Winter 2022 FabFitFun Review and Coupon

I am always excited when selection time comes around for FabFitFun, and since I'm an annual member I get to choose my products before other seasonal members. The annual subscription has been well worth it for me, since you get to pick something for every category. Keep reading to see what I got in my Winter box!

FabFitFun is a lifestyle subscription where members can choose which items they want to receive from six different categories each quarter. Seasonal subscribers can choose from four of the categories and annual subscribes get to choose from all six. 

I subscribe annually, which costs $219.99 per year. Seasonal (or quarterly) subscriptions are $59.99 every three months. You can upgrade to an annual subscription from seasonal at any time.

I decided to get an annual subscription because I liked being able to choose for every category and being able to choose my items before seasonal members. I found that sometimes items would sell out before the seasonal selection even began (annual members get to select first). In my opinion, the subscription isn't really "worth it" at the seasonal level, unless you're okay with surprises and/or items you may not end up using.

The selection for the Winter 2022 box was pretty good. I've seen some subscribers express annoyance with the lack of quality or variety of items, but so far I've really liked my past three boxes. I think FabFitFun does a good job of featuring different types of products and brands.

All subscribes have access to Add-On, Box Boost, and reFill sales prior to receiving their box. I shopped the Add-On and reFills this quarter, so these items are ones for which I paid extra.

• Mytagalongs Keep It Cool Armband (retail: $24) - This was part of the Add-On sale for $9. I've been needing a new phone holder for when I go jogging and I liked that this one had extra pockets for keys, a lip balm, etc. I thought I had chosen the gray pattern but I received this black and pink snake pattern instead. It's fine, nothing that I dislike so much that I would try to return or exchange.
• IGK Hair Legendary Shampoo and Conditioner ($62) - I was very excited to see this shampoo and conditioner duo available in the reFills shop, as it's my favorite and was available at a huge discount of $21.60 for both! They normally retail for $31 each. reFills work exactly how they sound, which is that I will be charged each quarter and receive the same item (until I choose to unsubscribe from that reFill).

Now on to the items that were included for the Winter 2022 selection:

• Aceology Lifting Treatment Mask ($69) - This mask is way more expensive than anything I would purchase on my own, so I'm interested to try it. It has peptides, adenosine, bitter orange, and green purslane to lift and brighten the complexion. Adenosine is an interesting ingredient, as it's part of RNA and usually used to treat irregular heartbeat. I'm not quite sure how it works as far as skincare goes.
• Vike Beauty Makeup Melt and Aria Beauty Reusable Makeup Swabs Bundle ($24) - These two items were part of a set, so you had to choose both or none. I double cleanse and always need a good makeup melt for my first cleanse, and the Vike Beauty one is unique because it comes in spray form (usually I use creams). I also like the Reusable Makeup Swabs and will use them for lip treatments and more concentrated products, like undereye cream. 

• Laneige Lip Treatment Balm ($25) - I already have a jar of this but it's my favorite lip balm so I was happy to get another. To be honest, the other items in the category were not great, so I was thankful there was at least one item I wanted. While pricey, this balm is well worth it. It's the only one I've used that has thoroughly soothed my lips and kept them moisturized for hours.
• Herbivore Aquarius Pore Purifying Clarity Cream ($44) - I have the Herbivore blue tansy mask and oil so adding the Aquarius cream to the rotation seemed like a good idea. This also features their blue tansy oil and white willow bark to help soothe congested, oily skin (which I have).

• FILA Flexible Back Stretcher ($50) - This might be one of the less-popular selections but I really like it. I've had back pain issues since childhood when I fractured my tailbone and this stretcher provides a good stretch and massage with the acupressure points. It's less intense than a yoga wheel but I could still hear my back giving a little crack when I used it. It has three levels of elevation and also can be attached to your chair.

