookies! I was excited to try these because they were a flavor I hadn't tried before. They were perfectly buttery and lemony and I was bummed that there were only three in the package.
  • Schar Penne Pasta - This is a gluten-free pasta. I haven't cooked it up yet, but it's the perfect single-serving size.
  • Bell Plantation PB Thins - These are gluten-free and taste exactly like peanut butter. I actually couldn't finish the package in one sitting because they were so rich, but if you like peanut butter you'll love these!
  • Beanfields Bean & Rice Chips in Pico de Gallo - Beanfields chips have popped up in a few boxes I've received and I'm always happy to see them. The Pico de Gallo flavor is so good and the chips are nice and crunchy.
  • popchips Sea Salt Veggie Chips - I love popchips! This flavor was new to me and I really enjoyed them. They're light and crunchy and also non-GMO verified.
  • Inka Crops Inka Corn in Chile Picante - I haven't tried this yet but I've had similar corn snacks and I think they look really good. They're dressed with sea salt and naturally crisp corn kernels.
  • Smooze! Pink Guava and Coconut Fruit Ice - I used to get frozen ice snacks like these when I was younger and I haven't had one in so long! The flavor sounds delicious. It's made with coconut milk, fresh fruit, and is made without high fructose corn syrup.
  • Montana Mex Sweet Salt Seasoning - This is a pure sea salt mixture that can be used on everything from popcorn to potatoes. I think I'll give it a try on chicken, too.
  • Vintage Bee Hibiscus Creamed Honey - I don't usually use honey, but I might give this a try in tea. It's all natural and made only from raw honey and real hibiscus flowers.
  • Go Organics Candy in Blood Orange and Iced Mango Mint - These flavors are delicious! I love mango and orange. They're gluten-free, dairy-free, and organic.
Bottom Line: I'm impressed by my first Deluxe box and I'm glad I purchased the three-month deal. It has a ton of snacks and is definitely worth it!

May Birchbox Plus Review

I added a Birchbox Plus item to my box for the first time this month. I decided to get one of the Dogeared necklaces because it was just too cute to pass up!

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! Post contains referral links.

I normally don't go for the Birchbox Plus items but I really wanted this Dogeared Elephant necklace. It cost $24 to add on to my box. I don't even know if I'll wear it because the whole point is to make a wish then wait for the string to break, and I don't want it to break and not realize it and then lose the charm!

This month's box was curated by Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere. I (surprisingly) had not heard of her blog prior to receiving this box, but she's quite popular and has some great content!

This was definitely one of the better boxes I've gotten. The past few months were just okay, but May had a good assortment of samples that I'll definitely use.

  • Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment ($9.52 for 1 fl oz) - Wow, I didn't realize how expensive a full-sized bottle of this was ($40 for 4.2 fl oz)! I got the Moisture Oil Spray in a past Birchbox and really liked it so I was glad to see this oil in my box this month. It smells wonderful and my hair feels silky-smooth after using it!
  • Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum ($9.52 for .17 fl oz) - This is another expensive full-sized item ($56 for 1 fl oz), but that's not surprising considering it's a serum and it's from Jurlique. I posted this for swap because I already have a serum I'm happy with, but I do like Jurlique's products.
  • Harvey Prince Sea Salt Texturizing Mist ($.99 for .27 fl oz) - I picked this as my sample choice because I love the way sea salt sprays make my hair look and I'm a fan of Harvey Prince perfumes. This smells wonderful but I think it was too gentle to have any significant hold on my thick hair.
  • Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Palette Sampler in Desert Bloom ($3.99 for four shades) - I just received the Revealed 2 palette in a swap and it is gorgeous; I didn't even realize there was a Revealed 3 out, too. I like the shades in this sampler a lot and will put them to good use.
  • benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream ($7.41 for .3 oz) - I don't purchase benefit products anymore so I won't purchase a full-sized jar of this, but the sample was a decent size (see photo below). The cream is thick and smells like the Ralph Lauren Ralph perfume that everyone used to wear when I was in middle school.

Another picture of the Dogeared necklace
Bottom Line: My Birchbox had a total approximate retail value of $28.43 this month, which is on the higher end for this box and well worth the $10 pricetag. I also got the Dogeared necklace at a $6 discount. Overall I'm very happy with my May box!

