Green Goo Skincare and Hand Sanitizer Review

I recently posted about Green Goo's initiative to create hand sanitizer for their customers and local community. They've got a great line of natural and vegan products for all types of needs and I have some of their products to share with you today!

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

I've reviewed some of Green Goo's products in the past and have always been impressed by their quality (you can read my previous reviews here).

First off, they included a bottle of their hand sanitizer. It is a 2 fl oz bottle that costs only $3.50 and they have no limit on how many customers may buy.

Green Goo teamed up with Spirit Hound Distillers in their town of Lyons, Colorado to create the Green Goo Hand Sanitizer to distribute to the community. You can read more about that initiative here. It contains 63.5 percent alcohol to kill 99.9 percent of germs, which is the FDA-approved effective alcohol content. The sanitizer is gel-like in consistency and is fairly gentle on skin, at least as much as a hand sanitizer can be. There is only a light scent from the alcohol that dissipates quickly.

If you're having difficulty finding sanitizer in your area, I highly recommend picking up a few bottles of this. The price is affordable and fair and you can buy as many as you need!

The Free to Breathe balm is an aromatherapy product with eucalyptus, rosemary, and lavender to help temporarily relieve symptoms of the cold, flu, and allergies. The high concentration of botanic oils helps soothe congestion. I like using balms like these to help fall asleep, too, since lavender always helps me drift off. I like to rub a little under my nose before sleep, but you could also apply to your chest to help with congestio.

Green Goo also has a large line of natural deodorants, including the Wild Rose Natural Deodorant. The deodorants are available in solid and gel forms, and the one I received is a gel.

The gel deodorants are plant-based and do not contain baking soda, aluminum, petroleum, or phthalates. The base is aloe vera with an infusion of calendula to help balance and eliminate body odor.

The Green Goo Face Wash (pictured above with the deodorant) is gentle yet effective. It's made with calendula-infused olive oil and vitamin E to replenish and nurture skin without clogging pores. The formula gently dissolves dirt and makeup without harsh or drying chemicals.
Bottom Line: This is another great lineup of products from Green Goo! Their skincare line is broad and all of the products I've tried have been excellent. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for natural skincare that is affordable and effective!

Green Goo Gives Back + Free Sanitizer

I've always been a fan of Green Goo and during the COVID-19 outbreak they've continued to create all-natural body care to help give back to their local community in Lyons, Colorado.

Green Goo is a women-owned business that recently partnered with Spirit Hound Distillers to create small-batch hand sanitizer for their local emergency responders and community. Green Goo CEO Jodi Scott states in this interview that the product is not a typical product for the small company, but they knew that there was an urgent need. They've ensured that the formula is what the CDC and WHO have stated is the most effective in battling the COVID-19 virus.

The sanitizer is made with FDA-approved 63.5 percent alcohol and disinfects and kills 99 percent of bacteria and germs. Green Goo is providing 3,000+ units to the Lyons community.

If there's one positive thing that has come out of the COVID-19 outbreak, it's seeing companies big and small doing what they can to help others in need, such as what Green Goo is doing now. It's important now more than ever to support smaller businesses, and you can do so by purchasing some of Green Goo's excellent natural products. You can read my reviews of some of their products by clicking here.

Green Goo is offering a FREE 1 oz hand sanitizer with every order for customers, too. Individual sales will be available on the Green Goo website and in stores in late April. Green Goo is also donating one percent of the sanitizer sales to select local and international charitable organizations that are making a difference in the fight against COVID-19.

Be sure to support Green Goo and their charitable efforts by shopping their site, and pick up a free hand sanitizer, too!

Green Goo Body Care Review

Earlier this year I reviewed a pain relief balm from Green Goo (read that review here), a company that creates medicinal herbal healing products. They also have a great line of bath and body products that are great for gifting this holiday season!

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Not only does Green Goo have excellent products, they also do a lot to give back. They're a certified B Corp, meaning they are a company that uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. B Corp certifications are to sustainable business as USDA organic certifications are to organic foods. They also donate some of their proceeds to charities like Mercy in Action, 1% for the Planet, Summit for Soldiers, and more. Lastly, they are Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free.

