The Cani-Fresh Stress Relief Supplement is great for people who are not sure about CBD, since this contains no CBD but still provides great stress relief benefits. It has Vitamins B1, B3, B5, B6, and B12 and L-Theanine, folic acid, thiamin, niacin, pantothenic acid, lavender flower, lemon balm leaf, passion flower herb, and magnolia bark. If you're not already familiar with CBD, it stands for cannabidiol and is one of the active ingredients in cannabis, but it is not illegal and will not get you high. It's derived from the hemp plant and is used in everything from skincare to treating conditions including Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, and anxiety.

The Cani-Sleep line is made with melatonin to target three key sleep phases: relaxing before sleep, falling asleep, and staying asleep. I have clinical anxiety and sometimes have trouble falling asleep so I've been interested to try CBD to see if it helps me relax enough to fall and stay asleep.

The Cani-Sleep CBD Oil is made with melatonin, organic Valerian root, organic hops, passionflower and skullcap, and MCT oil. It contains 1500 mg of CBD per bottle for 50 mg per dose, and 30 mg of melatonin per bottle for 1 mg per dose. It has broad-spectrum hemp extract (CBD, CBG, CBDV, CBDA) and a natural mint flavor.

The oil is a high dose option and is for people who want the most potency from their CBD oil. It has a measured dropper, and the instructions say to take one full dropper (about 20 drops) about 30 minutes before you go to sleep. It can be taken directly or added to liquid (tea, etc). 

I started with just one drop because I have never taken CBD before and wanted to start out slow. Also, to be honest, the flavor is not great, so I only took a drop or two in the beginning. The carrier oil is coconut oil, so it's decently thick. To take the oil, I put the drops under my tongue and held them there for about 30 seconds, then swallowed the oil.

I will say, even just one drop helped me a lot. I have taken melatonin before, and the CBD plus melatonin in the Cani-Sleep oil truly helped me fall easily to sleep and stay asleep. I actually felt a bit drowsy in the morning, so only take this when you can commit to a full eight hours of sleep to avoid grogginess the next day. The best I can explain the feeling is that I could sense my mind slowly relaxing and falling into sleep.

I also tried the Cani-Sleep Oral Spray, which is great for travel. It has the same broad-spectrum hemp extract and mint flavor with 250 mg of CBD per bottle/8 mg per dose and 30 mg of melatonin per bottle/1 mg per dose. I found that this had a less offensive flavor and was easier for me to take. I used two sprays and was also able to fall asleep and stay asleep with this lower-dose option.
