This mask is made with French pink clay and utilizes oil pulling technology to visibly draw out excess sebum from your skin. It also has five self-neutralizing acids to help clarify and brighten skin. It's dermatologist tested, safe for all skin types (including sensitive), and vegan and gluten-free.
When I heard about the oil pulling technology I was instantly intrigued. I've used a mask with similar properties in the past, but the formula recently changed and it doesn't work as well so I had been looking for a replacement.
The mask has kaolin clay and bentonite clay as two of the main ingredients, both of which are excellent for oily skin. The French pink clay acts like a magnet to attract surface dirt and impurities and rosemary oil hydrates to help maintain clarity. There's also dandelion extract for detoxifying, turmeric extract to promote radiant skin, and ginger root extract to help counteract dull, lackluster skin.
The mask works like most others, apply once or twice a week to clean skin and leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse and pat dry. A slight tingling or redness may occur due to the clay, which is definitely normal for this type of mask. I didn't experience either, though.
But does it work? Yes! As you can see from my photo above, the oil pulling technology really does pull out excess sebum from your skin. Al of the little dotted areas on my nose and forehead are extra sebum that the mask extracted. I love using this mask because it's so weirdly satisfying to see the oil pulled out and washed away. This is the perfect mask and is really a treat to use once a week to help control my oily skin!