• Unhide Pillow in Silver Fox ($55) - This was the item I was most excited for that ended up being the first thing I've gotten from FabFitFun that was a disappointment. I've heard a ton about the popular Unhide Lil' Marshmallow blanket and I love soft, fluffy things, so I immediately picked this pillow. I knew it was small (think decorative throw size, 10" x 18"), but in the photos on the FabFitFun and Unhide websites it looked fluffy. Unfortunately it ended up being rather flat and, although it's soft, nothing special. I'm glad I didn't pay full retail for it.

The total retail value for my Winter 2022 FabFitFun box is $267, which is more than the cost of the entire annual subscription. While it could be argued that I could find similar items for cheaper prices, I'm happy with the box and always like fun of picking out my items each quarter.

Bottom Line: FabFitFun is my favorite lifestyle subscription and I look forward to what will be offered each quarter. Even though the Unhide pillow ended up being a bit disappointing, the rest of the items will be put to good use.

Fall 2022 FabFitFun Review and $10 Off Coupon

I signed up for an annual FabFitFun subscription and I like that I get my boxes on a faster timeline now (as opposed to being a seasonal subscriber). I added a few extras to my Fall box and love everything!

FabFitFun is my favorite lifestyle subscription box. It's a quarterly subscription that has two payment plans, Seasonal ($54.99 every quarter) or Annual ($199.99 ever year). The prices do not include tax and shipping. A bonus of signing up for the Annual option is the ability to choose your items sooner than Seasonal subscribers, and you can choose an item for all five categories, not just the first three.

FabFitFun also runs Add-On and Box Boost sales that allow you to add more items at discounted prices, and you can also choose extra items from the choice categories for a lower price. I added two items from the Add-On sale, one Box Boost, and one extra item, plus there was a bonus item, so I ended up with 10 total products.

I will say that FabFitFun tends to be skincare-heavy, which is something I love but may not be for everyone. They featured Glossier products this month and I was excited to try them out, since I've heard a lot from the brand but never actually used them.

• Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment ($32) - I bought this as a Box Boost item for $7. I have issues with itchy scalp and dandruff and haven't yet found a product that's been able to soothe both (except for shampoo and conditioner). I wanted to get this serum to use in-between washes. I've tried it once and it didn't seem to help, but I'll keep using it to see if it balances out my scalp with time.
• Glossier Balm Dot Calm in Birthday ($12) - When I think of Glossier, I think of this product. I love birthday cake scented items and this one is sweet and delicious. It works nicely as a lip balm, but overall I wasn't crazy impressed because it's essentially a fancy lanolin/petrolatum balm and you can get just as effective ones for cheaper. I added this as an extra item and I think it cost $8.

• Mali & Lili Weekender Bag in Black Abstract ($128) - I already have so many travel bags but I can't resist buying more (and, to be honest, the other items in the category didn't interest me at all). This one is well-made with a removable over-the-shoulder strap. I go to Toronto often for weekend trips and this one is great for carrying around my essentials.

• SOROCI Skincare Organic Rice Soothing Skin Toner ($20) - I bought this for $5 in the Add-On sale because I needed a new toner and the price was great. It looks like it's sold out on FabFitFun site now. It's made with rice embryo and David Elm tree/Ulmus Davidiana root extract to exfoliate and rebalance skin's pH levels.
• Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer ($39) - Glow Recipe is another brand I've been meaning to try, and I especially wanted to support them because they're Korean-woman owned (I'm Korean-American). This moisturizer is light and great for summer and also smells really good! Watermelon extract and hyaluronic acid keep skin moisturized without feeling heavy.
• Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream ($30) - I needed a new eye cream so I picked this mostly out of necessity, but it still sounds good. It has hyaluronic acid, cucumber, aloe vera, and chamomile to moisturizer, plump, and cool gentle undereye skin.
• Bausch+Lomb Lumify Eye Drops - This appears to be a bonus item. I do like these eye drops; they work great to battle redness.

