Arganesse Hair Treatment Review

I use heat styling tools on my hair every day, a blow dryer and a flat iron usually, and that definitely takes its toll on my hair.  It gets really dry, sometimes frizzy, and definitely gets a lot of split ends.  In order to combat the negative effects of heat styling, I like to use hair oils to moisturize my strands.  Arganesse Hair Treatment is one that I've recently begun using and it's wonderful!

Arganesse is a daily leave-in treatment that controls frizz and adds shine.  Argan oil is high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, all of which contribute to its hydrating capabilities.  Unfortunately, sometimes argan oil alone can leave hair feeling a bit greasy, and Arganesse was created to provide the same wonderful effects as argan oil, but without the greasiness.  It blends argan oil with the perfect combination of complimentary ingredients, and when applied to hair it gives a lovely gleam to dull, lifeless hair.

The ingredients are listed on the box in the following order: cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, argania spinosa (argan) kernel oil, tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E acetate), fragrance.  I looked up the first two at the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep database because I didn't recognize them, and they are both listed as low hazards.  If you're ingredient-conscious, I don't think there is much to worry about here.

Arganesse comes in a sturdy box and has a nice felt drawstring pouch you can store it in.  The instructions say to wash, condition, and towel dry hair, then pour a small amount (about the size of a quarter) into the palm and massage gently through your hair.

I take my showers at night and I let my hair air dry before bed.  I followed the instructions and then woke up the next morning with super soft hair!  I was very impressed by the results.  I also really enjoy Arganesse's scent, it's bright and citrus-y.  I'm not sure exactly what the fragrance is since it's only listed as "fragrance" in the ingredients, but it's nice and not what I expected since most argan oils are not sweetly scented.

Bottom Line: I like Arganesse and would recommend it.  It's definitely pricier, but since you only use a few drops at a time it will last you quite a while.
