The Organic Skin Co. Review

The Organic Skin Co. is from New Zealand that has just launched in the U.S.! They create color cosmetics and skincare with eco-responsible, organic ingredients.

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

The Organic Skin Co. products are vegan, cruelty-free certified by PETA, and certified organic by NZ Bio Gro. They have everything from customizable palettes with cheek, lip, and eye colors, lipsticks, face cleansers, and more!

I tried the Nitty Gritty Almond Seed Exfoliant and Cheeky Lips. Every time you buy a product from The Organic Skin Co., they plant a tree to help combat deforestation. So not only are you treating yourself to a great product, you'll also help give back to a great cause.

The Nitty Gritty Almond Seed Exfoliant is made with 87.6 percent organic and 100 percent natural ingredients, including organic almond seed granules and licorice supercritical extracts. It gently sloughs off dead skin cells and removes excess oils and dirt.

The exfoliating granules are very fine and gentle enough for sensitive skin. I used this twice a week for the past month and I really loved how soft and smooth it left my skin feeling! It cleansed and exfoliated without leaving my skin feeling dry or roughed up.

The Cheeky Lips color is a blush and lip color that is available in seven shades. I tried the "First Blush" shade, which is a light pink that I think would look great on all skin tones.

Cheeky Lips is made with 74 percent organic ingredients. It's designed to provide a long-lasting, natural flush that can be used on the cheeks or lips. It has a silky-smooth texture that glides on easily. I wore this on my lips (see photos below) and it felt light and moisturizing with great pigmentation.

Here's a wrist swatch of the Cheeky Lips in First Blush.

I love how natural the color looks on my lips. Usually I wouldn't choose a pink shade, I gravitate more towards reds/corals, but this one is lovely and great for daily wear.
Bottom Line: The Organic Skin Co. has a huge line of beauty products and I'm sure they'll have something to suit your skincare and cosmetics needs! I loved both products that I tried and I look forward to purchasing more. I love that they use organic ingredients and also give back through their tree planting initiative. This is a great company to support!

Dove Anti-Stress Micellar Water Body Wash and Beauty Bar Review

Micellar water is a fairly new addition to beauty and skincare, and the Dove Anti-Stress Micellar Water line is the first to bring the technology to the U.S. mass body wash market!

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Micelles are surfactant molecules in a liquid colloidal solution. What does that mean? Basically, the micelles are made up of molecules that trap dirt and oil when mixed with water, making for a great addition to cleansers and skincare.

The new Dove line features an Anti-Stress Micellar Water Body Wash and Beauty Bar. Both refresh skin while gently cleansing away pollutants and environmental stressors to reveal smooth, soft skin.

The body wash can be used on the face and body and has a neutral pH level. The scent is light and slightly powdery, much like other Dove products. It's available in a 22 ounce bottle and will last you quite a while.

A little goes a long way with this body wash. Even though it's sulfate free, it still bubbles up really well with a bath pouf or sponge. It left my skin feeling clean without feeling overly dry, and the light scent is refreshing.

The Beauty Bar is suitable for daily use on the face, body, and hands. It cleanses without drying out skin like ordinary soap. It's made with Dove's 1/4 moisturizing cream like the original bars, and helps skin retain moisture. The bar has the same fresh scent as the body wash and left my skin feeling clean without being too dried out.
Bottom Line: The Dove Anti-Stress Micellar Water Body Wash and Beauty Bar are an affordable way to add micellar technology to your beauty routine! Both products cleanse and soothe while leaving skin feeling moisturized.

September Degustabox Review and Coupon

If you love snacks, you have to try Degustabox. They send a huge box of goodies each month for much cheaper than what you'd spend at the grocery store!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review. Post contains affiliate links.

Degustabox is a food subscription that sends all sorts of pantry items, including cookies, chips, sauces, and more! They always have a mix of brands and food types. Boxes are only $19.99 per month with free shipping to the U.S.

Opening up my Degustabox each month is always a treat! September's theme was aptly called "Lunchbox" for back to school. You'll receive nine to 14 full-sized items in every box.

