Taste and Curiosity is based in California and was created not only to deliver high quality snacks, but to help inspire others to go for their dreams! It sounds like a lofty goal for a snack box, but it's because the people behind the box wanted to travel the world at their leisure. Starting Taste and Curiosity helped them learn about new cultures and pursue old hobbies, and now they want to share positive thinking through the box to help others pursue their dreams, too.

Each box also has a unique collectable magnet with an inspirational quotatation, which I think is a really nice touch. I have a few inspirational items on my fridge right now and this will be a lovely addition!

Taste and Curiosity currently has three boxes available, and you can purchase them individually or as a set at the following prices:

Taste and Curiosity is not currently a monthly renewing subscription. They plan to make that option available in the future as they launch more boxes, but right now each purchase is a one-time deal, allowing you to pick and choose which boxes you want to try the most.

This is a review for the Sakura box with snacks from Japan. I love the simple packaging and design of the box; it's very classy and pretty. I especially like the beautiful sakura blossom illustration on the informational card.

The box contained eight snacks, some of which were new to me and some that were old favorites. I love international snack boxes because they always have something exciting to try that I've never had before, and Japanese snacks are a big favorite because they're often as cute as they are delicious!

• Lychee Gummy Candy - These gluten-free gummies are individually wrapped and have a ton of flavor. I've tried the mango gummies from the same brand, and the lychee ones are just as good.
• Super Cola Candy - Cola flavored candies are popular in Japan and all of the ones I've tried were of the fizzy variety. These are a solid balls that have a hard sour outside coating and soft and chewy core.
• Special Hi-Chew - I love Hi-Chews! They're kind of like Starbursts but better because they're infused with bits of real fruit. I haven't tried these yet, but based on the packaging I think the flavor I received was orange.
• Flavor Burst Peach Gum - This pack contained three peach flavored gumballs, but they don't all taste the same. One is sour and I'm assuming the other two are sweet. I haven't tried them yet, but I really like that they offer variations on the same flavor.

• Panda Cookies - These are so cute! I've seen them in other reviews but I've never been able to try them so I was so happy they were in this box. They're cookies with a blend of white and milk chocolate on top with different panda faces (see photo below) and they tasted delicious.
• Chocolate Cream Cookie - This had three little wafer cookies inside with a creamy chocolate filling. They were really light and would go great with morning coffee.
• Umaibo Vegetable Flavor - I've had different flavors of these Umaibo snacks before and I love them. They're a corn puff snack that's a household name in Japan.
• Meito Fish Wafer - I've tried these wafers before, too, but was very happy to receive another one in this box. It's made of a light wafer cookie with cream filling inside. I received the strawberry flavor.

Bottom Line: I'm so impressed by the Japan box from Taste and Curiosity! I think the price is very reasonable and the products are high-quality. There's a good mix of savory and sweet snacks. I highly recommend this box to anyone who wants to try international snacks!

Earlier this month I tried my first ever Taste and Curiosity box and I was super impressed by all of the great snacks inside. Today I'm excited to share the Korea box with you and offer two of them to my readers in a giveaway!

Taste and Curiosity sends themed boxes with international snacks from all over. They currently have three boxes available and plan to expand to other countries very soon. Not only do they send high quality snacks, but they also aim to inspire others to chase their dreams. Each box contains a magnet with an inspirational quotation on it to remind you to go for it!

I was extra excited to try the Korea box because I was born in Busan, a southern coastal city in South Korea. The Taste and Curiosity box is called "The Seoul Set," as Seoul is the capital of South Korea. The box is on sale right now for $17 (normally $19), and shipping on all boxes is free to the U.S. This is not a renewing subscription at the moment: each box is an individual purchase.

