Spicy Subscriptions Premium Spice Box Review

Back in September I reviewed my first Spicy Subscriptions box, and I joined their referral program.  Thanks to two new members using my referral link to join, I earned a free spice box.  This time it was one of their Premium boxes, and it had lots of goodies inside!

*This is a mature post for adult intimacy products.  If you wish to continue, please click "read more."

The Premium Spice Box costs $24.95 a month and contains 1 flirty item, 1-2 full sized products, and 4-8 trial-sized products and samples.  The box I received is the February Valentine's Day box, and I think the items inside definitely matched the theme.

Here is what was inside:

  • Spicy Subscriptions Ben-Wa Balls - If you've read Fifty Shades of Grey then you probably know what these are.  I have not read any books in the series, so I had no clue what these were.  In the photo above they're in the little black pouch, but I have other photos that I'll post further down the page.  They're two metal balls that you use internally to practice kegels.  I will not be using these--no judgment against those who do, they're just a little too far outside of my comfort zone.  You can read more about them at this blog post by Spicy Subscriptions.
  • Heart's Desire Warming Massager - I love getting massages and any kind of massage products are usually going to be an A+ in my book.  I haven't tried this massager yet but it seems cute and fun.  It's about the size of my hand (I do have smaller hands, though), and it can be heated and reheated, which is my favorite part.
  • DONA Bath & Body Sensual Chromotherapy in Mangosteen - This is a bright red bubble bath (I think), 4.25 fl oz.  The packaging says that DONA is cruelty-free and paraben-free, but I'll have to look into it further to verify the extent of their cruelty-free claims (I want to believe that this product is entirely cruelty-free).  The liquid has a fruity scent that I really like, and although I haven't used it the instructions say that it'll color your bathwater.
  • My Joy Collection Edible Body Icing - The informational card that came with the box lists something about a massage candle, so I think that's a typo.  This is definitely a jar of body icing and the scent/flavor is "Sensual Strawberry."  It's very fruity-smelling and it reminds me of fruit snack gummies.
  • Sample Products - Frolic water-based Toy Lubricant for Women, Swipes Lovin Wipes Unscented, Jo All-in-One Sensual Massage Glide, Jo Personal Lubricant for Women, Glyde condoms, and Aloe Cadabra Peppermint Tingle lubricant.  I've used the Swipes before and they come in handy (there were some included in the September box I received), I like that this one is unscented.  I think the last one I tried was cucumber melon.  I also like the Glyde products because they're "pleasure principals for today's discriminating eco-sexual," and they're certified ethical and vegan by PETA.

Bottom Line: Overall, I think this box is a really fun gift for Valentine's Day.  I will definitely use most of these products.  What I like best about this service is that for those of us who are a little shy about purchasing intimacy products, it's the perfect way to discreetly try new things.

Spicy Subscriptions also has a Deluxe Spice Box, which costs $34.95 a month.  You can view all of the subscription options by clicking here.  For a 5% off discount, you can use my referral coupon: hot150 (please let me know if this coupon no longer works).