• Mighty Patch Invisible+ ($17.99) - This was my second Add-On sale item and I got it for $7.00. I always have these patches on hand for breakouts and they work wonders. I would buy another box in the future anyway, so I was happy to pick these up at such a discounted price.
• Sugarbear Sleep Deep Gummie Vitamins ($29.99) - I take melatonin on occasion when I need help falling asleep so I knew these would be put to good use. They have a yummy berry flavor and also include Vitamin B6, L-Theanine, lemon balm, blue passionflower, valerian root, and 5-hydroxytryptophan extract to help you fall asleep and wake up refreshed. These absolutely knocked me out and let me get a full nights' sleep!

• Epare Mini Vegetable Chopper ($19.95) - Not the sexiest item, but I picked it because it's incredibly functional. I hate chopping onions and garlic and this one will come in handy for those and more when cooking.
• Epare Milk Frother ($24.95) - I've also been meaning to buy a milk frother, so this was an obvious add to my box. It works well to whip up frothy milk for lattes but I also like it because it mixes protein shakes way better than the little balls they include in protein shaker cups.

The overall retail value of my Fall FabFitFun box is $358.88, not including the Lumify sample, for $76.99 ($49.99 for the box plus the extra items I added).

Bottom Line: I'm happy with my Fall FabFitFun box! Having an annual subscription makes the box way more enjoyable because I have more control over what I'll receive. Every item I picked will be put to good use and is great quality.

FabFitFun Summer 2022 Review and $15 Off Coupon

I have been considering getting an annual subscription to FabFitFun for a while and finally did so due to a recent promotion they ran. The Summer 2022 box is my first for the year.

FabFitFun is a pretty well-known lifestyle subscription that sends boxes out quarterly. I've gotten a few miscellaneous boxes here and there, but I wanted to treat myself to an annual subscription so that I could choose each item in my box going forward. Seasonal subscribers get to choose their item for four out of six categories and annual subscribers can choose for all six.

Seasonal subscriptions are $54.99 per box (one every three months) and annual subscriptions cost $199.99 per year, plus tax. Annual subscribers also get their boxes before seasonal and are able to pick their items sooner, too.

I missed out on some of the earlier items for the Summer 2022 box since I subscribed late, but I still was able to get a good array of items. FabFitFun usually features brands I enjoy, so although I'm taking a gamble on whether or not the next three boxes will be "worth it," I'm pretty confident I'll like most of the items, especially since I can choose and won't have to deal with getting surprise items I didn't want.

I already have a lot of tote bags, but I liked the Somersalt Neoprene Beach Tote ($80) because of the durable material and interior pockets. I also like the magnetic closure -- totes that don't have any kind of closure aren't my favorite. I'm going to Firefly musical festival in September and although it isn't on the beach, it will be four days of camping and walking around a big field, so this will come in handy for carrying things around.

I like minimalist wallets, so the Michael Kors Bedford Travel Passport Wallet ($78) was a no-brainer. I'm not the biggest fan of the MK branding design, I think it looks kind of tacky, but there wasn't an option for a solid color wallet. It has plenty of card slots and fits your passport as well, so I'm going to take this with me when I cross the border to go to Toronto later this month.

The Sonix Bluetooth Speaker ($45) is a cute little pink speaker that's great for the beach or outdoors. I'll probably take this with me to the festival, too. It has a USB charging cable and two hour battery life. It puts out decent sound for such a little speaker.

IGK Hair is my favorite hair care brand so picking the IGK Legendary Dream Hair Shampoo and Conditioner Bundle ($62) was an easy choice. It's vegan, cruelty-free, and has no parabens or sulfates. It's appropriate for all hair types and has microbiome prebiotics to balance the scalp (something I need!) and red sea algae for moisture and shine.

The Illamasqua Gel Sculpt Contour in Silhouette ($32) caught my eye because I wear BB cream in the summer and like to use a cream blush and contour/bronzer with it instead of powders. There were four shades available and I chose this one because it seemed to suit my skin tone best. It glides on easy and a little goes a long way, so I don't need to use much to get a nice contoured look. It also blends well with just my fingertips.