The Korea Box has 10 full-sized snacks and I love every single one of them! Here's what's inside:

• Ottogi Ppshu Ppshu Ramen Snack - This looks like a regular ramen packet but it's actually meant to be eaten dry, not cooked as a soup. The flavor is Spicy Rice Cake and you're supposed to smash it up (hence the illustration on the package) and then add the seasoning and eat it right out of the bag. Sounds like fun!
• Seasoned Seaweed - I love seaweed snacks. These are lightly salted and are simply dried pieces of seaweed. If you've never tried it I encourage you to give it a go, I think they're delicious and a great light snack.
• Lotte Happy Promise Creamy Custard Cake - This is a soft cake with a creamy filling and goes great with coffee, in my opinion.
• Orion Choco Pie - This is probably my favorite snack in the box. It's a classic Korean treat and tastes so great. It's also a political icon according to the info card, but I couldn't access the Taste and Curiosity blog to read more.

• Butter Waffle Crisp - These reminded me of Italian pizzelle cookies, but they're a little bit thicker. They're exactly what they sound like: buttery waffle-shaped cookies that were delicious!
• Couque D'asse in White Crem and Vienna Coffee - These are the Korean adaptation of European wafer cookies and I could eat them forever. The outer cookie shell is super light and fluffy, if that makes sense, and the cream inside is just enough to give it a pop of flavor.
• Margaret Choco Cookie - These made me smile because my mom's name is Margaret. They're a soft cookie that looks almost like a chocolate chip cookie and has a chocolate cream inside. 
• Ace Sand Yogurt Biscuit - These biscuits are made up of two buttery crackers with a thin yogurt flavored filling. If you like a salty/sweet combo you'll really like these.
• Peach Water Jelly - This kind of reminds me of a Go-Gurt, but less viscous. It's a peach flavored jelly that you slurp right out of the package.
• Maxim Mocha Gold Coffee Mix - This is an instant coffee packet from a well-known brand in Korea. I guess instant coffee is big over there, and this is great for on-the-go.

When I think of France I think of delicious baguettes, macarons, and other sweet baked goods (carbs, carbs, carbs!), so I was super excited to open up the Taste and Curiosity France box to see lots of sweet goodies inside!

Taste and Curiosity is a monthly food and snack box that sends treats from all over the world. They currently have an Asia set and a Europe set, and you can purchase each box individually if you'd like, too. Here are the pricing options:

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the Taste and Curiosity boxes I've tried (read all my reviews here) and the France box was no different! They always do a wonderful job of sending treats that I can't wait to devour. They also include a magnet with an inspirational quotation in each box to remind people to pursue their dreams!

The France box had six treats total and two of them were from one of my favorite brands, Michel et Augustin. The box was mostly sweet snacks, but I'm certainly not complaining about that!

• Nougat de Montelimar - This is a soft nougat bar with a mix of honey and almond. I haven't tried it yet but I love nougat inside of candy bars so I'm sure I'll enjoy this as well.
• Michel et Augustin Cookie Squares in Milk Chocolate and Melty Caramel - I first tried Michel et Augustin while I was in a Starbucks in New York City. My brother and I stopped in for a treat and I grabbed the lemon squares and they were fantastic. The Milk Chocolate and Melty Caramel cookies are even better! I wish there were more than just four in a package. They had a shortbread base with chocolate covering a caramel topping. I really could eat about a thousand of these!
• Michel et Augustin Rectangle Crackers - I didn't know Michel et Augustin made savory snacks, too, so I was really excited to try these. They were just as delicious as the cookies! They're little mini crackers with green olive and rosemary flavors. I love dipping fresh bread in rosemary and olive oil and these tasted just like that.

• St. Michel Madeleine - I had heard of Madeleines before but I had never tried one. To be honest, I thought they looked a little bland, but I was so wrong. This soft and moist sponge cake was so rich and delicious! The brand has been famous in France since 1905.
• Carambar - These candies are traditional chewy caramels that are hard at first but soften as you chew them. They became famous for the corny jokes on the insides of the wrappers. I haven't tried them yet but I love caramels and I will no doubt love these, too.
• St. Michel Sables - I normally don't like coconut, but these crispy coconut biscuits were light and had just enough flavor. They tasted great with my morning coffee.
• Magnet - This month's magnet says "In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different," a quotation from Coco Chanel. She's certainly a great choice to represent the France box.

Bottom Line: I loved every single treat in the Taste and Curiosity France box! I wish I had more of everything. I'm definitely going to look into buying more Michel et Augustin and madeleines!

