Naked Nutrition Naked Whey Supplement Review

Weightlifting is my favorite way to exercise, so I'm very familiar with protein supplements. I find it hard to find ones that taste good but are nutritionally balanced,  but Naked Nutrition has an excellent line that fits both criteria!

Naked Nutrition was formed in 2014 when former cross country and track All-American athlete Stephen Zieminski noticed that a lot of the supplements he came across had filler ingredients with little nutritional value. He decided to start Naked Nutrition with five single-ingredient supplements, including Naked Whey from grass-fed California cows and Naked Pea from raw yellow peas grown in the US and Canada. There are no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners and no mixing agents in their products.

Naked Nutrition now offers over 50 products with most containing three ingredients or fewer. You can choose the flavor and additional nutrition of your supplement by adding whatever add-in ingredients you please.

I received the Naked Whey Chocolate Whey Protein Powder to try. As previously stated, the Chocolate Naked Whey is sourced from small California dairy farms with grass-fed cows that are raised without growth hormones like rBGH or rBST. Each service contains 25 grams of protein and 5.9 grams of BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids). There are no additives or sweeteners.

I'm glad that the whey also contains BCAAs, as I've found a lot of people take those separately when they really don't need to. The Naked Whey contains and adequate amount of those and protein, with only 160 calories per serving and fairly low sugar and carbs.

Now, the most important part (at least, to me): the flavor. I used cow's milk to mix with this and it tasted like chocolate milk! Obviously less sweet than something like Nesquik, but that's the whole point. This is a nutritional supplement, after all. But if you're used to chalky, oddly flavored protein powders, the Naked Whey will come as a nice surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed this supplement.

Bottom Line: I'm impressed with Naked Nutrition's Naked Whey supplement. It has minimal, but effective, ingredients and tastes great. I'll definitely be replacing my current supplement with this!

Rovectin Skincare Review and Coupon

I've reviewed Rovectin before (read that review here) and am excited to share some of their new products with you!

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review. Post contains affiliate links.

Rovectin is a skincare brand from Korea that was created when a brother wanted to help his sister restore her damaged skin from chemotherapy. The Barrier Repair Ultra Cream was their first product, developed to combat side-effects such as extreme dryness and skin barrier deterioration from cancer treatment.

Since then, the Rovectin has become the most trusted skincare brand among patients, dermatologists, and hospitals across Korea. Their Rovectin Repair Complex uses ingredients inspired by nature to create high quality, restorative skincare. Their products are also cruelty-free and vegan.

I use the Conditioning Cleanser and Lotus Water Calming Toner during my morning routine. The cleanser has a low pH level and washes away dirt and grime without stripping skin of its protective moisture barrier. It has no artificial fragrance but there is a light coconut scent from a natural coconut oil derivative. To be honest, I don't notice the coconut scent at all when I use this.

The Lotus Water Calming Toner soothes with lotus flower extract and seven layers of hyaluronic acid and xylitol to retain moisture. This is great for all skin types. I like using toner as an extra way to balance my skin's pH level and provide soothing benefits.

The Lotus Water Cream is a gentle moisturizer that hydrates with clean ingredients and is appropriate for all skin types. Lotus water extract makes up 75 percent of its content and helps protect skin from fine dust or toxins due to its self-purifying features. It also contains kaempferol, a well-known antioxidant that restores balance and has anti-aging properties.

The Barrier Repair Face Oil is one of my favorite products from Rovectin. I have oily skin, and while one might think a face oil would be counterproductive for this skin type, it's actually one of the best products you can use. This one is made with neroli oil and squalane, which are naturally-occurring lipids that hydrate the skin. Tocopheral is a highly potent antioxidant that also helps keep skin strong from the inside-out. I especially love using this oil in the winter, as it helps keep skin feeling moisturized but not greasy.

If the plain Lotus Water Cream bottle is too boring for you, there was a pack of stickers included in the box that you can use to decorate it. I thought this was such a cute idea!

Bottom Line: Rovectin's skincare products are such great quality and affordably priced. I've enjoyed every product I've used from their line and have had excellent results!

Sprout World Plantable Eyeliners Review

An easy way to add sustainability to your lifestyle is to pick up some of the Sprout Liners from Sprout World! Their eyeliners are the world's only plantable liners.

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Sprout World has sold over 50 million plantable pencils in over 80 countries and have now expanded to eye and brow liners. Their makeup pencils are sold in single and double packs for $12.99 and $28.99, respectively, and have a capsule at the end that can be planted and grown into wildflowers after use.

The patented liners are allergy tested and have a natural formula free from microplastics. They also have added natural oils that are good for the skin.