The last item in my box was the SOAR Desk Mat ($29.99). It's not the most exciting item, but it's functional. In the photo above my laptop is closed, which is why the sticker is upside down, but you can see it extends across my table to hold my laptop in place and provide an effective base for my mouse. It's made from neoprene and is from a BiPOC-founded company.

The total retail value of my Summer 2022 FabFitFun box was $326.99. Since I paid $199.99 for four boxes up front, that makes the actual cost $49.99 per box, which is an excellent value for this month. The Michael Kors wallet and IGK Hair shampoo and conditioner set made it worth it alone.

Bottom Line: FabFitFun is one of the more popular lifestyle boxes for a reason. I'm happy with the Summer 2022 items I chose and will get good use out of all of them. I'm very excited to see what the item choices will be for fall!

Winter 2020 FabFitFun Review and $10 Off Coupon

I've always liked FabFitFun but I've subscribed intermittently. I started up again with the Winter 2020 box and am pretty happy with my item selection.

FabFitFun is a women's lifestyle box that ships quarterly. You can sign up for a seasonal or annual subscription and are able to choose specific items each box, depending on your subscription type (annual members get to choose more items than seasonal).

I signed up for a monthly membership for now, but may upgrade to annual if the next few boxes are good. Here are their pricing options:

• Seasonal: $49.99 per quarter
• Annual: $179.99 per year (four boxes) 

Annual members have access to the item selection period sooner than seasonal members and their boxes ship first. You'll also be able to choose items from five or so categories per month, as opposed to seasonal, who get to choose from around three.

I received eight items in my Winter box, plus a bonus item and an add-on that I paid extra for. The first item is the eparé Cutting Boards ($19.99). They're thin cutting boards that are 11" x 14" and dishwasher safe. I cook often and had two separate cutting boards (one for veggies, one for meats), but I like having more options now for poultry, beef, and seafood.

• Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Purifying Cleanser ($36): I have a lot of cleaners already, but Dr. Brandt is a great brand and I know I'll use this eventually. It has salicylic acid, which is a must-have ingredient for my oily skin, plus tea tree oil and white willow bark.
• Kate Spade New York Workout Socks ($24): These are listed as for barre workouts but the textured bottoms are also great for yoga. I like the top opening, too, for keeping feet from getting overheated.
• Paradox Lucky Stars Blemish Patches ($18): These were chosen for me by FFF, and they're a good fit. I've been using blemish patches recently and they work surprisingly well. This brand is new to me and I'm interested to see if they work as well as others I've tried. These are black stars though, so definitely for wearing overnight or when I'm staying home all day.
  

• Mobile White Advanced Teeth Whitening Kit ($89.99): This was my hero item of the quarter. I've been wanting to whiten my teeth, so this option came around at the perfect time. The unit hooks up to your phone and emits a blue light along with a gel whitening solution. The box came with enough for nine days, and refills are $14.99. I did notice a difference in the whiteness of my teeth, but I'll definitely have to purchase refills to achieve the whiteness level that I want.
• Daily Concepts Daily Facial Dry Brush ($20): This was picked for me by FFF. I've never used a dry brush before and I didn't really know what to do with it. It's called a dry brush for a reason and is not meant to get wet. It provides lymphatic massage to your skin and helps stimulate circulation and reduce puffiness. I haven't tried it yet because I keep forgetting to use it!
  

• Huangjisoo Pure Perfect Cleansing Oil ($32): This was an add-on item. The way add-ons work is you'll have a few days to shop extra items from the FFF shop at discounted prices. You can add as many to your box as you'd like. I believe this cost me $11. I double cleanse, and this cleansing oil is a great and gentle first cleanse.
  

