September PostBox by Postmark'd Studio Review and Coupon

This month, PostBox took on the back to school theme with a set of retro and classic stationery. Everything was expertly curated, as usual, and beautifully made!

PostBox is a stationery subscription from Postmark'd Studio that sends four handcrafted, artisanal cards, one postcard, stamps, and an "artsy doodad" each month. Boxes are $25 per month with $5.95 shipping for the monthly plan, or as follows (with shipping included):

• 12 months at $240 prepay

One of my favorite things about PostBox is the beautiful packaging. Everything is wrapped up like a little gift, which adds lovely special touch.

I really love the old school theme this month! I think PostBox contains the perfect assortment of cards and accessories. The curation also always stands out, as the back to school theme is clearly evident.

The "artsy doodad" for September is the checkerboard patterned pencil case and silver pencil. The pouch has lots of standard number two pencils and a Pink Pearl eraser in it as well.

The Library Cards by Frankie and Claude, located in Camas, Washington are so unique! They're a retro set that are perfect for note taking, list making, or whatever else you need. There's also a set of 10 envelopes lined with pages from recycled books.

• Pink Pearl - This card is by Nicole Ray of Sloe Gin Fizz, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The card features her trademark whimsical design and sense of humor.
• Hello - This is by Warren Tales in San Diego, California. The card also has a detachable postcard, which is a modern way to create "chain mail!" PostBox also included an extra postcard stamp for this.

• The Original Laptop - This nostalgic letterpress card is from a. favorite design in Chicago, Illinois. This is the postcard for the month and is great for sending a quick note to a friend.
• Computer Calendar - This card has a mini calendar on it and is by Blackbird Letterpress in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with an illustration by Rebecca Kreisler. The design is so cute and is a great birthday card for January!

The info card also contains information about a program called Letters For the Elderly, which is a wonderful organization that was founded in December of 2013 by Jacob Cramer. They are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that collects handwritten cards and sends them to the elderly to let them know they're loved and appreciated. I think this is an amazing program and I'm definitely going to be using my PostBox cards this month to send to Letters for the Elderly!

Bottom Line: I love PostBox! All of the cards, postcards, and accessories are always amazing and high quality. The designs are fun and always fit wonderfully with the theme. This is one of the best stationery boxes out there!

The July box shipped in a cardboard mailer, but this month's box was packaged in an actual box. The packaging is beautiful and simple, as you can see from the photos above.

All of the items are neatly packaged with string, which adds to the handmade charm of the box. The Farmer's Market theme is apparent right away!

Postmark'd Studio took the "farm to table" concept and adapted it to "letters to mailboxes" for this box! I think it's such a cute idea and the cards and postcards are equally adorable. I love how bright and colorful everything is.

• Everyday I'm Brusselin' by Meeschmosh - Artist Michelle LaRocca is a graphic designer based in Long Island, NY whose inspiration comes from random thoughts and everyday life. I love the wordplay on this card!
• I'm All Ears by Farmwood Press - Farmwood Press is located in Atlanta, GA and is run by husband and wife duo Chris and Katie Torres. Their presses are an extension of them and their family and even have names! The whimsical corn design on this card is too cute.

• A Bushel & A Peck and A Hug Around the Neck by 1canoe2 - Fellow musical theater fans will recognize the Guys and Dolls reference here. 1canoe2 is located in Fulton, MO and is n illustration and letterpress studio that roots their work in life's natural beauty and a pursuit of curiosity.
• You Are One in a Melon by Alexis Mattox Designs - Husband and wife team Paul and Alexis from Springfield, UT created their company after meeting their first day in college. Their works showcase their passion for design, laser cutting, and paper.

• Tomato and Carrot Seed Packet Postcards by Found Image Press - Found Image Press from San Diego, CA carries over 35,000 images derived from vintage postcards, photographs, and illustrations dating from 1890 to 1945. The seed packets pictured in these postcards are from the Card Seed Co. from Fredonia, NY and were originally printed in my hometown of Rochester, NY by Genesee Valley Litho Co! I love the hometown connection here.

Bottom Line: I'm again impressed by the high quality, beautiful cards and postcards in the PostBox from Postmark'd Studio! Everything matches perfectly with the theme, which is a great one for August. I especially love the Found Image Press postcards.

July PostBox By Postmark'd Studio Review

Postmark'd Studio is a stationery and gift boutique that has just launched their subscription service, PostBox. They kindly sent me their inaugural box to share with you and I think you'll enjoy it as much as I did!

Postmark'd Studio was founded in January of 2017 and they launched their website just recently on June 1. Their mission is to revive letter writing to support meaningful human connection. In today's digital age, it seems like more and more people are circling back to "snail mail" and handwritten communication and I personally love it! It's important to reach out with a card or letter every once in a while.

The PostBox subscription costs $25 per month with $5.95 shipping ($30.95 total). Each shipment will contain four handcrafted artisanal cards, one postcard, postage stamps, and an "artsy doodad" such as a pen, pencil, or knick knack. Each box is curated around a theme and will allow you to creatively show your loved ones you care.

As you can see from the photo above, the PostBox packaging is excellent. Everything was shipped in a thick envelope and the contents were between two pieces of cardboard for extra protection.

I normally take photos of the packaging for any subscription I receive, but I really wanted to showcase how thoughtful and well-done the PostBox presentation is! I almost didn't want to untie everything because it was so neat and pretty.

There were two extra inserts, one is the light blue card with Postmark'd Studio logo on it. This is a postcard itself with space for writing and addresses on the opposite side. The other card had letter writing tips and instructions on how to draw a fun whale doodle and information about the cards inside on the other side.

As promised, the package included four beautiful handmade cards and one postcard. The extra knick knack item was a pen, and the postage stamps were neatly packaged inside a separate little envelope.

I love these cards! Obviously the theme is whales and it couldn't be more appropriate for me. I'm sure the beautiful artwork will be appealing to everyone, but I especially like these cards because I was obsessed with marine biology when I was younger. I think the postcard (top left) is a Humpback Whale, the black whale below it is a Right Whale, and the red and blue card features a Blue Whale. Here's more info about each card:

• Have a Whale of a Time (postcard) - This is from Noteworthy Paper & Press, located in Missoula, Montana, which is a team made up of Taylor Valliant and Amy Dolan. Both women are passionate about paper and letterpress and create splendid stationery for all.
• Whale Hello! (far right) - This card is by August & Oak, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The husband and wife team of Haley and Adam use their original illustrations and turn them into delightful cards.
• Herman the Whale (top) - This card is by Reyn Paper Company in Atlanta, Georgia. They've made it their mission to create unforgettable greeting cards and paper gifts.
• Whale, Whale, Whale What do we have here? (bottom) - This card was created by Kelly Shields, a letterpress artist and educator from Cincinnati, Ohio. She combines computer designs with the old-fashioned printing process to create beautiful cards. This design was designed by her daughter.
• Whale, Congrats! (far left) - MAN vs. GEORGE DESIGN, a company located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, created this card. Their designs are a wash of color and vivid graphics that create a perfect harmony of image and text.

Last up is the assortment of stamps. There were four in the package with varying designs. I love getting stamps like this because I usually just buy the basic ones that are available at the post office, so getting fun designs adds even more flair to your letters.

Bottom Line: I am in love with PostBox! I think this box is very well curated and features absolutely beautiful cards and stationery. The inaugural shipment was perfect for me and I adored all of the whale designs. I think PostBox from Postmark'd Studio is an excellent subscription for anyone who loves stationery and handmade cards!