I've reviewed Taste and Curiosity's Asia boxes (read those reviews here), and now they've launched their Europe boxes. All of their boxes have been packed with wonderful snacks, and the Germany box is no exception!

I loved opening up the Asia boxes, especially the Korean box, because I'm Korean. But I was just as excited to try the Germany box because my family has German roots, too! There were six brands represented in this box and 10 individual items. This is a great box for anyone with a sweet tooth because all of the snacks were chocolate-y. I also noticed that hazelnut and wafers tend to be a popular combo in German snacks.

• Manner Hazelnut Wafers - These are premium hazelnut wafers from Vienna and are evidently one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's favorite snacks! I love these kinds of cookies; the cream is a good contrast to the crispy wafer.
• Chocolate Ladybugs - I let out an emphatic "awww!" when I opened these up because they're so cute! They're from a brand named Storz who made these high-quality ladybug chocolates as their very first treat,
• Niederegger Marzipan - This is a high-quality marzipan paste made using the finest almonds in Europe. To be honest, I didn't really know what marzipan was before I got this, but it's made with 70% almonds and 30% sugar.
• Magnet - Each Taste and Curiosity box also comes with a magnet with an inspirational quotation on it. This month's is from Herman Hesse and says "The true profession of a man is to find his way to himself."

• Kinder Bueno - I love, love, love Kinder Bueno! The package had two milk chocolate-covered wafer bars with creamy hazelnut filling. They taste so amazing!
• Hanuta - This is a famous German snack made up of creamy hazelnut filling between two crispy wafers. I haven't tried this yet but it's a nice big bar and it sounds delicious.
• Ritter Sport Minis - I've heard of Ritter Sport chocolates before but hadn't tried them prior to receiving these minis. The flavors were milk chocolate with praline, chopped hazelnuts, and regular milk chocolate and all tasted smooth and were really yummy!

Bottom Line: The Taste and Curiosity Germany box was full of unique sweet treats! If you like hazelnut and chocolate then you'll be in heaven with this box.

I'm back with another review from Taste and Curiosity, a new international snack box. I've really enjoyed their Japan and Korea boxes, and now they've sent me the China box to share with you!

The China/Taiwan Box is titled The Imperial Set. Each box features full-sized snacks plus a magnet with an inspirational quotation on it. The info card describes all of the snacks.

There were 10 snacks in this box, with a good mix of savory and sweet! Here's what's inside:

• Cha Cha Potato Cracker - The green package is wasabi flavored and the black are spicy. I haven't tried these yet but both flavors sound yummy!
• Crunchoco - This is a big chocolate cookie infused with milk chocolate and almonds. Most of the almonds fell off of the cookie and were at the bottom of the package, but I'm not a huge fan of almonds anyway so it didn't bother me.
• Chrysanthemum Tea - This is made from rare chrysanthemum flowers and each pack makes 2-3 cups of tea. I've never had chrysanthemum tea before so I'm very curious to see how this tastes.
• Crispy Peanut Candy - These are the little pink and white packages at the bottom of the photo. They're a Chinese New Year favorite and are sweet and crunchy. As soon as I took them out of the package I knew what they were because they smelled deliciously of peanut butter!
• White Rabbit Candy - When I saw these I loved them right away because of the cute rabbits on the packaging! They're milky candies that have been around for over a century. The inner rice wrapper is also edible.
• Matcha Choco Roll - I love choco rolls! It's a wafer roll cookie coated in cream with a matcha green tea core. I usually don't like matcha but this tasted so good!
• Pineapple Cake - This has a buttermilk crust with a sweet pineapple jam filling. They're a famous Taiwanese pastry.
• Bin Bin Rice Cracker - These are classic Chinese snacks with a subtle savory flavor. I love rice crackers for their simplicity.

A pair of chopsticks was also included in the box, which was a nice treat! They have little white flowers on them. The quotation on the inspirational magnet is from Confucius.

Bottom Line: This was another great box from Taste and Curiosity! I had a lot of fun trying the snacks and learning more about them. I especially liked the extra chopsticks. I think these boxes are a great way to try high quality snacks from different countries!