• Lucky Brand Solid Brushed Scarf ($69.50): I chose this item but it wasn't my first choice. There were skincare items in the category that I wanted more but they were sold out by the time seasonal subscribers got to choose. It's a very nice and warm scarf, I just don't feel that it's worth $69.50. I could find something similar for $20 or less.
  

• Phase Zero Makeup Making Moves Blusher ($28.50): This item was chosen by FFF. This blush is so beautiful! It's a nice peachy-pink and has the perfect amount of shimmer. I think this would be universally flattering for all skin tones.

The total retail value of my Winter 2020 FabFitFun box was $305.98, not including the Huangjisoo cleanser add-on. Although I know I could find less-expensive duplicates for some of these items, I still think the overall value I got for only $49.99 was worth it.

FabFitFun Winter Editor's Box 2020 Review and 40% off Coupon

I signed back up for FabFitFun because I wanted to get the Winter 2020 box, but I signed up too late and ended up getting the Winter Editor's box instead. It still had some fun items inside, though!

FabFitFun sends a box of lifestyle items worth $200+ every quarter for $49.99. Every item is full-sized and you can customize which items you receive. Membership also includes members-only sales, FabFitFun TV content, and access to the subscriber community.

This is a review of the 2020 Winter Editor's Box. The Editor's Box is for people who begin their membership in between seasons when the current box is sold out (hence, why I received this box and not the Winter Box). It's filled with items picked by the FabFitFun editors.

I have to admit I was a little bummed when I realized I had subscribed with an Editor's Box, as some of the items in the Winter Box were really what I wanted but were no longer available. That being said, this is still a pretty good box and I'm happy with what I received!

My box had nine items from eight brands. Here's what was inside:

• Stone Cold Fox Hard Back Notebook ($30): I know journals are trendy right now, but I can't imagine spending $30 on one. This has a pretty floral pattern and lined pages inside, but....it's just a notebook? I'll definitely use it for journaling, I'm just amazed by the retail price.
• Winky Lux Mini Latte Kitten Palette ($20): This palette is so cute! The shades are coffee scented and have warm, beautiful colors. This is one of the items I chose for myself.

These shades are exactly what I love in a palette! This is perfect for travel, too, due to the small size. I also love the kitten motif.

• Giadzy Copper Plated Measuring Spoons ($16): These are from Giada De Laurentiis's collection and, while it isn't the most exciting item, I do cook a lot so these will come in handy.
• Mighty Patch Invisible by Hero Cosmetics ($18): I've seen acne patches like these in other subscriptions but have never tried them, so I'm curious to see how these work. Unfortunately adult acne is still a thing I have to deal with, so I'm sure I'll get the chance to use them sooner or later.

•  Grown Alchemist Bundle ($63): This bundle contains the Deep Cleansing Facial Masque and Vanilla and Orange Peel Hand Cream. I chose this bundle because both items are perfect for my routine. I have dry, cracked hands all throughout winter and oily facial skin. I haven't tried the mask yet, but the hand cream smells lovely and provides deep moisturization.

•  Rene Furterer Karite Hydra Hydrating Shine Mask ($36): I thought this was a face mask at first but it's for your hair. It's infused with shea oil for optimal hydration and smooth locks. I have a few other moisture masks to get through so I'm going to wait to open this, but I will definitely put it to good use.
• Victorialand Beauty Skin-Loving Treatment for Eyes and Lips ($55): Whoa, this is another item with a hefty price tag! It's a cream for the delicate skin around your eyes and lips (not for application on lips). I've used it a few times so far and it does feel quite luxurious and soothing. I chose this item because it was the best option out of the three I was given by FabFitFun.

•  Summer & Rose Rosie Snakeskin Tote Bag ($58): This was the third item that I got to choose for myself, and I went with a handbag because, well, I love bags! This one has sturdy faux snakeskin with an interior pocket. It's well made and I think I'll put it to better use during the warmer months when I'm out and about.