This month's box had 14 different brands represented. Here's what was inside:
  • Hippeas ($1.49 each) - I love these snacks! They're organic chickpea puffs that are also gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, and have no nuts or soy. They're crunchy and delicious. The flavors were Happenin' Hickory and Vegan White Cheddar.
  • GoCo Crunchy Coconut Bites ($2.99) - These bites are made with lightly toasted coconut pressed into bite-sized pieces. The ingredients are ethically and sustainably sourced. I'm not a big coconut fan, but I can see where these would be a really convenient snack for anyone who is.
  • Handfulls Crrrunch Bites ($4.99) - These are so good and really unique. They're almonds coated with rice cracker shells with a mesquite barbecue flavor. They're vegan, gluten-free, and kosher.
  • The Better Chip ($3.99) - These whole grain chips are made with fresh vegetables and herbs combined with masa. The flavor is Jalapeno and Cilantro and they really have a kick! I liked the crunchy texture; these are perfect for dipping.
  • Tiger Tail Mustard ($1.00) - This mustard-in-a-tube is made from an authentic German recipe in a convenient container. I have to say, I really do like the fact that I can just squeeze this onto my sandwich and go.
  • The Chia Company Chia Shots ($.99 each) - These are pure, clean, sun-ripened chia seedsthat can be sprinkled onto muesli, into your smoothies, or more! Two packets equal one recommended daily dose of chia (one tablespoon).
  • SunRype Fruit to Go ($.50 each) - I love these little fruit snacks. They're packed with flavor but are made with only fruit. No additional additives or unnecessary sugars.
  •  Marion's Kitchen Kung Pao Kit ($6.99) - This was available in one of two varieties; you'll receive either the kung pao like me or General Tso Meal Kit. I've actually tried these before but it was the pad thai kit. It has everything you need for the meal except chicken. The whole thing comes together in only 15 minutes!
  • Idahoan Foods ($1.39 each) - These packets are the Classic and Four Cheese instant mashed potatoes. The Four Cheese is made with cheddar, bleu, romano, and parmesan cheese with 100 percent real Idaho potatoes.
  •  Bauducco Chocolate Wafers ($2.50) - I've always enjoyed wafer cookies and these are simple and delicious. They have three layers and no artificial colors or preservatives.
  • Marquis Citrus Yuzu ($2.89) - This is a USDA organic energy drink with no sugar or calories. It's non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and kosher. It's energized with organic yerba mate, green tea, and green coffee beans. I really enjoyed the Citrus Yuzu flavor, it was nice and refreshing.
  • PB Crave ($1.10 each) - These packets are the Sweet and Dark Chocolate and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough peanut butters. The flavors are so fun and taste great!
  • Garden of Life Gol Bar ($2.49) - This bar has clean protein and is made with certified organic, Non-GMO Project verified whole food ingredients. I got the Chocolate and Sea Salt flavor and it was actually really good!
  • Mighty Spark Food Co ($1.50 each) - These are 60 calories or less and made with small-batch chicken and cranberries, jalapenos, and more. They also donate a meal to kids in need with every three sticks purchased!

September Gramma in a Box Review and Coupon

Gramma in a Box is a delightfully creative subscription that sends monthly cookie and candy crafts for families to share with one another. The September box featured crafts for back to school!

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Gramma in a Box was founded by Terry, who was inspired to create the service after her grandchildren moved away. She decided to share her love of baking with everyone with this subscription!

Each month you'll receive pretty much everything you need to decorate cookies and make two crafts. The only items you may need to supply are basics like bowls to melt chocolate in, etc. The finished crafts will create 15-20 snacks.

Here are the pricing options:
  • Monthly: $20 per month
  • Three Months: $55 every three months (save $5)
  • Six Months: $110 every six months (save $10)
  • 12 Months: $220 every 12 months (save $20)
Shipping is free to the U.S. and taxes are included. If you want to cancel, do so by the 25th of the month.

The first project this month is Wafer Pencils. I forgot to take a photo of the supplies/ingredients before completing this one, but it's made up of wafer cookies, white melting chocolate, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. All of the crafts are easy to complete, and this one consisted of melting the chocolate and dipping both ends of the wafer in before decorating with the accents. The wafer cookies are filled with strawberry creme!

The second project is Teacher's Apples. I love how creative all of the crafts are each month, down to the little details like the candy leaves to go atop the apples. For this project, there were six marshmallows that were dipped in chocolate and then coated in red sprinkles, finished off with a pretzel stick and leaf.

Another photo of my completed apples and pencils.

Each box also contains pre-baked cookies for you to decorate, along with colored icing and sprinkles. This month, fittingly, featured alphabet letters and little apples. One of my A cookies broke a little bit in transit, but nothing too serious, especially since I quickly ate them up after decorating them anyway!
Bottom Line: Gramma in a Box is always so much fun! I love doing the crafts and decorating the cookies, and I love eating all of the yummy treats after even more. I like that all of the crafts are easy and can be shared with kids of all ages.

Clean Enhanced Organics Repair Intensive Restructuring Treatment Review

I'm always looking for hair products that will help heal my heat-damaged hair. I have a short cut so I pretty much have to at least blow dry my hair every day, and all that heat adds up. The Clean Enhanced Organics Repair Intensive Restructuring Treatment is the perfect product to help out stressed strands!

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

The Repair Intensive Restructuring Treatment addresses hair damaged by environmental stress, heat styling, or chemical treatments. It not only repairs hair, but also restructures strands for healthy, full-bodied look. It works best when used with other Clean Enhanced Organics shampoos and conditioners, along with the Repair Style Spray and Repair Hair Oil Treatment.

The mask is formulated with organic aloe, chamomile, lavender, and lemon balm extracts. The natural ingredients help create healthier hair without the use of harsh chemicals.

The 8 oz jar is enough to last a long time. You can use it one to two times a week, or as needed. Just add it to towel-dried hair from roots to ends and leave in for two to five minutes, then rinse out thoroughly. I have an oily scalp so I didn't apply this to my roots, but I applied down my hair from about one inch off my scalp and down.

The mask is a creamy consistency with a slightly floral, slightly sweet smell. It was easy to work through my hair and rinsed out well. My hair felt super soft after drying it but not weighed down at all. I've only been using this for about two weeks, but I will definitely continue to do so, because I've seen great results so far!
Bottom Line: The Clean Enhanced Organics Repair Intensive Restructuring Treatment is a must-have for anyone who regularly heat styles their hair or has other damage. It's easy to use, smells great, and works even better! The natural ingredients are a huge plus, and the whole experience left my hair feeling soft and smooth.