The makeup pencils are available in Brown and Black, are waterproof, and can be used as eyeliners or for brow touch-ups. They're made from certified wood and the plantable capsule is made from cellulose that dissolves into soil. The cap covering the pencil tip is made from recyclable sugarcane.

I love that these pencils are made from so many sustainable and natural ingredients, with minimal waste. It's such a great idea to give a product a second life by turning it into beautiful wildflowers!

I've swatched the Brown and Black liners above. Both glided easily along my skin with no tugging or pulling. The brown is a light brown and the black is, of course, darker and more bold. I didn't mean to draw the number 33, I was more going for some squiggly lines 😆.

Above is the list of ingredients in the makeup pencil.

To plant the Sprout Liners, cover the capsule lightly with soil in a pot and add water and sunlight. The flowers should begin to germinate in seven to 12 days!'

Bottom Line: The Sprout Liners are such a great way to add sustainability to your makeup routine! They apply effortlessly and I am excited to plant the capsules at the end of their use to see what flowers sprout.

FabFitFun Summer 2022 Review and $15 Off Coupon

I have been considering getting an annual subscription to FabFitFun for a while and finally did so due to a recent promotion they ran. The Summer 2022 box is my first for the year.

*Disclaimer: This box was purchased by See, Shop, Love! Post contains referral (not affiliate) links.

FabFitFun is a pretty well-known lifestyle subscription that sends boxes out quarterly. I've gotten a few miscellaneous boxes here and there, but I wanted to treat myself to an annual subscription so that I could choose each item in my box going forward. Seasonal subscribers get to choose their item for four out of six categories and annual subscribers can choose for all six.

Seasonal subscriptions are $54.99 per box (one every three months) and annual subscriptions cost $199.99 per year, plus tax. Annual subscribers also get their boxes before seasonal and are able to pick their items sooner, too.

I missed out on some of the earlier items for the Summer 2022 box since I subscribed late, but I still was able to get a good array of items. FabFitFun usually features brands I enjoy, so although I'm taking a gamble on whether or not the next three boxes will be "worth it," I'm pretty confident I'll like most of the items, especially since I can choose and won't have to deal with getting surprise items I didn't want.

I already have a lot of tote bags, but I liked the Somersalt Neoprene Beach Tote ($80) because of the durable material and interior pockets. I also like the magnetic closure -- totes that don't have any kind of closure aren't my favorite. I'm going to Firefly musical festival in September and although it isn't on the beach, it will be four days of camping and walking around a big field, so this will come in handy for carrying things around.

I like minimalist wallets, so the Michael Kors Bedford Travel Passport Wallet ($78) was a no-brainer. I'm not the biggest fan of the MK branding design, I think it looks kind of tacky, but there wasn't an option for a solid color wallet. It has plenty of card slots and fits your passport as well, so I'm going to take this with me when I cross the border to go to Toronto later this month.

The Sonix Bluetooth Speaker ($45) is a cute little pink speaker that's great for the beach or outdoors. I'll probably take this with me to the festival, too. It has a USB charging cable and two hour battery life. It puts out decent sound for such a little speaker.

IGK Hair is my favorite hair care brand so picking the IGK Legendary Dream Hair Shampoo and Conditioner Bundle ($62) was an easy choice. It's vegan, cruelty-free, and has no parabens or sulfates. It's appropriate for all hair types and has microbiome prebiotics to balance the scalp (something I need!) and red sea algae for moisture and shine.

The Illamasqua Gel Sculpt Contour in Silhouette ($32) caught my eye because I wear BB cream in the summer and like to use a cream blush and contour/bronzer with it instead of powders. There were four shades available and I chose this one because it seemed to suit my skin tone best. It glides on easy and a little goes a long way, so I don't need to use much to get a nice contoured look. It also blends well with just my fingertips.

The last item in my box was the SOAR Desk Mat ($29.99). It's not the most exciting item, but it's functional. In the photo above my laptop is closed, which is why the sticker is upside down, but you can see it extends across my table to hold my laptop in place and provide an effective base for my mouse. It's made from neoprene and is from a BiPOC-founded company.

The total retail value of my Summer 2022 FabFitFun box was $326.99. Since I paid $199.99 for four boxes up front, that makes the actual cost $49.99 per box, which is an excellent value for this month. The Michael Kors wallet and IGK Hair shampoo and conditioner set made it worth it alone.

Bottom Line: FabFitFun is one of the more popular lifestyle boxes for a reason. I'm happy with the Summer 2022 items I chose and will get good use out of all of them. I'm very excited to see what the item choices will be for fall!