ReliefMD Review and Giveaway!

I enjoy working out but I don't enjoy the soreness that sometimes can come after a hardcore lifting session! I also get general soreness sometimes from sleeping on my neck the wrong way or from sitting in a chair too long at work. ReliefMD is a great all-natural product that helps combat soreness using simple, effective ingredients!

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

I've been working on building my upper body strength recently and have been getting some tightness and soreness in my shoulders. It doesn't help that I also type all day at work, so I'm always looking for ways to alleviate the aches and pains associated with working out and sitting at a desk all day.

ReliefMD extracts living nutrients from plants and nuts to deliver a 100% pure formula of botanical oils to feed the body the nutrients it needs. It's great to use for discomfort of the back and neck, swollen joints, sore muscles, muscle strains and sprains, bruises, headaches, mosquito bites, itching, cold sores, burns, insomnia...as you can see, it can help with a lot of ailments!

It's also easy to use. All you have to do is dispense a drop from the stopper opening and swipe it across your upper lip just below the nose and put another drop across your forehead. Then take a few more drops and lightly cover the affected area, making sure not to rub it in. You can use it three times per day or as needed. If you're using it to fight bug bites it's best to apply it as soon after getting the bite as possible.

As you can see from the photo above, ReliefMD only contains natural oils. Here's a breakdown of what they do:
  • Almond: This is used in skincare as an emollient, which means that it helps soften and soothe the skin. It's great for dry skin and for relief of irritation, inflammation, and itching.
  • Eucalyptus: This is a powerful antiseptic that also helps fight nausea and suppress coughs. It stimulates blood flow, which directs more oxygen to the brain and the point of application.
  • Peppermint: This oil has antimicrobial, fungicidal, and bactericidal properties. It's been used as an effective analgesic, tonic, and antispasmodic. When combined with eucalyptus it's a great way to treat headaches and relieve pain.
  • Wintergreen (Methyl Salicylate): This is accepted by the FDA as an over-the-counter external analgesic that's primarily used to relieve mild muscle and joint pain. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is used in topical pain relievers and products that produce a feeling of warmth.
  • Camphor: This is also an antiseptic, analgesic, and antispasmodic. Germany has approved camphor for the external treatment of rheumatism. When applied to the skin it promotes circulation and relieves itching.
  • Spearmint: This is generally used for its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties. In skincare it's used as an antibacterial and antifungal.
  • Olive: Olive oil is great for nourishing and moisturizing the skin.
I've been using ReliefMD to treat my sore shoulders and I have to say that I think it's really effective! It didn't give me that instant, strong cooling sensation that some more common over-the-counter pain relief creams have, but that doesn't mean it wasn't working. I applied it before bed and woke up feeling a lot less sore. Pete also used it on his calves after a run and said he felt that it worked really well.
Bottom Line: ReliefMD is a great way to naturally soothe sore muscles, as well as treat a myriad of other conditions! I love that it's made with only 100% natural oils. I highly recommend giving it a try!

For a limited time, Trusted Health Products (the manufacturer of ReliefMD) is offering my readers a FREE bottle! They'd love for you to try ReliefMD and will send you a bottle, all you have to pay is a minimal shipping charge. This is a one-time only offer. Click here to claim your free bottle!

May Beauty Box 5 Review

The theme for May's Beauty Box 5 is "S.O.S.," but not in the way you might think. Instead of a distress signal, this S.O.S. stands for "Super Outstanding Skin," and they've included complexion-saving products and quick makeup fixes to help you achieve that goal!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Beauty Box 5 costs $12 a month, and shipping is free to U.S. addresses and $3 to Canada. Each box will have five deluxe samples and full-sized products ranging from skincare to cosmetics to accessories, and more!

I always think that Beauty Box 5 does a good job of including a variety of items. You'll never receive a box that's mostly lip products or nail polishes or something like that. May's assortment included another great mix of items.

