Hask Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo Review

Dry shampoo is my best friend, especially in the summer months. I'm a little lazy when it comes to hair care sometimes, plus it's better to not wash your hair every day. Unfortunately, my hair is pretty oily so I have to do something with it daily--luckily the Hask Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo refreshes my hair perfectly!

I've used shampoos, conditioners, and hair oils from Hask in the past and I have always enjoyed their quality and efficacy. The Chia Seed dry shampoo is equally as wonderful! All of the Hask dry shampoos are free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, and artificial colors and are available at Ulta Beauty.

The Chia Seed dry shampoo works to volumize hair with long-lasting oil absorption. It's infused with a lovely floral tea scent that I love. I kept smelling it throughout the day after spraying it in my hair and it was so light and refreshing! It contains chia seed and ultra fine rice starch that quickly soaks up oil, sweat, and odor while leaving hair bouncy and clean.

Aside from the scent, what I like best about this dry shampoo is that it quickly soaked up excess oil without leaving my hair weighed down. I have thick hair that gets oily pretty fast, so I need something that will clean up my hair. Other dry shampoos I've tried have left my hair feeling sticky and weighed down at the roots, but this one left my hair feeling smooth and clean. It also has a pretty strong spray out of the bottle so just a few quick spritzes at the roots were all I needed.
Bottom Line: The Hask Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo is a great value and works wonders on my hair! I think it's a great way to refresh second-day hair of all types.

HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection Hair Care Collection Review

I am big fan of HASK's hair products. I've never tried a line from them that I haven't enjoyed, and when I found out about the HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection set I had to try it!

*Disclaimer: These products were sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review.

I have highlighted hair and I want to protect and keep the color for as long as I can, since good highlights are quite an investment! HASK uses kalahari melon oil to protect color-treated hair from damage and fading caused by washing and heat styling (both of which I do daily).

I received a set with the Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner, and Shine Treatment. All of the products are free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, alcohol, and artificial colors. They also smell divine!

Kalahari melon oil counteracts dryout and fading in colored hair. The shampoo contains a Color Shield Complex made up of cranberry and sunflower oils to delicately cleanse and maintain long-lasting, vibrant color. The conditioner does this and also detangles. The Deep Conditioner (which I ripped when I opened the box with a box cutter, hence the tape in the photo above) is an ultra-restorative treatment mask. The Shine Treatment oil can be used on wet or dry hair to provide a radiant glow without greasy residue.

I absolutely love the HASK Kalahari Melon Oil line and I'm so glad I found it! My favorite thing about the shampoo is that it actually lathers really well. Usually sulfate-free shampoos don't lather well, and while lather isn't indicative of a better clean, I just prefer it because I find it easier to spread the product throughout my scalp. After using all four products my hair is so, so soft and smooth and smells amazing. I also like that all of the products are really affordable.
Bottom Line: If you're looking for a high-quality, affordable color care set I highly recommend the HASK Kalahari Melon Oil line! I will definitely be purchasing more of all of these products once I run out!

Hask Hair Products Review

I have long, thick hair, but I do not treat it very nicely.  I haven't been straightening it as much as I use to, but I still blowdry it for a few minutes each day before putting it up into a bun.  Needless to say, years of heat styling leave it pretty dry and fried, so I'm always on the lookout for products to help repair my hair.  Hask has a wonderful line of hair products that do exactly that!

Hask sent me a total of eight different products to try, along with two Twistbands and a shower caddy (not pictured).  The products on the left are from the Keratin Protein line, and the ones on the right are from their Argan Oil line.  I was so excited to try these because I've used argan oil before, but never keratin, and of course I was curious to see what the results of both would be.

Normally I would sample hair products for about a month before writing up a review, but for this one I had a seven day period to try the product before I needed to publish.  I wasn't sure if that would be enough time for me to really see results, but I was wrong!  The Keratin Protein Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner made my hair feel so much softer after just one use!  I also really enjoyed the Shine Oil, which amplified the effects of the shampoo and conditioner.  I have not yet tried the Deep Conditioner, but I bet it is amazing.  Keratin protein is what your hair is made of, so Hask's products work to restore, revive, and strengthen damaged hair using ingredients that are naturally found in your hair.  I also really liked how great they smelled; the scent was slightly fruity.

The Argan Oil Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner also made my hair feel soft and smooth.  The argan oil used in Hask's line is from Morocco, where it is prized for the way it strengthens and moisturizers hair.  It's loaded with antioxidants and vitamins, and the effect these products had on my hair was wonderful.  Like with the Keratin Protein line, my hair felt noticeably different after one use.  I was able to use the Deep Conditioner for this set, and I couldn't stop touching my hair because it left it feeling so smooth and soft!
Bottom Line: If your hair is damaged in any way, whether it be from heat styling, coloring, or just general environmental factors, I highly recommend the Hask Keratin Protein and Argan Oil lines!  Both left my hair feeling restored after just one use.  Best yet, they are a 100% cruelty-free company.