I'm happy with my Winter Editor's Box, even though I really wanted the Winter Box. The total retail value of everything I received is $296.

Bottom Line: FabFitFun is probably my favorite quarterly box! They send a good variety of high quality items, and I like that you can choose some of the items. I might upgrade to an annual membership so I can choose everything in my box.

Winter FabFitFun Review and Coupon

When I saw the spoilers for the FabFitFun Winter Box, I had to sign up right away! There were so many great items perfect for cozying up in the cold.

FabFitFun is a quarterly box that sends over $200 worth of 8 to 10 full-sized items for $49.99 per quarter, with free shipping. Items range from beauty and skincare to fitness and other lifestyle products. You can also subscribe annually for $179.99 every 12 months (four boxes total).

One of my favorite things about this box is that you can customize what you'll receive. Annual subscribers will get more customization options than quarterly subscribers.

I love pretty much everything in this box! I usually purchase big lifestyle boxes like these in the fall and winter because I love cold-weather items. Being able to customize some of the items made it even better! There were nine items total with a good mix of product categories represented.

• Ahava Hydration Cream Mask ($33) - This mask is enriched with mineral spring water, shea butter, and vitamin E to smooth skin while providing intense hydration. Every subscriber will get this in their box.
• Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo ($44) - Oribe is my favorite haircare brand so when I saw that a full-sized Gold Lust Dry Shampoo was available I knew I had to buy this box! The brand is on the more expensive side, so the total cost of the box at $49 made it worth it to get this dry shampoo plus all of the other items. It's sulfate-free and is one of the best dry shampoos I've ever used on my oily hair. This was a customizable item, the other options were a jewelry portfolio or a silver circle necklace.
•  Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in "Stella" ($24) - This pencil is infused with macadamia and meadowfoam oil and has as silky champagne color to brighten the eyes. I wish it had a bit more color payoff, but it looks great as a highlighter on the inner corners of my eyes. Every subscriber will receive this item.

• Bearpaw Combo Set: Headband and Pop Top Glove Duo ($45) - This set has a 100% polyester sherpa-lined headband and fingerless gloves in my favorite color, black. The headband is so soft and super cute, and the gloves are nice as well. My only complaint with the gloves is that they're fingerless except for the thumbs, making it impossible to text with them still. This was a customizable item, the other option is a Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask (hair mask).
• Richer Poorer Reina Over the Knee Textured Sock ($24) - I've been wanting a pair of high socks to wear over boots and these are perfect! They're made from recycled yarn and are a thinner weave but still very cozy and comfortable. This is a customizable item, the other options were a jade roller or Pur Be our Selfie Palette.

• Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask with Hyaluronic Acid ($29) - This set of five eye masks is great for de-puffing the undereye area. They have activated charcoal for a refreshed look. All subscribers will receive this item.
• Brooke Burke Body Sliders ($18) - These discs are to be used with specific workouts where you slide your feet along a carpeted surface. I've been wanting to try this type of workout but didn't have the equipment, so now I do! Annual subscribers can customize this item (other options are a Bite Beauty lipstick or coaster set) and quarterly subscribers will have it chosen for them.
• Anthropologie X Mer-Sea & Co. Sea Whip Body Cream in "Coconut Sugar" ($24) - I love a good lotion, and although coconut isn't usually my favorite, this one smells really good. It's sweet and light and has sea whip extract, sea silt, and Dead Sea salt to protect, nourish, and hydrate skin. Annual subscribers can customize this item (the other option is a Way of Will Elevate essential oil set) and quarterly subscribers will have it chosen for them.

• Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw in "Natural/Ivory" ($49) - Last up is this beautiful throw! I love when subscription boxes include blankets, so this was another plus for me. It's a light woven throw that has a stripe design and fringe detailing. It's very warm and I love wrapping myself with it while working at my desk! Annual subscribers can choose between this color or a Gray/Ivory color and quarterly subscribers will have their color chosen for them.