  • Bio Swiss Stainless Steel Mini Tweezer ($4.99, full-sized) - I pluck my eyebrows multiple times a week (not a full shaping, but for maintenance) and I currently use a set of tweezers similar to these but they were getting dull. These arrived at the perfect time! They're easy to handle and very precise.
  • Essenza Luxury Hand Soap in Rosemary Mint ($.59 for 2 fl oz) - This has a very soothing scent and is perfect for travel. I might even keep this in my purse for those few times when you're using a bathroom and there's no soap--it doesn't happen often, but it happens!
  • Coastal Scents Classic/Synthetic Brush ($2.49, full-sized) - The info card says that an assortment of brushes was sent and I received the Classic Shadow Large Synthetic. I'm glad I got this one because it's the type of brush that I use most often.
  • dermalogica Active Moist ($4.24 for .24 fl oz) - This is an oil-free, lightweight lotion with silk amino acids to even out skin texture. dermalogica has great products but I'm currently drowning in moisturizers so I probably won't use this right away.
  • Styli-Style Blush/Highlighter Stick ($5.99 for .21 oz, full-sized) - The shade I got was "Bittersweet." The Styli-Style site says that it's brown/pink, but it looks a little too brown for my skin. I like wearing brighter blushes that pop against my medium skin and I think this one would blend in to my natural tone too much.
Bottom Line: This box had three full-sized products and a total approximate retail value of $18.30. I like the tweezers and the brush the best, and the hand soap is also convenient. Overall this wasn't my most favorite BB5, but I still think it had a good selection of products!

Simple Loose Leaf Tea Review

I've probably talked quite a bit about my coffee obsession on this blog, but I also am obsessed with tea! While I drink coffee in the morning to wake me up, I love to wind down at night with a good cup of tea. Simple Loose Leaf is a fantastic subscription that sends all different types of loose leaf teas to your door!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Simple Loose Leaf is a great way to introduce yourself to new varieties of tea from the convenience of your home. They have a few subscription options:
  • Monthly: $15/month, renews each month
  • Three Months: $14/month, $42 charged every three months. Save 7%!
  • Six Months: $13/month, $78 charged every six months. Save 13%!
They currently ship to the U.S. and Canada. All boxes ship on the first of the month and take 2-3 days for delivery to U.S. addresses and 6-8 to Canadian addresses. It appears that shipping is free to U.S. and Canadian addresses, but I couldn't find a statement on their FAQ page that said so for sure. There is also a list of lots of other countries on their ordering page, so I'm assuming they ship to all of the countries listed.

Each month you'll receive four to six teas with 1/4 of an ounce of leaves inside, which they state is enough for a full pot of tea or several single serve cups.

The teas arrived packaged nicely inside of a medium-sized box with paper scraps for padding. All of the shipping materials are recyclable.

I received five teas to try and I couldn't wait to dig in! Each bag was labeled and had a detailed description of the tea, and there was also an informational card included in the box with the same information. Here's what was inside (with descriptions taken from the labels):
  • Gunpowder Green: This is made with leaves that have been hand-rolled into tiny pellets. It's a classic style of green tea that comes from the Zhejian province of China.
  • Thai Chai - This is a creamy and succulent chai blend. I tried this one first because I love chai and it did not disappoint! It was packed with flavor and had that spicy taste that I crave.
  • Spearmint Herbal - This tea is smoother and more grounded than peppermint with a refreshingly clear and smooth aroma. I have never had spearmint tea but I do love peppermint, so I'm excited to give this a try.
  • Sungma Summer Darjeeling - The Darjeeling tea is made from the Sungma Estate and has bright aromatics and clean floral white grape notes. It has a plush, tangy, and sweet finish. I haven't tried it yet but I love a good Darjeeling tea!
  • Senna Leaf and Anise Herbal Pu'er - This is made with senna leaf for calming an upset stomach, with anise and licorice to help relax your senses. I normally drink ginger tea when I have an upset stomach so I was curious to see how well this worked. I was apprehensive because I don't love licorice or anise, but I found that those flavors were not overpowering at all. I quite liked the flavor of this and it did soothe my stomach very well.

They even included drawstring bags for steeping and organic sugar packets! I didn't need to use the bags because I have my manatee infuser, but they included instructions on how to use them if you chose to do so.

