September Spicy Subscriptions Review

*Note: This is a mature post that is a review for a love and intimacy product subscription service.

I was approached by Spicy Subscriptions to review their September box and I agreed because intimacy products are not something I know much about.  I know that this type of post is not for everyone, but if you'd like to read my review please click on the "read more" link after the photo.

Hands-down the prettiest packaging I've ever seen from a subscription service!  The box is made of a sturdy material and the ribbons are attached to the bottom, so it's perfect to use to wrap a birthday present (after removing the sticker, of course!).

I was really interested to see what would be included in the Spice Box because, like I said, I don't have a lot of experience with these types of products.  I think this service is great for people who want to add some fun to their relationship but might not be that comfortable with buying products at the grocery store, etc.  The box arrives in a flat rate shipping envelope and is completely discreet.

Spicy Subscriptions has two subscription options: the Premium Spice Box costs $19.99/month and the Deluxe Spice Box is $34.99/month; shipping is included in the fee.  You can sign up for a monthly charge, or pay for four months or a year at a time.  I received the Premium Spice Box to try--here's what was inside!

• JO Premium lubricants - There were six sample packets in the box, two each of the H2O Personal Lubricant for Women, silicone-based Personal Lubricant for Women, and All-in-One Sensual Massage glide.  I'm looking forward to trying out the massage glide oil.
• DONA by JO Kissable Body Drizzle - I noticed this first when I opened the box because it was the largest item.  I'm guessing it's a full-sized product, which retails for $12.99.  I've seen the DONA brand before on EdenFantasys.com, and I think this sounds like a lot of fun to use.  The flavor is "Mangosteen Delight."
• Swipes Lovin' Wipes! - These are cucumber scented and can be used before or after intimate moments to cleanse and clean up.  I really like that they're made with 98% renewable resources, are free of alcohol, chlorine, and dyes, and are made up of 100% fibers derived from sustainable resources.  They're also biodegradable and break apart when flushed down the toilet.
• O'My International Natural Lubricant - This item is the "Exxxtra Spicies" item for the month, and it contained three 6 mL bottles of lubricant.  They're cute little bottles and perfect for travel.

I'm impressed by Spicy Subscriptions, although I don't think that I'll be signing up for a subscription at this time.  I wouldn't use these products often enough to justify having more delivered on a monthly basis, but as I said previously, I think it's a great idea for those who want to try something new and might not have access to a wide variety of intimacy products or may not be comfortable with purchasing them in stores.

Bottom Line: If you're looking to spice up your relationship and like getting surprises in the mail, give Spicy Subscriptions a try.  This premium box had some fun items in it and I think that as they continue to grow and add more brands they'll have a lot to offer their subscribers.  Spicy Subscriptions has also notified me that from now on each box will include a toy as well!