I received the Unwind and Relief Bath Salts and the Skin Loving Essentials set to try, and all of the products worked wonderfully for my dry, chapped winter skin!

I love to pamper with a warm bath year round, but they're especially nice in the winter. Unwind Bath Salts have lavender and bergamot to to relieve stress and tension and soothe skin. The Relief Bath Salts have eucalyptus and mint to soothe aches and pains. I use these in the bath and the shower; in the shower I sprinkle some on that tub floor and let the warm water activate the soothing scents. Both smell absolutely wonderful and are great for relaxation.

The Skin Loving Essentials has four products inside. I couldn't find the set in their shop, but I've linked to each individually:
  • Natural Herbal Salve Skin Repair: I actually couldn't find this stick in the shop either, but they have a larger tub available. The product is made with aloe vera and Vitamin E to nourish and improve skin's appearance. It can be used as a night eye cream, on aging and sunspots, and for after-sun care. The formula is really smooth and it absorbed into my skin quickly. It worked wonders on the dry skin patches on my hands.
  • Lavender Body Lotion: This relaxing lotion has shea butter and argan oil for quick absorption and great moisture. It smells wonderful and I like using it before bed to help relax.
  • Geranium and Lavender Castile Wash: This multipurpose soap can be used as a dish soap, laundry detergent, stain remover, shower soap, bubble bath, or even pet shampoo.
  • Dry Skin Balm: I love this moisturizer! It has a high concentration of calendula flowers and five other active healing herbs to provide natural head-to-toe relief of dry skin. The homeopathic ingredients can help alleviate symptoms of dry skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis as well as dry red bumps, cracked skin, and windburn. I like to apply it to my hands and cuticles for long-lasting moisture.

Here are some close-ups of the Dry Skin Balm and Skin Repair.
Bottom Line: Green Goo has a great, diverse line of body and skincare products made with natural ingredients. They're also cruelty-free and a certified B Corp, so you know your purchase will be supporting a company that is ethical and gives back! I loved all of the products I've tried here and am so glad to have them to help heal my dry skin.

Green Goo Pain Relief Review

I've had back pain ever since I was a kid when I fractured my tailbone on amusement park ride. Fun! Needless to say, I've tried a lot of pain relief products. I really like the Green Goo 100% All Natural Pain Relief balm because it's made with natural herbal ingredients!

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

Green Goo is a women-owned family business that creates medicinal herbal healing products. They have a huge line of products, including bath and body, pet care, products for mom and baby, and more.

The Pain Relief balm is made with a potent herbal formula powered by Arnica flowers. It has a unique blend of herbs and essential oils that emulate hot and cold therapies and increase circulation to soothe pain from sprains, sore muscles, inflammation, and more. It's free from petroleum, parabens, mineral oil, or any artificial ingredients. Green Goo is also Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free!

As you can see from the above photo, the ingredients list is minimal. Those with asterisks are organic. Arnica is known for its natural anti-inflammatory properties, and the added essential oils also work to reduce inflammation.

The Pain Relief balm is available in the above .7 oz travel tin, a large 1.82 oz tin, a .6 oz stick, and a 4 oz jar. The travel tin is a great size and since a little goes a long way it'll last me quite a while. The balm is made with an olive and sunflower oil base, so you just have to press into it a little to make a dent and then it easily glides onto your skin.

I applied this balm on my neck and lower back before sitting down to write this review. It has a very gentle soothing sensation. If you're used to more aggressive, non-natural topical pain relievers you may feel that this balm isn't "working," but I would recommend really tuning in to where you applied it. I think you'll find that it does a great job at soothing pain. My neck and back definitely felt less tense after applying this. Plus, I love that it's made with natural and organic ingredients so I don't have to worry about what chemicals are being absorbed into my skin.
Bottom Line: The Green Goo Pain Relief balm is a new favorite for me! It soothed my sore muscles quickly and effectively. I also love that they're Leaping Bunny certified cruelty free and use organic herbal ingredients. Definitely give this a try if you're looking for a pain relief balm!