Thai Chai

Senna Leaf and Anise Herbal Pu'er
I didn't get a chance to try all of the teas before writing this review, but based on the two that I did try (the chai and senna leaf) I think this box is fantastic! I'm certain that I will love all of the other teas as much as I loved the two I brewed up.
Bottom Line: Simple Loose Leaf sent an excellent selection of teas this month that I was thoroughly impressed by! I got to have an old favorite as well as the opportunity to try a few that I have never had before. I think this is a great deal for only $15!

May Birchbox Man Review

I've had my Birchbox Man box for a few weeks now but I kind of forgot about it...oops! Luckily it's still early in May so this review isn't too late.

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! Post contains referral links.

This month I chose the guest editor box from Baxter of California. Technically the products are for Pete since I'm, well, not a man, but I pay for the subscription because sometimes I feel that they include better items in the men's box than in the women's ones! Basically, what I'm trying to say is that I purchase this for my boyfriend but ultimately I have the final say when it comes to sample choice.

As one would assume, this box had items from the Baxter of California line. I was interested in trying their products because, aside from the shaving ones, I figured I could use them as well.
  • Super Close Shave Formula ($1.07 for .5 fl oz) - I guess Baxter has an actual barbershop in L.A. where they use all of these products, but since we live in New York we won't be making it out there any time soon. This shave formula is "smooth and spreadable," according to the Birchbox website, and although it's meant for men's faces I'm thinking I could use it on my legs too if I really wanted to.
  • After Shave Balm ($2.25 for .5 fl oz) - This is a glycerin-rich, alcohol-free post-shave balm that can also be used as a daily moisturizer. It has aloe vera to reduce inflammation and allantoin to soften skin and reduce razor burn.
  • Clay Mask ($3.60 for .8 fl oz) - I'll definitely be commandeering this for myself because I have oily skin and I love using clay masks. This contains bentonite clay to scrub out stubborn pores and milder kaolin clay to gently exfoliate and increase circulation.
  • Daily Face Wash ($.85 for .5 fl oz) - This is a colorless, odorless facewash with anti-inflammatory aloe vera and age-fighting ginger extract. I like that it's simple and odorless and I think that would appeal to a lot of men, too.
  • Surfrider Candle ($12.70 for ~2 oz) - I'm guessing on the size of this, but it's a pretty good sized candle for a sample. It's also the main reason why I picked this box; I love candles! It has a beautiful scent that definitely reminds me of the ocean--it's crisp and clean with a little bit of sweetness thrown in, too.
Bottom Line: I think this Baxter of California box is one of the most well-curated boxes I've seen from Birchbox (from both the men's and women's boxes). I liked that they included skincare samples that could be used all together and the candle was a great bonus.

RocksBox Review #11 + 50% Off First Box!

I've been having a lot of fun with RocksBox and the beautiful pieces they send! I'll admit that I'm kind of lazy when it comes to jewelry; I don't buy it or wear it often, but I do enjoy it. RocksBox is perfect for me because it allows me to incorporate lots of different pieces into my wardrobe without having to make too much of a commitment.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

RocksBox is a jewelry rental service that costs $19 per month with shipping included. Currently they only ship to the U.S. For that fee they'll send you three stylist-selected pieces based off of your style profile and you have the option to keep any at special member prices. You can exchange your boxes as often as you'd like for new sets.

You'll also receive $10 in Shine Spend credits each month to use towards any piece you decide to keep. The credits don't roll over from month to month, but you can also earn more that don't expire by referring friends to the service.

I know I have said it before but I love their simple packaging. It's different from when I last used their service and I think it's much improved. I appreciate simple, clean packaging.

Necklaces are my favorite type of jewelry to wear so I was glad that I got two in this box. I think this selection was actually my best box yet!

I guess I forgot to take an up-close photo of the Kendra Scott Parker Studs in Periwinkle Translucent Glass (and I've since sent this box back to RocksBox), so I'll just talk about them now. I love these earrings and I almost kept them, but I want to keep my $40 in Shine Spend credits for an item that I just can't live without. While these were beautiful, I figured I could find a similar style elsewhere for a cheaper price. These were $36 to keep. What I loved most about them was the simple design and beautiful periwinkle color.

I also really loved the Gorjana Taner Dagger Varied Necklace in Gold ($104 to keep) and was disappointed that it was so expensive to keep. Gorjana (pronounced gor-ee-AH-nuh) is one of my favorite jewelry brands, and what I liked most about this necklace was the simplicity of it. I find myself drawn to dangly pieces like this, so it was a hit! I definitely would have kept it if it was more in the $50 range.

I also got the Gorjana Greer V-Neck Necklace ($52 to keep) in gold. I like silver and gold pieces, but I usually wear gold because I like how it looks on my tan/medium skin. I liked this necklace a lot, but not enough to keep. I appreciated the simple style and would probably purchase it if it was much cheaper (I'm talking $15-$20), but I wasn't wowed by it so I sent it back.
Bottom Line: I thought this box was fantastic and I really did love every piece I got! Unfortunately for me, Gorjana pieces are always beautiful but also usually expensive, so I didn't end up keeping either of the necklaces. I also really loved the earrings. Overall, I think the stylist did an excellent job of picking pieces for me for this box!

Angel's Cup Coffee Subscription Review

I love coffee and I can't get through my mornings without a good cup. I'm also very picky when it comes to brews, but I'm willing to give any variety a try at least once. Angel's Cup is the perfect coffee subscription for me because it allows subscribers to try all types of blends (52 if you subscribe for the whole year!) from the convenience of home!

*Disclaimer: This package was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Angel's Cup is all about curation: they send distinctive single-origin blends in light to medium roasts that you can then purchase full-sized version of in their shop. They even have an app that you can use to rate the samples that you try.

The subscription costs $7.99 per month with free shipping to the U.S., $6 to Canada, and $11 anywhere else in the world. That's an amazing price (especially if you live in the U.S.), considering a bag of coffee often runs anywhere from $8-$15!

Angel's Cup ships from Brooklyn in a standard mailer with their logo stamped on the front. I live in Rochester, New York, but shipping patterns aren't always the most direct, so this took exactly a week to get to me via USPS.

Inside is an info card explaining how Angel's Cup works along with a menu that describes all four flavors.

I use a Keurig and a "My Keurig" cup to brew my coffees and each packet had enough for three cups of coffee. If I had a regular coffee pot I would use the entire packet at once, which would still come out to about three cups I think.

As you can see, the sample pack is labeled with the date it was filled and the sample number so you can match it up to the menu. Here's a rundown of the varieties I received:
  • Coffee Tasting #0111 - Roaster: Spotted Cow Coffee Co., Origin: Ethiopia, AramoThe flavors include blueberry, strawberry, tamarind, tea-rose, and cranberry. The menu states that this coffee has a big blueberry and strawberry flavor up front, but it doesn't show over-ferment in any majorly detracting way. I haven't tried this one yet but I'm interested to see how I like it because I've never had any fruit-flavored coffees before.
  • Coffee Tasting #0112 - Roaster: Spotted Cow Coffee Co., Origin: Kenya, Kamwangi PeaberryThis has flavors of blackcurrant, grapefruit, papaya, mango, peach, tomato, blackberry, vanilla, and soy sauce. Soy sauce?! I never realized so many flavors could go into one coffee. The blackberry, black currant, peach, mango, and vanilla are the forward notes. As the cup cools, the spices reminiscent of a cup of bourbon come out. As soon as I saw that I knew I had to try this first because I love whiskey! It tasted great, a little light for my preference, but it was complex and sweet and very good.
  • Coffee Tasting #0113 - Roaster: Bluebeard Coffee, Origin: Java, Sunda HejoThis has notes of milk chocolate, strawberry, and apricot. Sunda Hejo is a premium mark from the Klasik Beans Cooperative, and the coffee comes from small holder farmers in the mountainous region around the city of Bandung in West Java. Fresh cherries are pulped in small batches, fermented overnight, and washed clean. They're then dried on raised beds in bamboo greenhouses. I knew I had to try this next after I read that it had notes of milk chocolate! It's also very sweet and had good flavor, but was still a bit too lightly roasted for me.
  • Coffee Tasting #0114 - Roaster: Bluebeard Coffee, Origin: Colombia, La Piedra NarinoFlavors include coffee blossom, jasmine, watermelon, cherry, caramel, brown sugar, milk chocolate, almond, ginger, green tea, lime, and cranberry. I think I'm going to try this one tomorrow morning because I'm very curious to see how all of those flavors blend together. According to the menu, the rainier cherry, caramel, watermelon, and cherry blossom round out the clean, refreshing flavor.
I logged into the app after trying flavors 0112 and 0113 to play around with it and I think it's such a cool feature! I love that you can provide feedback and really be a part of the whole Angel's Cup experience in that way.
Bottom Line: I still can't get over how affordable Angel's Cup is and what a great product they send out! I think this subscription is an excellent way to introduce yourself to different coffees that you aren't going to find at your average coffee shop or grocery store. The interactive app is just icing on the cake, too!

Each month Clean Bar Box picks four new, seasonally-inspired scents. Naturally, May's box was full of beautiful floral and other Spring scents!

  • African Violet - My mom always had African Violets in our house when I was growing up so this is a sentimental scent for me. I'm usually not attracted to florals, but this has a great balance of floral and sweet scents. The informational card calls it an "awakening floral scent," which I think is the perfect way to describe it.
  • Honeysuckle Soap - Whenever I hear the word "honeysuckle" I think more of honey and gourmand scents, but then I have to remind myself that a honeysuckle is a flower. This has the strongest floral scent of all of the soaps but I still like it a lot. I also love the vibrant colors on the bar.
  • White Tea Mint - I absolutely love this scent; I think it's my favorite in the box. It's cool and refreshing and reminds me of rain. Green is my favorite color so I also love the design on this one.
  • Cherry Almond - This smells so perfectly of cherry almond! It has a strong cherry scent with almond accents. It also has ground oatmeal in it for light exfoliation.
Bottom Line: I think Clean Bar Box is an amazing value and I'm so impressed by their May box! I've always been a huge fan of handmade soaps because the scents are always so much more authentic than the overly-processed stuff you'll find in most stores. Plus you can have peace of mind while using these soaps because they're free from harsh chemicals and additives.

April Love With Food Review

Whoops, it's May but I'm only now reviewing my April Love With Food box! I still wanted to post the review because this is one of my all-time favorite subscriptions and my favorite snack box by far.

  • Deluxe Box: $17/month, 16-20 snacks per month

All boxes have free shipping to U.S. addresses. This review is for the Tasting Box.

  • Luna Minis Lemon Zest - I usually don't like Luna Bars because of their texture but I was surprised by how good this was. It didn't have too grainy of a texture and the lemon flavor was really good.
  • Back to Nature Mini Chocolate Chunk Cookies - I loved these! They were crunch and delicious. They're also made with Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa.
  • YumEarth Naturals Sour Beans - I've had a few other YumEarth candies before and they are always delicious. I was expecting these to have a smooth coating like other jelly beans but they were actually covered with sugar and were so delicious! They weren't too sour either, so even if you don't like very sour candies I think you would still enjoy these.
  • Wild garden Snack Box To Go! - This had a packet of hummus inside and sea salt quinoa chips. I took it to work because it really was the perfect sized snack for in between meals. I didn't care for the hummus, but that's mostly because I don't really like hummus in general, but I did love the chips!
  • Walkers Pure Butter Shortbread - I LOVE SHORTBREAD! Shortbread is probably my favorite type of cookie and these were amazing. So buttery and so perfect.
  • Vintage Italia Pasta Chips in Garlic Olive Oil - These chips were my favorite item in the box this month. The flavor was amazing and they had great crunch. There was also a $1 off coupon in the box but I wasn't able to find these in a store near me! I would definitely purchase them online though.
  • Mighty Leaf Tea in Green Tea Tropical - I've had this tea before and it's very good; Mighty Leaf Teas are always delicious. It's made with loose leaf green tea and tropical notes.
  • Snacking Star Magnet - This cute little magnet was a nice addition to the box.
Bottom Line: I'm not sure what the approximate retail value for this box was but I can say that I was very happy with it! I'm always impressed by Love With Food's boxes because they include a good variety of snack types and brands.
